It was suggest by a friend but I had never been. The experience was wonderful! The entire staff was attentive to our party and there were other large parties there. I had the salmon salad and 2 espresso martinis, both were delicious. The food was so good we all sampled each others' - apple French toast, chicken biscuit with cheese grits, fries and the grilled PB&J. I should have ordered one of those to go. The coffee bar is quite large on the inside with two sides and a nice size bar. Matt, the owner, communicated with my friends to make sure everything para perfect for the shower. We got to meet his mom who was lovely as well. Tiny's is clearly a gathering spot for the community. It's worth the trip to Gary.

We got in the door in a rainstorm and right after us they locked up the store (but continued to let in others who arrived in peril). The power had not yet gone out but would shortly. Staff could not use the register or serve Starbucks products, but they made sure everyone who wanted it had ice water. The power went out and a tornado definitely ran right by us when we were all huddled inside, many in the bathrooms but most clustered in the back to avoid windows. Some people were ducking out to take videos and brought them back to us in the bathrooms - yikes. Definitely a tornado, and thankfully no one was hurt. I have to say I can't think of a better group of people to go through that with - both fellow customers and staff. The manager was at the top of her game, very efficient and kind. All employees were checking on everyone and had to quiet a few panic attacks which they did quite well. We actually stayed longer than we needed to because talking to the staff was so much fun. The area was completely devastated by the storm, we discovered. This was on August 11, 2026, and we made sure to stop by and check on everyone when we came back the other way on August 15. Unfortunately the entire area was still without power and there was a lot of brush and debris still. Will definitely make this a regular stop whenever we're on 94!
