I'd never been to this location yet but it's very nice, very clean, and very easy to get in and out of. The staff was welcoming upon walking in and the service was speedy. I ordered a dairy free plant based peanut butter shake and it was spectacular. My daughter didn't want a shake so she ordered chocolate covered strawberries, which she devoured in seconds and said they were amazing. Her boyfriend ordered a mint cookies & cream shake. I tasted it and it was very good even though I dislike mint chocolate chip ice cream. This is a great place to grab a shake, so if you are having a sweets craving stop in. You won't be disappointed.

The place itself is awful: antiquated and small, with some parking spaces in the front and a gravel lot for the rest. There is no indoor seating and no public rest rooms, which is not good for an establishment that sells not only ice cream, but full meals. The bright white lights where we sat serve to attract biting insects. I will take the large, comfortable Dairy Queen in my neighborhood with plenty of indoor seating over Scotty's.

Tasty Creme is a small ice cream shop located on Library Road in South Park, very close to the county line. There is a private parking lot, and outdoor seating. The ordering is in a small lobby, but other than that there is no indoor seating or other areas inside. It is open seasonally and closes for the winter. On this visit, we went on a Thursday night in June around 8:30 PM. There were a few other people there, but we did not wait long at all. We did not feel rushed, and were allowed to take our time to look around and order. I am always impressed with the selection that Tasty Creme has in terms of novelty and to-go items. There is a chest freezer that is always stocked with various goodies, sandwiches, pies, and other things. They even have dog treats made in there! It was not super crowded on this day, so we had some time to chat with the girls working. They were all so nice, offered some product suggestions, and overall very friendly. One of the girls was training, and we had the honor of being served her very first cone - which was great. We ordered a few things. I personally got a Small S'mores Flurry with Crunchies added - it was great! Ordered this after a suggestion from the girls who waited on us and glad that I did. Additionally, we ordered a premade dog treat, a Small Chocolate-Dipped Vanilla Cake Cone, and an Oreo Extreme Parfait. Everyone, including our dog, enjoyed their sweet treats. In terms of value, I have always thought this place was a little pricy. But, it really depends on what exactly you order. Also, I discovered on this visit that there is a slight discount offered when paying in cash. For all of our items, I believe it was around $17 with the cash discount applied. They do accept cards though! I would recommend this shop, especially with it being a local small business. The line is usually not long, and you can customize your order however you like.
