I may have said this out loud and I think one of the people working felt bad for us, so she produced a box of gorgeous donuts and let us know that someone hadn't picked up their order and we could choose from this box if we liked. They were a little too big for me and kind of greasy to be perfectly honest, but they were also so soft and fluffy, with a crisp exterior.
