Customer service is severely lacking at this location. Placed an order, asked them for a slight customization (extra crispy bacon) and they quite literally laughed at my expense and made fun of me and my order the entire time loudly repeating "extra crispy bacon!" This place has messed up my order for sandwiches multiple times. I don't eat meat and they keep giving me sausage egg and cheese or bacon egg and cheese. I did something really dumb... I preordered on the app and indicated I was going thru the drive thru to pick it up. I get there drove right past the speaker. I realized my mistake before it was too late and couldn't back up because there was a car behind me. They were sooo understanding! They offered to bring my drinks to me. The young man that brought out my drinks was super friendly! Very nice to see at 7 in the morning! Thanks for the great service! Oops - I was so excited that they were so nice - I forgot to say that my iced coffee was awesome as usual. I now get liquid cane sugar in my drinks vs sugar because the sweetness is distributed evenly. I highly recommend doing that and you can customize via the app! This DD may be the poorest-staffed location in the franchise. I drive past this location every weekday morning but rarely stop because both the drive-thru and in-store time spent for a cup of coffee is typically 10 - 15 minutes. Every day the drive thru line seeps out of the parking lot yet they still don't staff up to meet the demand during peak hours. Additionally, the customer experience is further eroded by the unfriendly staff. Management should compare the customer experience of this location to better staffed locations. Business is booming but if better staffed, it could be much stronger with more satisfied customers. read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE... I came in tonite for an ice coffee and to pick up a munchkin box to complete my 11 year old's Dunkin donut costume. They informed me they couldn't give me a box. I offered to buy 25 munchkins then they could put the munchkins in a bag and give me the box. They refused. They said they couldnt give me an empty box. I explained that I was buying it but I don't want the donut holes in the box. They continued to refuse. No manager on duty. They also refused to call a manager. Eventually they did call and came back that this one time they were making an exception to give me an empty box when I paid for the full box of munchkins. They just didn't get it. Our order was messed up, and when we went to correct it the manager of the store was insistent that the customer was wrong. He refused to cooperate with us and stormed off to the back of the store. I came here after I went to the nearby doctor. I usually don't go around this area. But I am compelled to write a review because of the stellar customer service I received. The man was very courteous and was quick and very friendly. This little boy came in and it was his birthday and he right away gave him a free donut and a toy that he told his coworker was on him. The little boy was so happy and picked up a toy and a donut. Acts like this make you feel comfortable --- as i stayed working on my laptop. I was debating to go home and work after the doctor but I am happy that I ended up here at this Dunkin Donuts. I will personally come here more often. read more

Worst DD I have EVER stepped foot into. There was one employee working the drive through and trying to help us at the walk-in registers. For her convenience we had to order at the pickup counter. I rarely order donuts so it was a little inconvenient running to the other counter to see the donut selection and running back to where she was. Apparently they charge extra if you want an extra coffee cup lid? Wait what??? Really??!!! Then naturally she fails to get my order right. Went through drive thru. Gave the girl $10 and change. I pointed out to her that I was giving her a $10 bill. She still gave me the wrong change and when I pointed that out she tells me that I gave her $5 not $10. The manager told me that I would have to come back the next day and I would get the $5 if her cash drawer is $5 over, but he would not stop and have it counted then. I had to write a review because of a great experience yesterday. I was in there for all of 5-10 minutes and a man, I assume the owner of that location came in and displayed such kindness and leadership, it could have been a training video for management. He warmly greeted every employee when he came in, he was talking in the back to someone new and said "we're really happy to have you. We'd love any ideas you have about how to do things better": how empowering! Then he stepped outside from behind the counter to make a call, and noticed someone was waiting in line... for like 5 seconds and stepped back behind the counter and offered them a free donut for waiting and talked to them until the cashier who was handling something else could come over. The whole crew was friendly and efficient. They say integrity is what you do when no one is watching. I was watching, and the whole thing warmed my heart. read more

I can totally understand why this is a one star donut shop. People from my office would rotate each week to pick up donuts from this location. We would get 2 or 3 dozen donuts each week visit. Yesterday I went there to get 4---- 1/2 price drinks after 3pm. LINDA who called herself the manager, informed me that I would not be able to get 4 drinks at a time. Only 2 per person. Our office gets 50 dollars a week in donuts/drinks minimum from this place. Because I was the only one in the car, I could not get 2 additional drinks for the office staff. Well Linda, way to go. I went down Boughton to the Bolingbrook Dunkin, and they had NO PROBLEM giving me 4 drinks. They just rang me up 2 drinks at a time. And for that , you can let PAT and SCOTT your owners know that OUR ENTIRE office will now be going to the JANES and BOUGHTON BOLINGBROOK DUNKIN DONUTS. Where apparently, they realize that 3 dozen donuts a week or more is worth being customer FRIENDLY. Not to mention all the morning drive thru our office staff USED to go there for. I wish I didn't have to give stars because they are not worthy of any! Used to go here all of the time and then they messed up my order 4 out of 5 days! I decided today to give it a shot after about 2 months of not going and of course, they got my order wrong! The guy at the window was not friendly and didn't say anything to me, the only thing he did was stare! When I called, the guy acted like it was my fault and tried to tell me that I did specify which sandwich I wanted (ham and cheese on an english muffin) umm that's all I've ever said and got the correct one. Try again, James F. of Darien. They still don't get it right. There are three Dunkin Donuts I could go to but this one is directly in route to work. I will start going out of my way to go to the other two. This one is sadly still pitiful. The Area Manager is a very nice lady and I have talked to her in general here and there but these people don't deserve $15/hr let alone the $8.10 min. They get the order wrong about every 2nd to 3rd time which equates to approx. 41% your order is screwed up. Doesn't matter if it is no sweetener in your drink, no butter on your bagel, your Dunkichinno being half foam, or your Vanilla Chia being half full.....they screw it up and you pay for it, not them. How hard could it be? Well, I'll tell you. I had to work Concessions all thru college to PAY FOR MY OWN college so it is about the same pace but they have arguably a bigger product line. The "rush hour" crowds were demanding and a certain length duration in the same. But guess what? We got the orders RIGHT! I know, and understand, the need to clear the drive-up lane but we are talking a few seconds extra to check the order at Drive-up position. The people behind you...DO YOUR JOB....with some personal pride. Don't mark my cup "sugar" when I wanted "yellow sweetener" but it is given to me with NOTHING.
