However, taste-wise, the flavor and texture didn't quite match the amazing visual appeal. They weren't bad, but given how incredible they look, I was hoping for a bit richer flavor. Overall, a great spot for the ambiance and friendliness, and I hope the flavors are elevated to match the gorgeous presentation!"

The lady at the counter was really helpful with describing the different cupcakes and what was in them. I tried the chocolate chip cookie dough cupcake, which was absolutely amazing. There was chocolate chips inside the yellow cake and had a really delicious buttercream on top. There was also actual cookie dough on the top and inside the buttercream. We really enjoyed it! 9/10 rating for me. The second cupcake we tried my fiancé really loved the most which was cherry cheesecake. There was cherries inside the cake, and that was also delicious. 8.5/10 Both cupcakes came out to be a little over eight dollars total, but they run different specials every day and they also sell many other bakery items that looked amazing.

However, Papa Chocolate is definitely one of them. It's a super unique sweets and dessert shop that has items I haven't seen anywhere else. First, the sweets and drinks were amazing. When I was there I tried the chocolate chip cookie (a warm skillet cookie with ice cream), lokma (think donut holes with filling), mix berries mojito (non alcoholic), triple waffle and sushi crepe (a Nutella crepe cut up like pieces of sushi. I enjoyed everything, but the lokma was my favorite. I've never seen this before. They are donut holes that they fill with pistachio cream, Nutella, Biscoff cream or white chocolate. It's so cool that fry them and fill them when you order it. I also liked the mix berries mojito very much. It's a cool and refreshing drink that's perfect for the summer. Second, the service is excellent. The staff is very nice and passionate about the desserts they make. And everything that I had was made to order and was super fresh. Third, the ambiance is that of a small restaurant. There are maybe six or seven large table in the small location. I stayed and ate a good portion of food at the restaurant, and it's certainly large enough if you want to gather with friends. However, I did notice that most people took their orders to go. I sum, this is a must visit sweets and dessert shop. It's worth the drive from Chicago.

Every time I walk in I feel welcomed and taken care of which makes such a difference. The staff is always so friendly and attentive and you can tell they genuinely care about the experience you are having. I usually switch between the biscuits and gravy or a waffle with strawberries and both are consistently so good. The biscuits and gravy are comforting and filling and the waffle with strawberries is the perfect balance when I want something a little sweeter. The food always comes out quickly and you can tell they keep things consistent which I really appreciate. It is also a great place for families which makes it even better. It is very kid friendly and has a comfortable easygoing atmosphere that works for everyone. On top of that there is plenty of parking which just makes the whole experience even more convenient. Overall I have never had a bad experience here and it is one of those places I find myself coming back to again and again. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a reliable spot with great food and even better service.

We saw this place from a distance and decided to check it out. This place reminds of Europe with the smell of bread hitting you, as you open up the door. I immediately went to the Danish, as I notice they weren't all doughy like American pastries. These things were made with love and perfection. I had a raspberry Danish as the wife had a cheese one with a coffee. These Danishes were light and flacky and taste was to savor. I took that first bite and knew I was in trouble. My wife looked at me and said. Yummy ! I saw then at that moment. I had a excuse to buy four more. This is an old school Bakery with exceptional customer service and all the ladies are polite and courteous. What makes this place special is its quality and natural ingredients. They're some good bakeries around but this one is by far the best. Exceptional Quality !
