Really solid bagels and excellent service! We ordered the Everything bagel with Onion & Chive cream cheese shmear and it was very delicious. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Our bagel was perfectly toasted, and the combination with the onion & chive cream cheese was amazing. The indoor seating is ample, and the service was very quick. I wanted to mark this lower, but the staff was so friendly and helpful, I had to give an extra star just for them. My sandwich, on the other hand (bacon, cheddar, egg on a cheesy hashbrown bagel), not so great. The ingredients were fresh, and would have garnered 5 stars, but there was pepper on EVERYTHING! Pepper on the egg, in the egg, under the egg - I do not like this much pepper, Sam I am!! Cheesy Hashbrown Bagel - hello!! Should be delicious, right? Wrong! Big, crunchy pepper all over. I had the Nova Lox on an Everything bagel. The sandwich was fresh, well prepared and delicious. 5 Stars for the food! The service was ok. The order line moved from one side of the long counter to the other. Everyone was lining up on the wrong side of the long counter and figuring it out on their own. There was no signage or instructions from the cashier. The latte machine was broken so I had a regular coffee instead. Lost revenue for the store though! Overall, I would give service 2.5 Stars. Ambiance is not what it once was! This was a great spot to sit, visit, and enjoy the food and ambiance. At least a year ago, the tables were removed and this store was take-out only with large, empty, dingy looking open spaces. They have now added some tables and chairs to one side of the store but they are utilitarian and not very inviting. So, for ambiance, I would give 2 stars which is really too bad and one reason why I will not frequent this store very often going forward. However, when I go with hubs/kiddies, here is what we ALWAYS GET: -Me: Lox on Sesame Bagel,minus the onion, reducedfat cream cheese, and extra capers and a medium coffee (I always try their season flavors) -My hubs: Turkey Sausage egg bagel, hot coffee -My 12 yr old dude: Geez, can't predict , ha ha! -My 9 yr old dudette: Chocolate coffee cake and fruit cup, water -My 6 year old daughter: Chocolate coffee cake and Apple Cider This space is enormous. Understand why seating was eliminated during Covid, but stopping in to grab and go now just isn't the same... or worth traveling in for. If new business model is only take away, I wish they'd free up this prime downtown real estate for another sit down business to occupy. We ordered a half-dozen bagels to go with a tub of veggie spread, as well as an iced mocha coffee. Upon arriving home, we toasted their bagels before serving. Their jalapeno cheddar bagel with veggie cream cheese is perfectly flavored and hits just the right spot! Their sesame seed and everything bagels are great options as well. The coffee was tasty and complemented the bagels nicely. Overall, the experience was good and I'll return in the future - the prices are somewhat high though. They let me know that there is a table for curbside, next to GrubHub and DoorDash. They told me they get too busy to answer the phone. Clearly they view the pandemic changes to be temporary. I took my visiting family on a Saturday for bagels and coffee. No seating with tables pushed in corner with chairs stacked. It was dirty and they were out of almost all flavors of bagels. People standing everywhere waiting for their orders. Super disappointing from what it used to be. I loved taking my kids there when they were young. I emailed corporate and their response two weeks later was that the removal of tables was "in order to quickly deliver the best food experience." I'm not sure their customers would agree. Wow. What the hell is going on in this place? Confused ordering process, staff that was out of it and/or rude, bizarre seating arrangements...this place is a mess! It's been a long time since I was last here, mostly because if you get here after like 7 am there were never any plain bagels, and since that was the choice for my usual companions it just led to frustration. At least this time when I got here a bit after 9 on a week day there were plenty of plain...but not a lot of anything else. I don't know about you, but this seems early to me to be wiped out of stock, considering the fact that they are open til 5 pm? I have to assume at some point they will restock, but who knows when that is, or what they will be refilling. Sigh. I tried to navigate my order with the first clerk, who was practically inaudible in the loud place. I asked a question about a couple of the cream cheeses (garlic herb vs. garlic veggie), but it quickly became obvious that this would be a big production so I just ordered the plain. Then you're shipped down to the other end to pay, which was rushed though there was no one else waiting (and sorry, but it's cold out and I have my gloves, not to mention a drink plus an extra to-go bag teetering on this tiny basket, so excuse me). Also, if you have to ask for something else later it's treated like a major inconvenience. The seating is really weird, which I think can be attributed to patrons pulling tables around into groups to suit their needs and not putting them back. Assorted groups were gathered for whatever purpose, I don't know or care, all of them darting suspicious glances at me as I walked over to find a table (wtf? Maybe because I'm not a senior citizen, which seemed the general age of everyone parked in the dining area). As it was, I ended up sitting at a small table near a crowd suited for God's waiting room who were bitching about how their church driveway gets blocked when the ambulances go by for the hospital or some damn thing. (Hey, WWJD, douchebags.) Irritating enough dining experience, not to mention the fact that the floor was a mess. Overall, the only draw here is the bagels and cream cheese. Don't go here, You'd best have a clear schedule when visiting this location, because you'll be waiting 5-10 minutes before anyone is available to help you. Then an additional 15-20 if for anyone reason you want some type of bagel sandwich. Very poorly run and either mismanaged or understaffed. It appears as though they usually only have 1-2 people working any given morning. When it clearly takes at least 3 people to serve this busy Naperville area. I've been here 5 times in the last month and have had the same experience every time, such a shame. If you ever have the half hour to wait their products are actually pretty good. read more
