One of the workers was extremely rude, not just to customers but to other employees as well. I witnessed them yelling across the shop at coworkers in a very unprofessional and uncomfortable way. She had on a hoodie, was wearing glasses , and had a bun in her hair. It completely ruined the atmosphere and made it hard to enjoy what should have been a fun treat. The ice cream itself was decent, but the poor customer service made me not want to return. I hope management addresses this issue because no one should have to deal with that kind of behavior, whether they're working there or visiting.

I saved the punch cards for a few years until I returned home (been almost 2 years because of Covid). But they would not honor my free cone. It's not a huge deal but if this were my business, I'd just honor it for the loyal customer who obviously has frequented this location over the years. I was not appreciative of the way she told me too, I'm a humiliating tone, "um we haven't accepted punch cards for four years..." I think we will just stick with Dairy Queen from now on unless management makes this right somehow. I'll do my best to contact them but am not going to waste a lot of energy doing it. They still had a decent amount of donuts in stock and the line was growing fast. I thought everything was reasonably priced and the standout donuts were the glazed (which is how I usually judge a donut shop) and the blueberry cake. I was not a fan of the old fashioned donut as oddly enough it left a horrible aftertaste in my mouth. That might just be me so I'll give the credit where it's due. Hopefully I can make it back over here to try some other varieties down the line.

I had to travel to White Oak on a recent Saturday morning, which is a neighborhood that I rarely…read morevisit. Naturally, I had to seek out a donut shop on the way in my quest to find not only the perfect donut in Pittsburgh... but the world. I looked for shops along the way and found the Corner Donut Shop, located at the corner of a strip mall on the McKeesport/White Oak border. It's open from 6 a.m. to noon, so I called ahead an order the day before knowing I wouldn't be able to pick up the donuts until about 11:30 a.m., figuring they would be low on options when I arrived. Surprisingly, there still were a decent number of options left when I stopped, but calling ahead an order was the right idea, since I was able to get exactly what I wanted. The shop itself was clean and had a solid variety. The seating area was blocked off because of Covid precautions, but looked like it would be a nice spot to hang out and have some coffee. Now for the donuts: Cake donut with vanilla frosting and sprinkles: Very soft, dense, and chewy, both the donut and frosting were mildly sweet. It felt like an upgraded Entenmann's donut. I prefer a cake donut with a crispy exterior, but this was still tasty. Cinnamon roll: The cinnamon roll is a special donut, not included as a part of a half dozen or dozen. It was quite large, soft, and had a subtle sweetness with a noticeably stronger cinnamon flavor than most other cinnamon rolls I've had. I enjoyed the strong cinnamon flavor, and would welcome other shops kicking up the cinnamon level in their cinnamon rolls. Vanilla cream filled: This was the sweetest donut of theirs that I tried, buoyed by a massive amount of vanilla cream. The actual donut itself was doused in powdered sugar and was a bit dry, but overall, it was balanced well by the cream filling. Toasted coconut cream: By far, this was the best donut I tried. Reminiscent of a coconut cream pie, the base is a raised donut, topped with vanilla cream and toasted coconut. The layered arrangement of the donut is unique, and avoids the common foible of cream popping out of the donut when you take a bite. The coconut was nicely toasted, and the vanilla cream was a perfect complement. If you visit this shop and like coconut, you need to try this donut. If I'm in the area, I would definitely visit the Corner Donut Shop for another toasted coconut cream donut and to try some other varieties. It's a solid little neighborhood donut shop with good variety, reasonably priced (I paid about $9 for a half dozen and a cinnamon roll). Check it out if you're in the area.

The lines seem to be clearly marked with "Order Here" and "Pick Up Here" but even with a building full of employees, I waited behind another family who inadvertently stayed in the order line. The staff should pay attention to guests arriving and ensure to grab orders as they come - i think they are all new employees for the summer season. I picked the Cinnamon Churro Waffle Stix this time. The employee kindly asked if I was okay to wait, as they take some time to make - no problem there, I will always enjoy a fresh made treat! The waffle stix were slightly burnt but the charred flavor didn't bother me. They were coated in a copious amount of caramel, cinnamon sugar, and ice cream! Round donuts include the following flavors: Glazed, Powdered Sugar, Chocolate, Peanut (with marshmallow cream), Cinnamon Sugar, Plain Old-fashioned, and Sprinkle (with marshmallow cream). I chose the Raspberry Jelly Stick, and my husband chose the Chocolate Cream Stick. The employee provided excellent service in greeting us, patiently waiting for us to decide our flavors, and processing our payment. I do recommend that the business add labels near the donuts, but the employee did explain the flavors to us. Each donut cost $1.90. Both of our donuts tasted very good.
