Always great quick service in their small, clean shop. Go early if you can- lines start forming out the door by 9ish! It's a small place so they still move quickly. Been in Naperville all my life and never knew about this local gem! Don't even think about going to Panera or Einstein for bagels anymore. Their bagels are larger, fresher, and softer. They keep fresh better (the packaging tells you how to store your bagels properly so they're fresh every time). They have so many flavors of bagels and huge tubs of cream cheese flavors I've never seen before! I've gotten their Lox Cream Cheese Bagel, holy cow it's huge! Insanely stuffed, they did not skimp out on the salmon or cream cheese. Flash backs to all the times i ordered a lox bagel at restaurants and none compared to this portioning. I thought about going to Jeff's Bagel Run to see what the hype is all about. People said they prefer Big Apple Bagels. They have a spacious parking lot. There are two tables you can dine at outside. Inside is primarily a grab and go. When you order a breakfast bagel, you have to say what kind of bagel you want and if you want cheese. I ordered one southern tradition with cheddar herb bagel, sausage, and cheese and one northern omelet with garlic bagel and cheese. They were both still hot when I got home. I liked the way they packaged the bagels, easier to eat if you're in a hurry. I think they used pork sausage, it was pretty decent. Big portions, it took two to fill me up. Service was friendly. Prices were good. Overall, it's a 4.5 for me. They do charge 3% if you are using a card. Not much else to say, the bagels were soft and firm. 3.5 but rounding up. Woah... place was PAAAACKED on a Saturday morning. I stopped in not realizing there is no indoor seating. This made it difficult for my group to enjoy our bagels but we did the best we could. They do have a high table along the window so we used that to put our stuff down and stood while eating. We did get really lucky with only 3 people ahead of us to order. After that it was game over, the line was out the door and there was absolutely no room. It's a place where you grab and go. Noted. Service did take some time since it was extremely busy. Staff members were organized-ish, they took orders on a shared notebook and then went to the next customer. When my order was being prepared I had to remind them again of what I wanted. I tried a jalapeño bagel toasted with vegetable cream cheese. Cream cheese was delicious - salty, flavorful and thick. The bagel was good flavor wise, I would probably order it again but I am interested in trying others. I wish it was more on the thicker side but overall very tasty. Tip - there is a 3% charge if you're using a credit card. To avoid this I recommend paying with cash. read more

Went here for bagels for the first time and was blow away by how fresh the bagels were. They have all different varieties and they make them fresh that day. They also make the cream cheeses fresh each day. The bagels were the best I've had and were super soft. The cream cheese was like whipped cream cheese and was a great touch. We were craving bagels and decided to check out Big Apple Bagels near us. When you walk in, you can smell the fresh, delicious bagels! There is no seating inside so this is a to-go place. The service was quick and the food was prepped fresh right in front of you! The menu has a bunch of breakfast bagel sandwiches and lunch sandwiches. They also offer A TON of cream cheese options which I love! We got 2 breakfast bagel sandwiches - one was an Asiago bagel with jalapeño cheddar cream cheese with bacon, egg, and cheese. The other was an everything bagel with scallion cream cheese with bacon, egg, and cheese. Both bagels were absolutely amazing! The actual bagels were toasted to perfection, they tasted so fresh, and the inside was soft while the outside was crispy. The eggs inside were fluffy and yummy and made for the perfect breakfast sandwich with the crispy bacon. The cream cheeses were SO GOOD! I loved the jalapeño cheddar flavor - there was a slight hint of spice while also being perfectly creamy and flavorful. The scallion cream cheese was iconic with its green onions mixed with plain cream cheese. We were so impressed with this quick bagel shop and can't wait to go back and try more of their bagel and cream cheese combinations! read more

The staff at this location of Big Apple Bags is what makes this place great. It is a local gem tucked away in a plaza - I completely missed it for years until I came across it with a friend. I would highly recommend checking this place out! I got a jalapeno cheddar bagel and cream cheese and while I loved the cream cheese, I would have preferred a different flavor of bagel just because it leaned more cheesy than spicy. I made a platter order same day and it was ready in a half hour. The bagels are amazing and there are so many different flavors as well as many cream cheese flavors which taste amazing. This place has been crazy busy whenever I have been there. They offer a bagel of the week ~ and this week it happened to be strawberry. It has been years since I have had a strawberry bagel. Bagels are sooooooooooooo fresh with tons of options for cream cheese. Every day they offer a "special". They have you covered for all meals. Very friendly and accommodating. If you order ahead ~ or the previous day ~ it is ready for your bagel fix upon arrival. You may have to wait in line, but don't you want yours fixed just the way you like it? Wow what a great dining experience! When I leave a review telling the owner that I got food poisoning, their response isn't "I'm sorry for your experience", or "We'll try to improve our practices", but instead "it's impossible for you to have gotten food poisoning. We microwave everything, and you should have rejected your food if you don't like microwaves". Nothing I like more than having my food poisoning experience invalidated by someone who aims to microwave everything! A few months back I visited this place. Inside was really hot. I asked one of the workers why is it so hot in here and they said the owner hasn't gotten the air conditioning fixed. So I can only imagine how fun that is for the workers . The workers are very nice and pleasant. The food is good. I left $10 tip and the workers were very appreciative of that and said unfortunately we don't get the tips. The boss pockets their tip money at the end of the day. Which is pretty sad. Again, I feel sorry for the workers that have to work with someone like this. read more

I love the bagels here. They are soft and don't need to be toasted. They have a wide assortment of bagels and cream cheese. Another location that I went to had a breakfast sandwich with an over hard egg. I wish this location did that because I am not as big into scrambled eggs. I think it's something they are just rolling out at some locations. However I did notice that they had less of a selection than the location in Oswego. For example the other location I went to also had muffins and a wider variety of breakfast sandwiches. You can only pay with cash but I wish they change the rule to be that you can only pay with cash if under five dollars. We are a very cashless society now and it can be hard to have cash on you. read more

Toasted bagel with cream cheese made in house. I like the white pepper they add to their vegetable and jalapeño cream cheese. My favorite bagel is asiago, jalapeño and chocolate chip. You can ask them to cut your bagels in half and freeze them or just go there for daily fresh ones. The morning staff knows their customers by name and is delightful and attentive. Definitely recommend giving them a try. My only complaint is that they don't take credit cards. Cash only. read more
