I got 4 donuts for $8, that's AMAZING (you can't get that at Hyvee) The flavors are soooo that of an old school donut shop, and taste SO much better than grocery store donuts. Where they really shine for me is their donut cakes. I've ordered two donut cakes from Randy's, most recently a retirement-themed donut cake, and both were a huge hit with the crowd. They're fun, impressive, and make a great centerpiece for celebrations. That said, I've consistently had issues with the ordering process. Both times I ordered via email, the order was either lost or never fully confirmed. The first time I followed up well in advance, but the second time was more stressful--when I arrived at 6 a.m. to pick up the cake, it wasn't there. To their credit, the staff handled it well. They quickly made a replacement cake for the next day and offered it at half price. They also gave me free rolls the day of, which was a kind gesture, though I would have preferred having the cake as originally planned. In the end, everything worked out, but my biggest suggestion is to double or even triple-check event orders to avoid any last-minute surprises. The product itself is solid and always a hit--just be sure to confirm, confirm, confirm.

Now, at this point it's rare to have a donut as good as it was 5 years ago. They still make a tasty donut, just not the exceptional donuts that they used to be. The raised glazed unfortunately went from being the best in town to being the worst - even the grocery store raised glazed are better now. LaMar's raised glazed are under-proofed, and undercooked. COFFEE: If you're someone who takes your coffee seriously, don't buy it - it's outright bad.
