Friendly environment. Dr Pete is a great eye doctor. Recently had my first visit there and I plan to be a regular patient there.

Pate is very thorough and conducted a terrific eye exam to ensure I had a perfect prescription for my eyes.

After finding out that Sams club hasn't had an eye doctor in three years a friend recommended that…read moreI check out Rosenstein. I am so glad that I did. Initially my appointment was supposed to be in January, but they put me on a cancelation list and they got me in way before January! The staff was nothing short of amazing and were helpful by answering all of my questions and doing such a thorough examination! I definitely would go back!

I was one of those people who waited until the last minute to take advantage of their vision…read moreinsurance benefits that were expiring soon... I had been meaning to go to the eye doctor's and get new glasses or contacts (if I didn't need new glasses since my insurance only pays for one or the other in a 12-month period). In the past, I've always gone to the places at Walmart or wholesale stores like BJ's/Costco. Now that I'm a fully functioning adult, I decided to do more research and choose a local practice. It was honestly hard to pick a local eye doctor, since there are many reputable ones in the area. It was ultimately between Rosenstein and one other for me, and I arbitrarily picked Rosenstein because it was literally 5 minutes down the road! They have an online booking system called PatientReach, so I didn't even have to call to make an appointment. When you make an appointment through PatientReach, you can include a comment, and I noted that I'd like to get a regular eye exam done, and potentially a contacts exam done if my vision is stable (enough) since last time, and there is no need for me to get new glasses. I made an appointment mid-November, and couldn't get a spot in until the second week of December (do not procrastinate like me if this would stress you out!). My appointment was with Dr. Gretz. Before seeing her, I got a few "tests" done really quickly by a staff member. Then my actual eye exam was performed by Dr. Grezt, who was pleasant and listened to my concerns. I did explain that I'm interested in getting contacts but only if I do not need to get new glasses. My vision was stable enough, and I did get the contacts exam done as well. She brought me to the optical department where Austin walked me through the process of getting contacts (should I choose to do so). Austin explained that I'd have to come back for a training session where I would have to put in and take out contacts three times. We also reviewed my insurance benefits, and I was told what my out-of-pocket expenses would be ($10 copy for eye exam, $60 copy for contacts exam + training, and up to $300 coverage for contacts). Optical department was more flexible in scheduling, and I was able to come back the same week for training (which was harder than I thought). I had to go back a second time to finish my "training." Then I was given a few different trial sets to use for the next week or so, before I met with Dr. Gretz again to finalize my contacts prescription and order new contacts. When I met with Dr. Gretz, I complained of the contacts drying out my eyes, and she gave me even more contacts to try. This put me back a little bit in terms of ordering, but I appreciated having 5+ contacts to try (I have astigmatism + dry eyes so this was basically me being extra). Since it was close to the end of the year, I called to finalize my order and made a payment over the phone. Once your contacts (or glasses I assume) are ready, you get an email notification, and you can pick them up any time during their normal business hours. Thank you for reading my novel. But on a serious note, thanks to Rosenstein Vision Center for making the contacts journey not as scary (both in terms of ensuring that I do not poke my eyes out and for explaining/interpreting the insurance for me)! I highly recommend Rosenstein Vision Center!

I was told that the lab made a mistake. The glasses were sent back to be replaced. After another week or 10 days I was told my glasses were ready for pick up. Still seeing double vision. The vision was somewhat better but still experiencing double vision. Sent back again and I was assured they'd be correct. Less than a week later I got an email saying the glasses were ready. When I got there the glasses weren't. I was told I got the email as a computer glitch. Tuesday when I called I was told the glasses had come in Monday. I waited until today (Friday) to pick them up. Still didn't correct the double vision! They wanted to schedule me for another eye exam. In the 60+ years I have never had to have a second eye exam. BTW I'm not a fan of remote eye exams. The exam was conducted from a site unknown. Interaction was via video. I asked for a refund since I have zero confidence in this practice. They said I couldn't get a refund for the exam. I seem to recall somewhere in the mumbo jumbo of disclaimers that was mentioned. I have their prescription from the original exam. I will visit a dependable eye doctor and have him compare the MyEyeDr script with his results. If I could give zero stars I would. The people in the office are fine. The ability to deliver their product is atrocious!

I scheduled my appointment and gave my insurance information. Upon again I gave my insurance information on the registration forms. The front desk told me what was covered by my plan. I went back and Dr Raess was very good. Shevwas professional and I was pleased. I was sent back out front and found out they did not stock contacts ... even my common prescription so they would have mine shipped in ... 5 to 7 days. I come back and go to settle things (they had my insurance already) and instead of the 6 months supply my insurance was suppose to cover I was billed for a year ... an extra $222. I figured I was there and would need them so I went on and paid for them ... a $257 bill paid in full that day. About a month later I get a bill for EVERYTHING because the insurance filing went wrong. For 2 months I chased insurance things down with no help from MyEyeDr because all billing is done in a 800 phone service center which I believe is offshore ... NO HELP FROM THE LOCAL OFFICE! I think I've finally got things straight and the insurance will handle the balance. Another month passes and I get another bill ... after I paid $257 upfront which was supposedly was the balance ... for another $162 because the insurance didn't cover the fitting and the amount of lenses I was told it did. I try to contact MyEyeDr but again get pushed to their 800 phone service center and again receive NO HELP. I call the local office and left messages asking for someone to return my call ... 2 DAYS later and they have yet to return my phone call. PATIENT BEWARE ... you better know what your insurance covers ... DO NOT COUNT ON THEIR FRONT OF HOUSE. Beware of the front also selling things you may not want. Lastly DO NOT EXPECT ANY ADMINISTRATIVE HELP FROM THIS COMPANY WHEN PROBLEMS ARISE ... THEY DO NOT JNOW WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE MEANS!

If she finds something in your eye that doesn't sit well with her, she makes sure she's satisfied it's safe before she sends you on your way. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. The front desk, intake and even checkout, all seem happy to see you! Their communication vehicles include not just call in but also texting and email. The texting option works well even with scheduling an appointment. You really can't go wrong trying them out! If you're paired with someone that the personality doesn't fit, ask to see someone else next time. They really do a great job getting you comfortable. Highly recommended!
