My boyfriend is maintenance manager at an apartment complex and a tenant had a bad water leak in the bathroom. He checked it out only to find out he had to find a plumber fast. considering it was a weekend is it even possible to find a plumber how about getting a plumber to come out on a weekend with such short notice. Duane was and is wonderful. He fixed what Franklin Plumbing was too ill equipped to handle and incapable in my opinion. My Poppa had tried to fix the plumbing issue in my bathroom for a couple of weeks and the toilet just kept backing up, shower over flowing and lot of frustration. It seemed fixed then wasn't, but not for lack of trying. So, called Franklin Plumbing, believing situation would be taken care of. Parents are on a fixed income. Instead, they were charged a high amount for no more than Franklin Plumbing did. Almost $200 just to auger the toilet which means they plunged the toilet. My dad did that. Called Franklin Plumbing back next day to let them know plumbing problem was still not fixed. They came out again with a truck that had no equipment, just auger and a kid who decided the plumbing was bad and walls and floors needed to be removed. Mom called Duane at Stellar Plumbing. Duane listened, heard the situation, said he would be there in an hour. He was. The man is VERY knowledgeable, efficient and listened to everything. He evaluated the situation thoroughly and got to work. As he got into the situation he found that we had 2 major clogs at least and some roots. He let us know right up front what the cost would be, so we could decide. I have used Stellar Plumbing twice now. The first time was about two and a half months ago when we experienced a serious leak at the main valve located in the easement behind our house. Unfortunately the leak was on our side of the meter, so it was our responsibility rather than that of the town. We were made aware of the leak on a Friday, and I called several plumbers to find one who would come out that same day. Stellar Plumbing was the only one to actually answer my phone call; with all others I got a recorded message inviting me to leave a message. Stellar came out, assessed the problem, and told me they'd be by early the next day - Saturday - to fix it. They showed up on time as promised and completed the work quickly. The price they charged was in my opinion very reasonable, and I was happy with their service. Just the other day we experienced yet another plumbing emergency, and based on my previous experience with Stellar I called them again. Although they were obviously busy - this area does not have enough plumbers or other service professionals to support our exploding population - they managed to fit me into their hectic schedule. They completed the work efficiently and effectively, and an issue arose which could have proven problematic. In resolving this issue, Stellar demonstrated a very high level of professionalism and integrity. We experienced gurgling pipes in our home off and on for a period of time, which eventually occurred every time we utilized bathroom fixtures. So, we called several plumbing companies and discovered that we would not be able to schedule an appointment until the following week. Fortunately we called Stellar Plumbing and was surprised and pleased to hear that Duane would come out that day. When I described the problem we were having Duane asked if we happened to have an ejection pump on our system. When I responded yes, he said the pump is probably not shutting off. When he got here, sure enough, the pump was not shutting off and he discovered that a family of pack rats had moved in the well. He cleaned out the nest and got the pump to work properly. He also removed a clog in another section of the pipe, which he was able to diagnose just by listening to various sections of the pipes while water was running. We are impressed not only by his quick response to our call, but his knowledge, ability to diagnose and resolve the issue. An added plus is that he is very personable and a clearly likes what he does. We will not hesitate to utilize his company in the future and highly recommend him for others to consider. read more

One of my two toilets started leaking around the base, and within 2 days, both toilets were leaking around the base and the bathtub and shower were backing up. Of course this all came to a head on a $$$$$unday morning. I called a million plumbers, and Duane called me back within 20 minutes, quoted me a reasonable price for what should've been an easy sewer clean-out, and was at my house within the hour. I had roots in my sewer, but the house is older and has no sewer clean out, so Duane removed the toilet and went in that way. He crawled around under the house, dug up part of a planter bed, and all told, worked about 11 hours over two days, one of which was a Sunday emergency day. He was NOT going to be defeated. It was a really hard job, because of the no clean-out and also because it's about 200 feet out to the street, so that's a lot of pipe to root out. He attacked it from the house and from the street. He busted his hump, and then negotiated an insanely fair price for the actual work he put in. I will never call another plumber. He was amazing, and he's still undefeated as a plumber. read more

Let me just take a minute to sing some praises for Duane Miller of Stellar Plumbing. Not only was Duane very personable, but he was very knowledgeable of plumbing repairs. I had called him for what should have been a routine toilet change out, an hour's work at most. He arrived in less than an hour, and began to work. Well... as usual plumbing is never as easy at it seems. Turns out there was an issue with a loose flange - not good. He quickly developed a plan and set to work. He had to go get some supplies (and, unlike all other workman I've hired, he did not charge me for that time). It took him over 3 hours to fix, but he fixed it very well. I am extremely pleased with the results and with Duane overall. I have since called him to do a small job for me. He told me it was easy and I could probably do it myself. What?! How many businesses would tell you how to do it yourself, rather than come out to do it and charge you for it. Honestly, if I could give Duane and Stellar Plumbing 100 stars, I would! I needed many things related to plumbing in my house in Prescott and I looked on Yelp to see if I could find someone to help me. I called Stellar based on Yelp reviews and what I found was a great guy with lots of knowledge and with a love for the customer to help in any way he could. Duane was literally at my house within 45 minutes of my phonecall and worked tirelessly for the better part of 2+ days to complete everything that was needed. He is kind, personable and just fun to have around! He also has some great design ideas as he has a background in painting among other things! Roots were invading the sewer line of our house and we collected a few estimates to fix the issue. Stellar Plumbing was able to diagnose the suspected reason why immediately as an aging rubber boot between the house line and the city backflow valve. They gave an immediate quote of well below half of Ben Franklin's and 25% lower than other local plumbers. They brought in a mini excavator and discovered their diagnosis was spot on. They replaced the rubber connector with PCV and packed rock salt around the pipe to discourage future root intrusion, filled the hole and redistributed the decorative rock they had to displace for the dig and left the yard area looking as it had before the job. They also provided advice and loaned me a tool for me to use for a separate minor plumbing issue I was tackling myself at the time. We are very happy with the end result, the helpful attitude and especially the price...since we didn't have budget for this repair to begin with. read more

We discovered a water leak outside on Sat night after dinner and Duane was here within an hour after our call. He told us that the Fire Dept would come turn off our main water line to the house for free. He worked to locate the source of the leak and made a temporary cap so we could have hot water and re-lit the water heater igniter which went out when I inadvertently turned off the gas. He came back promptly Sun morning to finish repairing the broken pipes replacing the elbows, fittings etc. He flushed the water heater and replaced the thermal expansion unit and the galvanized fittings with brass ones. He even gave us the name of a very affordable landscaper who could restore the landscaping and winterize our drip system.Thoroughly competent, professional and efficient!! We have an older home in Prescott that we rent out. As we live in California, we don't have regular tradesman for all our Prescott needs. We were checking out the Prescott house after our latest tenant had moved out, and noted a slow, ongoing leak from the shower head. I am handy, but do not do well with plumbing, so I called Stellar Plumbing to see if they could come out. He asked me to send a couple of photos of situation, which I did. Less than an hour later, he called and told me exactly what needed to be done. They were busy with other jobs and could not come out for a day or so. Duane explained exactly what I needed to do in order to replace the cartridges. Duane was amazing from the second he answered the phone! I happened to be in town from San Diego helping my 91 year old Grandma who had broken her arm when her 2 toilets and 2 showers began filling up with sewage water. Within 15 minutes of calling Duane he was at my Grandma's home and hard at work. My Grandma's home is 50 years old and has original toilets. In other words Duane was in for some real hard work! Bought a 20 year-old house recently, that had been used extensively as a rental. Needless to say there were a lot of things in the way of maintenance that were sadly neglected. One of those areas was the plumbing system. We called Duane because we previously had outstanding service from him at our primary residence. Well they never showed up or even called to cancel. I had to call them after waiting around all day during the window of arrival. I called Home Depot and they said they would have a different plumber call me. Stellar Plumbing came and fixed many of problems with drain, root, and pressure situations in the bathroom of my 100+ year old house I rent. He was able to get into the piping and be able to clear out the roots and debris in the pipe. He also cleared out other pipelines pertaining to the laundry as well as help out with pressures in the lines for the showers. He was timely, extremely easy to communicate with and timely. He was only here a few hours (2.63 hours). Duane was also not a plumber that goes along with the appointment of 9-3 and then show up at 4:10. He showed up first thing when stated from 8am to 10am. All our drains and toilets stopped working, and we discovered this just about dinner time. Water from the washing machine was coming up in the bathtub, and we've only been in the house 3 weeks! Last year our house suffered a flood due to a broken ice maker gasket. Rather than just replace the broken part, we decided to buy a new refrigerator and have it installed by STELLAR.
