We chose this spot simply because we passed it several times during our vacation, as it sits right off Route 30. I headed inside while my family stayed in the car. Although I knew the building was fairly large, I was not expecting just how many tables and seats were available. From that standpoint, it felt much more like a sit down restaurant than the coffee shop I was anticipating. That said, they did have a designated area for ordering to go, which is where I headed. After looking over their winter specials, I tried to order something with peppermint for my wife. Unfortunately, they were out of peppermint syrup, which was also what I would have ordered for myself. I ended up getting my wife an iced mocha while I went with a hot coconut latte. My coffee ended up being decent. The coconut syrup was easy to taste, but it did not overpower the coffee itself. My wife's drink looked good with whipped cream and crushed peppermint on top, as they still had that available, but she was unable to drink it due to a stomach bug. The bottom line for me is that I might head back here again in the future. While I do not know that I would go out of my way just for coffee, it seemed like a nice place for a sit down meal.

I was deciding between a salted Caramel latte or iced shaken espresso and the sweet girl at the drive through gave me the best of both worlds - caramel iced shaken espresso! It was the best thing I've ever tasted - it was so delicious, had the amazing coffee smell and the Expresso was bomb. My husband also really enjoyed his Americano. This is my kids favorite spot to get donuts in Lancaster and clearly I wasn't getting out of this trip without finding a donut alternative. Duck Donuts it would be! The space inside is very small. There are only a few tables and many of them covered in crumbs. They have a few tables out front but it isn't covered and we were there on a very hot day. Service wasn't exactly friendly. But I eventually got a smile since after having our first half dozen, I was back ordering more! The second time was the charm to get some charm back. Our favorite were the cinnamon sugar donuts, or as my son called them, "the messy ones!" They donuts are cooked fresh and come out hot. I'm telling you, they were fantastic. The glazed ones were also good but a little too sweet and messy for my taste since they were served hot with glazed melting off. The same with the iced donuts since they are hot. We liked the duck theme. They also sell little rubber ducks, which of course are strategically right next to the counter and every child can't resist. We visited on Father's Day and loved the touch of offering coloring sheets for the special day with crayons. That made me so happy and the kids loved coloring them.

The decor is very nice and has a New York feel--which I can appreciate, being a New Yorker straight out of Manhattan--but the rest was a letdown. When I finally ordered, I found out they don't have espresso or coffee made fresh from a machine; it's just pre-made regular coffee from a dispenser. I asked for a light roast, but it looked and tasted like a dark roast. The bagel did make up for the poor customer service and disappointing coffee, but the name "Wired Cup" is incredibly misleading. I didn't get "wired" at all. Furthermore, the cup itself was so cheap and delicate that it literally crushed in my hand while I was in the office making calls, spilling coffee all over the floor. I do not recommend this place. The coffee isn't fresh, the cups are flimsy, and the service is slow. I'm giving it two stars--the only things that saved it from a one-star rating were the bagel and the Frank Sinatra playing on the radio.
