The drain for the kitchen sink was plugged. I did the white vinegar baking soda trick and that did absolutely nothing. Time to call Dwayne that stellar plumbing. The man showed up in an hour plug was 25 feet down my drain and he had it cleared and everything flowing smoothly in no time. I had gone down to Ace and purchased super Drano and another product and a 10 foot snake to run in there but to no avail. It turned out He found a pin hole in the refrigerator ice maker hose. He referred me to Ed of HI-TECH Restoration to see what damage needed to be done and luckily we didn't need any real repairs. I called Duane on a Saturday afternoon with a pretty urgent issue with a leaking pipe inside my wall. I'm pretty handy but this pex to copper connection was something I just had no experience with. He said he'd be there within an hour, and he was. It only took him a few minutes to put in a new connection, and he let me pepper him with questions about how to replace that particular kind of connection. He also gave me advice about how to take care of the mold that had grown due to the moisture in the wall. He did a good job, he was super efficient and is a pretty good guy as well. read more

Despite them coming quickly for a leak under our tub, there was no discussion of hourly rate or estimate to find the problem. Spent at least an hour opening up the wall on the non plumbing and of the tub, only to expose mold that we knew was already there. Unnecessary time spent, finally opened the front of the tub, wonder why he didn't do that first, and found the leak. I would think being a knowledgeable plumber he would have done that first. I figured on the high end it would be around $800, but we were charged $1,600 for a 4-hour job. Basically discovered the leak, plugged it, and tore a bunch of drywall out. So, about a month ago a friend of mine had a clogged toilet at her vacation house. A friend had recommended Duanae at Stellar Plumbing. It was a straightforward non-emergency problem that just needed a snake job, and Duane was done in no time. NOW HERE IS THE STORY... Like I said this is a vacation home, so there had no been a lot of activity in the house, and it was clogged again this morning. I called Duane, and told him I was a friend and we had another clog at the house. Duane said I will be there within the hour. 20 minutes later, here is Duane out of his van and looking at the same trap he had fixed a month ago. In five minutes, the drain was unclogged, and I asked what happened, he said, "It looks like the paper froze." Not any deficiency in his work, just the weather and a bad sewer pipe depth, (House grade is below street grade to sewer), and the fact that we had not run hot water in over a week. Duane Miller is an excellent plumber and a great guy. He has serviced our house twice. The first time, he diagnosed our plumbing system backup as being due to roots in the septic line. He ground out the roots and gave me good advice on how to keep them out. The second time was because the lines had backed up again. He diagnosed this one as being due to the pitch of our pipes being flat in a couple of spots. He didn't charge me anything for this service call, though he was here for the better part of an hour, watched the flow from multiple sink/toilet/tubs, and crawled under the house to inspect the pipes. Replace a hot water heater to say installed previously evidently six years ago. Don't believe it was that long. I messed up and didn't write the date on the hot water heater like I always do when I have a problem this one was out of warranty by two months three months and they wouldn't give me any warranty on it the new one that they installed that was installed today had a manufactures date of April 2023 so the water heater that I bought today is already six months out of warranty. I question how come there's not a leniency on it that this one sit in a warehouse and then when I if I have problems, then I am the one responsible for it because of the manufactures date very disappointed in it, the crew that did the work did a fantastic job on the previous job when they installed the previous one I had a plastic pan and they told me that it was against code that I had to have a metal pan and so they charge me for a metal pan and also the new installer said that I had to have stainless steel supply lines and the previous guys use my old lines so I'm just very disappointed in some of the things that happened on this but I am impressed with the team that installed it read more
