We were a party of six dining at Babe's for the first time. Chuck was our waiter. Outstanding!…read more Everything was outstanding! There were lots of choices on the menu and Chuck guided us through our choices and was so helpful. Cocktails were exceptional. The charcuterie board we had to start our dinner was wonderful. It was so fresh and the cheese, meats, honey, etc. were so tasty. It was a nice large board of yummy food. Wings were very good with their sauces. We all had various steaks with some of us adding a crabcake to the plate. The steaks were cooked perfectly and all of them arrived at the same time! Crabcakes were as good as the steaks. Most of us had the glazed carrots and Boursin mashed potatoes as our sides. They were so delicious and freshly prepared. Compliments to the chef! Best carrots and mashed potatoes I have ever had. It was really upscale eating in a cozy, comfy environment that wasn't pretentious. Our waiter refreshed our water and delivered second drinks quickly. Chuck was humorous and very knowledgeable and attentive. Most of us have leftovers to enjoy. We were so full that we had one dessert to share. Lava cake with ice cream, and it was vanilla with caramel which was so delicious and different. The manager came upstairs to make sure everything was ok and chatted about the place and answered questions we had about where the fresh food was sourced. This was a really excellent Farm to Table dining experience that delivered in every way. We all can't wait to come back to try other menu items! BRAVO! With my job, I eat out quite a bit so it takes a little more to impress me. First, the staff was great! The owner even came around to make sure all was good. Everything is local bought, and top quality produce and meat is selected. The Salmon/Brisket combo that I ordered was beyond good! If you are within an hour drive from Palmyra, you need to try this place. Not really for families with young children, but it would make a wonderful date night. (or apology meal. LOL) I will be going back here for sure. Especially this summer when the outdoor seating is open.

This is a review for their outlet location located a few blocks down from the smokehouse itself…read more The outlet is located at 209 N. Railroad Street, Palmyra, PA 17078. Being from Central PA, my husband and I grew up on bologna sandwiches. When we learned we are just a 30 min drive from the outlet, we jumped in the car and drove right there! It's easy to miss as the storefront blends in with the neighbor hood. Just look for that familiar Seltzer's face logo and you'll find it! There was a fundraiser going on with a local radio station and grilled bologna sandwiches for sale outside. We enjoyed a sandwich then went in to an old timey style mom and pop shop full of t-shirt and other apparel, cups, souvenirs, and every style of bologna you could imagine for sale. They've expanded their flavors to 5 now, not just original and sweet. There's Chipotle, Double Sweet smoked, and a honey smoked flavor with free samples to try! They offer bologna bites, unique bologna jerky, bulk items and discounted misshaped slices. One of my favorites is the Dutch grillers, thick cut slices perfect for grilling and their "smoked coffee" has such a unique smoky taste I love. (No it doesn't taste like bologna but has a nice smoky aroma) They also partner and stock products from local small business which I appreciate. Every time you go in you find something new! There's also a mini museum of how they got started, their impact on PA government and history. A copy of their episode of dirty jobs plays in the background and gives a look into how the sausage is made so to speak. Overall a great place to stop if you're in the Hershey/Lebanon area, want to sample some local culture and cuisine and learn about the central PA area.

When you walk inside you're are greeted by the lovely staff who tell you where the menus are, and inform you of their specials (I forgot to include a picture of their food menu). There is a lot of space to eat inside the cafe and the seating is very comfortable. Music plays in the background, but it's nice and not too loud. Initially we ordered a couple of lattes, I got the pumpkin spice latte and my partner got the smores. I think the pumpkin spice heavy on the pumpkin and didn't have as much spice to it. The smores latte reminded me of a mocha latte, but we enjoyed it nonetheless. As for the food, it was good! I got a breakfast sandwich on an English muffin, and the bacon was perfectly crispy. The only thing I wish was different was the seasoning of the sandwich; it was plain in terms of seasoning. I think it could have benefitted from a spicy mayo or spicy seasoning on the bacon. They did provide salt and pepper which I used and it helped. My partner got the waffles with strawberries and Nutella which was bomb; the waffle was cooked perfect and the ratios of strawberries and Nutella were good. While eating, staff checked on us multiple times to see how we were doing and if we needed anything else. Overall, I loved the ambiance, attentive service, quick service (minimal wait time), and that this was a locally owned business. I highly recommend coming by to check the place out!
