The store is brightly lit, has lots of stuff to look at and see while you wait and plays a good variety of music. The collection of ducks is witty strewn about the counters. Coffee hit the spot. Similar to a chain cookie place down the road, they ask how your order looks before boxing up for take out orders. Husband had his blueberry pancake donut while it was warm. He said he would be back and enjoyed the maple flavoring and warm crunch of the outside of the donut. I waited a few hours to have mine. I ordered the vanilla confetti. The individual behind the counter who was prepping our food, was so friendly, and told us she informed her boss and he was ready for us to pick up the next day. Our Bruegger's Bagels order was delicious. Made fresh and daily, truly a wonderful experience for the waiting and asking any questions and comments. They were accomodating with the order even though we felt this could be last minute and wasn't sure if they would be available. The other individual behind the cashier. She then proceeded to accuse me of "being sneaky" and "trying to get more with my money" when I asked her why my cup was only 3/4 full. She told me I "thought I was being slick" because I wanted less ice in my order. We only stopped here as a rest stop from a long drive but this store ruined our night and gave us the worst impression of Connecticut.
