I would HIGHLY recommend Dunerite AC for your HVAC needs. When my old unit on my AZ room died I decided to replace it with a Daikin mini split system. I had gotten several quotes which were at best outrageous. I ended up calling Bill at Dunerite and to my surprise he came back with a quote that beat all others. He also gave me the extra warranty (10yrs) on my system because he is a Daikin certified installer for no extra charge. All other installers were giving me the standard 5 yr warranty. He showed up to my house with his son and installed the unit in half a day. They were both very professional and knowledgeable. He also gave me free advice on my other system (5 ton) on how to make it more efficient. Since then I have done what he had recommended and my other unit performance has drastically improved. I was planning to replace this unit as well (thinking there was something wrong with it) but now there is absolutely no need for that. The only thing that the unit needed was an additional intake so it can breath easier. Bill is the only contractor that I call when I need to service my AC units. read more

Made an appointment via the phone with Dustin over 2 1/2 weeks out. On the day of the appointment he never showed up nor called. After 30 minutes I called him and got VM, left a message and he couldn't' be bothered to return my call. Don't waste your time with these guys. We bought a home in December and the seller had this company come out and replace the furnace as well as the duct work that all needed to be redone and replaced. They did not fix the old duct work at all installed poorly. All phone numbers for this company have been disconnected and was told they have gone out of business. We never received out warranty information for the 10 year part and 3 year labor that was stated on our invoice. We now have to pay someone else to come and fix these issues even though this was supposed to have been done. read more

Dunrite installed an AC unit at my house. Dunrite phone numbers/website all go to dead links. I called in another company to diagnose the problem since Dunrite could not be reached to honor their service warranty. The company I called cited several instances of improper installation and even that I had been billed and paid for a 5 ton 16 seer unit and they installed a lesser unit. Going forward with legal action to recoup $2000 in repairs and installation corrections due to Dunrite's negligence and incompetence. read more

I was assigned to Dunrite by First American Warranty Company for service on my A/C was blowing hot air, I called for set up an appointment and they set up an appointment, need it to to cancel the appointment for work related issues, I called again and they said they could not do appointments with more than 7 days in advance. I called again 7/18 at *;12 AM and a Lady answer and said they are not longer are going to service my A/C, that I have to call my Warranty Company, she start yelling that is Monday and she has not Technicians and she hang up the phone on me. :-( I called back again to talk to the supervisor and they told she was the supervirsor, a very irrespecful and rude person that does not deserve to work with customers. I will take this issue to the CEO of this Corp. Because upper managements needs to know these problems. read more

I had a Trane A/C and furnace install by Dunrite in June 2019 in Cottonwood. A/C seems to work fine, but they did not test the furnace after install (said it wasn't necessary) and it did not work. Installer "pinched" the wires on igniter and I was told that the control board, pressure switch and igniter would be replaced. They replaced the igniter and control board but then told me the pressure switch was OK for this elevation. This was contrary to what I was previously told. The system is now working, but I have low confidence in the this product or the work that was done. Although the employees seemed like nice people, I question their knowledge and competency. Why not test? Why say one thing and do another? Neither Dunrite nor Trane look very good to me after this experience. read more

I would like to be able to provide a positive review, because I really like Bill and his son. But, their work was not acceptable. I got a new a/c unit, and though the price was right, it is one of the worst purchases I have ever made. Shoddy work, leaks in vents, had to get another a/c company out at least 4 times in the first year to keep it working without blowing attic grossness into the house. If you are looking for a great price, maybe this is your company; but if you are looking for a nice job, go elsewhere. I would have paid twice this amount to have a different experience. read more

Our vintage midcentury home needed a new AC unit to replace the almost 20 year old dinosaur on the roof. After getting wildly different quotes with different advice from 4 different AC companies I asked a contractor friend for advice on who to talk to. He told us to talk to Bill at Dunrite Air Conditioning. Bill gave us an extremely competitive bid and did not try to upsell us to a larger unit or one of the overpriced brands. Dunrite was more than willing to coordinate directly with our roofing company as we were installing a foam roof in the same week. Bill came out and double checked his installation after the roofers were done to ensure that both systems worked together as planned and that our new Nest thermostat was working to our satisfaction. First off - I'm a bit confused why all these reviews I see are from Phoenix area. I realize they have a location there. But the business/profile photos are of their Cottonwood location - and that is what my review is based on. I called on Jan 24, 2020 and set up an appointment for "maintenance/service" of our gas-pack heater unit. The appointment was set for Feb 10, 10am-12pm. On Feb 10, Dustin called me at 9:30am "sorry, we are so busy from the recent cold snap, not sure when we'll be able to get to you...I will check in with you later TODAY and give you an update" Today is Feb 18, over a week later, no return phone call. I understand they might be busy helping those with no heat at all, but common courtesy in any business situation - if you tell someone you will call them back, then DO IT! We ended up calling another local company, and they were out within 2 hours. We need our 20-year old unit replaced, so that's about $9k in business that Dunrite missed the boat on. I would not suggest them to anyone, just based on very poor customer service experience and follow up. read more

AC broke the first time the tenants turned it on. It was already HOT so this wasn't a good situation. The first company the tenants called (Pitzer's One Hour AC) charged me $89 just to go out and look, proposed a very high number to replace the AC unit and then refused to put anything in writing (despite telling me that's part of what the $89 fee would cover). I called Dunrite, Bill was very friendly and helpful, went out right away with no charge and quickly sent me a detailed email with his findings and suggestions. He graciously took my call to answer all the questions I had, and had a team out there the next day to fix the problem, at a price much lower than the first company. He even drove over to deliver the tenants a window unit AC to get them through the night. This is old-school service from a local company that really cares about customers. Dunrite Air Conditioning has got a customer for life! Am currently renting a home so it is not my own A/C unit. The unit is absolutely due for replacement and while I understand the owners of the home don't want to invest in a new unit we were in a pickle and it was a very hot pickle. Bill with Dunrite Air Conditioning came to the rescue and was able to keep the unit going enough to get us through the week. Then the unit gave out late on a Saturday afternoon, couldn't reach the property manager and then when I did they said there was nothing they could do until they spoke with the owners on Monday. Bill couldn't make it this time due to short notice and prior commitments and he agreed to meet me early Sunday before church to see what he could do. Bill also offered to share cost of a hotel for me and my family, this was not his responsibility and he offered anyway! Bill met me Sunday morning and found a way to get the unit going again. In my 29 years in Arizona I have dealt with many HVAC businesses and I had never until this experience been treated so well, even when I am technically not the actual customer. This family owned business has a love for humanity and it shows and that is why I will forever do business with Dunrite when we purchase our own home next year. Love love love these guys! Got their name from my brother when my AC broke last night. I called them up this morning and spoke to the owner Bill. He was super nice and let me know they could come by today and assured me they would figure out the problem and go from there. The customer service here is phenomenal. Bill and son have provided primary service for our house but we've also had one other guy from Dunrite and found he was just as nice, respectful of our house and enjoyable to work with. They respond extremely quickly when you have an outage or issue with your A/C. We've had a couple issues with complications of service, but everything was resolved quickly and with ease. read more

I replaced all the capacitors on my outside heat pump. I called around for advice and over the phone they all confirmed my compressor was likely seized and needed replacement. Bill showed up and before he started talking about selling me a new unit ( mine 22 yrs old), he swapped a diff type of capacitor and we should function through the hot season. The gentleman that came out explained to me how everything worked and provided me with a very fair rate (compared to what I researched). Our AC system was old, 23 yrs old ( 10 Seer Trane, 3Ton) and we decided to get it replaced with the latest. We received quotes from various companies including Dunrite. They gave me the best quote and was able to upgrade my system to 16 Seer Trane without much of a cost increase from 14 seer. I decided to replace both my systems and was able to get the best pricing for those units including service deals. It was a pleasure working with Bill and his son Abel. They were able to finish the work on time ( 2 days, 11/21/17) and we could not be happier. I am a very informed customer and always weary of contractors, and a hard grader. I had done my research on systems and was very impressed by Bill's willingness to work with me on the pricing and doing what is best for the customer. I had asked them to cover the carpets which they did, and after the job, had to ask them to vacuum the debris from the attic that had fallen on the carpets which they readily did upon request.
