I went to make a u turn in their parking to try another place for dinner and spotted this. Never noticed it before but walked in and it was beautifully set up and spacious. They had a combination of tables and chairs or colorful loveseats and table. They were very friendly and hospitable and the food was fresh. They took their time with it but I am fine with that because I'm not a fan of reheated/ microwavable food, I like the real deal. The food was delicious !!! Especially the lamb chops and the butter & garlic nann bread . I plan on returning to try something else soon and I recommend this place! March 1st they will have their liquor license for a bar and they will start their buffet at that time as well. Please try this place despite what I say. TLDR: food needs improvement but I have hope. Went to here before the official limited opening. They had a limited menu. We got chicken Qorma and the channa (unlisted) with two naans, since they didn't have the chipati yet. Took a looong time. Like 30 minutes. No clue why. The food didn't seem old, but it didn't seem to be really fresh. At least, the chicken was a bit dry which is weird for made-fresh. The channa was great. A mild broth base with a very spicy oil. There wasn't much, but what was there was good. The naan were huge. We only ate one out of two. Great. Then I go a second time. I was told 20min. I got there 10 min late. The food wasn't ready. I had to wait 5 more mins for naan. Annoying, but fine. I got the mutton karahi and channa again, one naan. It turned out to be $30!!! WHAT! Okay, the mutton was $20 on its own. No rice or veggies, just mutton. Fine, maybe it's a lot? Nope. The serving was mostly sauce, and the meat that came wasn't worth $20. The taste was good, but the butter or whatever fat used was sooo heavy it became inedible. You are better off going to Coromandel down the road for lamb, and that's crazy to say considering the prices there. The chickpeas? Just as inedible. Soo much butter/fat. The chickpeas I really enjoyed last time were gone. The seasoning and layout was different. More beans than last time, but I couldn't eat this. The naan was at least 1/3 smaller than last time. The food was all around worse and more expensive the second go. This restaurant is barely a week old. I hope they grow. It's a nice place. I think family or friends of the owners come in to chill, so there's usually life here. But yeah, they might need to adjust prices and recipes. And they definitely need to add channa and other vegetarian options. All indian places have that. The food seasoning is pretty different between the countries, but having a vegetarian options is always going to be more appealing to groups who have people like that. read more

The restaurant just did their soft opening a few days ago so we kept that in mind during our experience. They were upfront in indicating that they are working the quirks out and wait times are a little longer so we were mentally prepared for that and hope that will improve once they have gotten up to speed. For the place set up think of this as a "Dhaba" style food place with lots of fun, color and vibrance around. Now for the food experience. We were an 8 person group and absolutely loved it. Currently only main courses are being served but they did make us chicken corn soup which was very authentic to the taste of desi Chinese. So thumbs up for that. The only time we've gotten that taste has been in NYC if at all. For main courses we ordered chicken karhai, mutton karhai, chicken seekh Kababs, Lahore charga, murg chole, goat pulao, naans and tandoori roti. We took a few pics and I'll let the pics speak for themselves. Too bad we didn't take pics of the charga and the Kababs but next time. But all of it was worth the wait. We finished everything. Maybe a few dishes needed a few tweaks but we thoroughly enjoyed the flavor. We are all pretty picky about flavor of food and were not disappointed at all. Bottom line we are really excited about having this new food place with such authentic flavors. We are hoping that they will get their bearings soon and will work out all the quirks to go to a full opening. We spoke about the lack of vegetarian dishes and they are in the process of adding vegetarian dishes of the day and selection of daals which will be amazing. It's family run and we actually liked the casualness of the environment. Some of the best food we've had around the world have been in small family restaurants. So if you decide to dine here, we hope you can get past the wait and have a great of a time as we did. read more

I wanted to give this new indian/Pakistani restaurant a try. However, all I got was disappointment. Let's start with the food..I ordered chicken botis/ kebabs and never in my life I have had such dried pieces of meat. (Mind it I am Indian and I cook a lot and have experienced indian cuisines in india and other places). I also ordered indo chinese pepper chicken and again the same issue the chicken was too dried felt like that it was boiled first and then tossed in the sauce which has no oomph or flavor to it. Similar issue with the kadai chicken which is a full entire and the quantity was less than my 10 year old can eat in one sitting. I was told it was good for two adults. So overall, I will give it a negative star for tastes effort quality and quantity. Please don't waste your money and if you really want a good indian food try star of india down the road. read more

The decorations are very nice as soon as you walk in. The staff is friendly and recommend dishes if you are lost. The food does take a while to come out, but it is worth the wait! I haven't had food like this at any restaurant in CT. Very fresh and tasty. Definitely recommend! Try the haleem. read more

The food at this place is absolutely delicious! The service is also absolutely phenomenal! As a family, we have many different allergies that require many adjustments to cuisine, and they were more than willing to cater to our crazy needs. The food is clearly very clean as my Crohn's did not flare up like it does in most restaurants. The place is also very beautifully decorated in a truly unique way as can be seen by the photos. The restaurant is also extremely clean and the seats extremely comfortable and spacious. read more
