We came for some childhood nostalgia (Halloween season of the monster mash sundae), but left feeling a little sad. Friendly's is definitely not as good as we remember, with portions being tiny and the food on the cooler side. Granted, our server did their best, as it was a little busy and there were only two servers I noticed on the clock. Was it worth driving over an hour away just for the food? No. Was it worth it to relive a little bit of the past with a few good friends? Yes. Would I come back? Not unless I was already in the area for some reason. read more

As comfort food for the last night in the area, I decided to try the Cheese Skirt Burger which had a hilariously large amount of cheese! We had a wonderful visit. The staff was so helpful when trying to find us a table. The dining room is a tad small . I have been going to this location since I was a teen. Our waitress was so kind and upbeat. Our food came out piping hot. I always stick to my regular, grilled cheese sandwich, fries, chicken noodle soup and a large... yes large Reese's Pieces Sundae! Their peanut butter sauce and hot fudge is so good. I wish they would bottle that up and sell it. Not sure if it is theirs or a different brand. Gotten takeout from here twice before and each time has been excellent. Their A1 Steak Burger is fantastic, I highly recommend it. Went there for in-person dining a few weeks ago, and it was just OK but our waitress was not super attentive. It may have been the luck of the draw though, as I saw other waitresses who were extremely sociable and friendly also working that day. I got the chicken quesadilla and a side salad--quesadilla was a little underwhelming and pretty small. I think from now on, I'll stick to their burgers and ice cream. My parents love coming here because of their senior deal. A meal with free ice cream at the end makes them happy! I am not a huge fan, but I could never say no, because my daughter was with me too. The place was very busy when we went in. It took a couple minutes to get seated, but the staff were very friendly and super helpful! I feel like the downside to this place is that it can get very dirty and their bathrooms are awful. BUT I don't think that the staffs fault, because there are a tons of kids, seniors, and careless people not picking up after themselves. The staff are always friendly and provide great customer service, so I can deal with the messes and bathroom to allow my parents enjoy their senior deal. read more

Service staff there is incompotent. We got up and walked out of the restaurant. Why? 12 minutes after being seated and watching everyone else that was seated in our section after us in our section be served drinks and have their food orders taken while my gf & I were sitting there unattended to. I went up to the kitchen and asked another server if we were going to be helped and she looked up from texting, saw where I was pointing, & she said "he is over there for your table now." I looked over and saw the server walk right pass my table and ask the table caddy corner across from us if they were "ok?" I said, "bullshit," he didn't give my table a second glance. So I walked over to him and asked if he was planning on waiting on us at some point and he said when he gets a sec. That was the last straw. I expect exceptionally bad service at Friendly's and know that going into it but even bad service is still service. read more

Amanda was our waitress during our visit and she was awesome. The food was quickly served and tasted great. It wasn't very busy when we went so the seating was fine.
