I was happily greeted by Vane who took my order as my colleagues were yelling at each other at the community table. I went back to get a Philadelphia mug 'Been Series' for my collection and a couple who are regulars came in. Vane did not miss a beat. She put my mug aside which I saw, and took care of the regular customers. It was so classy and the right thing to do. She could have easily told them that she was assisting me but she absolutely did the right thing by getting their order. I haven't spent a lot of time in Philly, but Philly fans are passionate about their Eagles and their Phillies. It's been great this week to see the enthusiasm for their teams in their respected leagues. My Venti Latte Quad Shot with Almond Milk was perfect and my colleague had a Pike Peak and my other colleague had a blonde with three sugars. He is there most mornings. Every time i order, he tries to up-sell. Although I understand why businesses do this, i also understand the concept of buying more usually means a lower per-unit cost. So, if i want more i will ask for more and take advantage of the lower per-unit cost. However, this guys doesn't just suggest you buy more he insists upon it and wont take no for an answer. He pushes saying.. "you buy one more.. cheaper". I say, "i don't need more, just give me what i ordered please" because overall, buying more than I need costs me more. As mentioned above, the per-unit cost is just lower. He then continues to insist util i need to demand that he just give me what i ordered. Here's a tip for you Dunkin' Donuts at 3001 West Germantown Pike, try and be curious and respectful to your customers. Because without us, you are out of business! I will now go out of my way to another Dunkin' Donuts to avoid this guy and his agressive "greedy" selling tactics.
