Wow! This cute restaurant really hit the spot. The service was quick and the employee that I…read moreinteracted with was very pleasant. I ordered the "Call of Duty" aka a Cuban sandwich and the seasoned fries and they were absolutely fantastic! They tasted so good I ate half the sandwich before taking a picture to share. This place is an absolute gem and I will absolutely be returning.

Stopped here for breakfast mid-week and really enjoyed it. Immediately noticed the well cared for…read moreexterior, and inside the restaurant was small but tidy. The restaurant is a military theme, the little details are well thought out. You order your food at the counter and sit down. It's only partial- service. It was a little awkward because we aren't locals and didn't know that but not really a big deal. We ordered the PB&J French Toast and Scrambled Eggs, with Sausage and Home Fries, Home fries were good and crispy. That's always important right? I love the "mess-hall" trays they serve the food on, its little touches like that that make a place like this unique. Food was reasonably priced and was tasty. In retrospect I wish I tried the Corncake's (on special) I also saw some dinner items and wish we were local enough to try. The one unfortunate thing that happened to me was that the coffee bar is self-serve. I took a coffee to go and when I got out to the car I noticed the lid was dirty (so I went back in to change it out ) no big deal but I ended up tripping really bad on an un-even "lip" in the sidewalk just outside the front door. YIKES! Of course this is my own fault but I hope that someone sees this and the sidewalk is addressed.

I haven't stopped by this location in a long time and took it upon myself to pick up something…read morequickly this morning in the middle of errands. Please keep in mind I've worked in the restaurant industry for over 20 years and I'm pretty open minded about someone possibly having a bad day but even with effort on my part, this employee did not seem to enjoy being at work nor seemed to be in the right state of mind to be there. I walked up to the counter and the employee who approached the counter in an entitled stance (so I assume the store or shift manager) did not greet me. She pulled out a sheet of deli paper and just stood in front of it. I waited because I wasn't sure if she was ready because she wasn't saying anything and she wasn't making eye contact. She finally looked up, still not saying anything, so I took it upon myself to say "Hi. How are you?". With her glossy eyes (either hungover, sleep deprived, or high) she replies with a long annoyed blink and said "Doing great." sarcastically. Since she still didn't say anything about beginning my order or wanting to interact at all, I took it upon myself to begin my order. I overheard her venting to her coworker, while wrapping up my sandwich, telling her jokingly that she couldn't function or speak right. I again attempted to have more than just a transaction and tried reassuring her she was doing great. After checking out and paying, she crinkled up my receipt and sarcastically grinned as I took it upon myself to tell her to have a good day where I was just grinned at with no real smile or verbal response. The food was great because that is something that is hard to mess up and something I imagine a trained employee could do in their sleep. I feel customer service is pretty simple as well, even if you don't feel like being at work. Your paycheck is based on a job description (especially as a possible manager) that I'm sure includes basic customer service as a requirement, which I don't feel takes talent or skills necessary to accomplish. My visit left me a little boggled and I hope this employee feels better soon so no one else experiences feeling the lack of basic human interaction. Not going back.

Food is always great, but there is a blonde worker with curly hair who deserves nothing in life…read more She always has a terrible look on her ugly face. She is rude to customers and other workers, one was almost in tears when I asked for my pick up order. She needs to seek help to not be an abrupt bitch and learn what good customer service is. Everyone has problems in life but taking them out on innocent customers is not only childish but wrong.
