Stood at the counter unacknowledged and left empty-handed while the employees only helped drive thru orders.

Anytime I've visited the selection is pretty slim. Took well over 10 minutes for an iced coffee when I ordered inside.

This store needs to get it's act together. Wait times are ridiculous. District needs to come straighten them out or they should close.

Luke’s Dixie Donuts & Fried Chicken - Good Morning

Luke’s Dixie Donuts & Fried Chicken

While having the glazed red velvet donut which was absolutely delicious, I noticed they also had a fried chicken sandwich which sounded interesting. They have 3 options, Luke's Chicken, Buffalo & Custom. I had Luke's which was the biggest, tastiest and best friend sandwich I can remember. Much better than the more famous fast food chicken stores. They also offer very crispy and crunchy Tater tots. And a huge portion . While it's a fairly long drive from the other side of Jupiter, I will become a regular. I would also be remiss if I didn't mention Dave . We thought he was the manger or owner as he was so knowledgeable and sincerely interested in customer satisfaction. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't become a manager there. He deserves to be promoted. I highly recommend both the donuts and the fried CHICKEN. You will delighted . You GOTTA try both. I may go back tonight ....

We were visiting friends in the area & stopped in to get some treats to bring with us…read more They have a parking lot with plenty of spots. Upon walking in we noticed a variety of flavors we never knew existed. The gentleman who helped us actually nice & helped us decide what flavors were good to bring. The inside ambiance is like that of a home style bakery with their wooden racks & handmade signs. Not like that huge chain with the cold metal racks & not so happy staff. You know the one that actually used to make donuts & not just coffee($$) Not only did we get donuts for our friends but like good friends we also picked some out to try on the spot. Just to be sure we know what we were bringing wink wink they were yummy We tried their ginormous Blueberry fritter. (That fritter was no joke It was huge & heavy too) we tried the glazed raspberry & the Chocolate glazed donut They have recently started to make fried chicken too. They offered us a sample and it was crispy & moist inside. When in this area we will return & try more flavors & give an order of the chicken a try.

**INITIAL REVIEW** I…read morewill be honest and say that I only learned about Dixe Cream Donuts, which I will shorthand simply to "Dixie Cream" for the remainder of this review, through the app, Too Good to Go. It is the same app I used to find Luke's Dixie Donuts in Jupiter, FL. Ergo, my firsrt order with them was a Too Good to Go order in which they gave me a mix box of donuts, their choice. Since then, I ordered more Too Good to Go orders for my work, and even got a couple of their donuts for myself. In short, I enjoyed Dixie Cream and their selection for what they have. And though they are not as good as, let's say, Voodoo in Universal Orlando or Luke's Dixie Donuts, they are definitely better than the majority of donut shops out there, especially compared to many national chains (Dunkin' Donuts, Krispy Kreme, etc.). Though an address is provided, Dixie Dream is located on the south end of a strip mall that also has Family Discount Grocery, on the west side of SW Bayshore Blvd. For some reason, I can't seem to find the name of the actual strip mall. For starters, Dixie Cream is not a place where you go to enjoy your donut at the table. It is definitely either a grab & go place or an order & go place. There are no tables inside, and the parking situation is so limited, I don't think many could thoroughly enjoy a sitdown in the place. Besides that, the ambiance is lacking as they weren't going for a palce in which the ambiance is the centerpoint of seeing them. They are, nevertheless, clean and organized and that is what matters for such a place and how they have set things up. Despite that, it is the donuts that are the real winner. They have a common selection of the basics that every donut shop has, but their specialty donuts are where they shine. The ones based on cookies definitely get my attention include the Oreo, Chips Ahoy, and Samoa (Girl Scout Cookie). And if that doesn't hook you in, the fact the donuts "melt in your mouth" is a unique trait that makes them stand out. Now here is the criticism of the "melt in your mouth" angle. I am unsure what fat base they use either lard, butter, or whatever, but there is a slight "taste" of it when the donuts are fresh out of baking. Kind of "unique" to say this but the donuts taste better when cooled for me. Don't get me wrong for Dixie Cream is still good, but just a little detail I noticed pertaining to my experience. Ultimately, I will give this locaiton a four-out-of-five star rating for their speed, their collaboration with Too Good to Go, and the deliciousness of their donuts, more so when cooled for me. I will return more times, and if they are consistent, I will grant them their fifth star for consistency in an updated review.

Jupiter Donuts - $22.00 for a dozen yummy donuts, but so worth it!

I've been told about Jupiter Donuts ever since I moved to the Stuart, FL area. Warned I would have…read moreto get there early, (before 8 am) or they'd be sold out, with high expectations, I decided to take the plunge. And so, I set my alarm to begin my donut mission. At 6:30 am I showed up at the door of Jupiter Donuts awaiting my pot of gold. Or in this case my donut nirvana! I'll be the first to admit, I'm not looking for what some consider the ideal donut. You know the ones that have a multitude of weird toppings. I'm driven more by the texture and taste of the cake. Thin airy Boston creams with little filling, glazed donuts that are too sweet and have no substance are all too commonplace for my liking. Having said all that, you won't find any of that at Jupiter Donuts. However, in order to be the "best", it has to stand out from all others and this is where Jupiter Donuts doesn't quite make the grade. I mixed up my choices to assure a good representation choosing a frosted chocolate cake, a Boston cream, a chocolate frosted glazed and a sour cream. I guess because of all the advance kudos, my expectations were probably not realistic. And perhaps no place could live up to the high praise and subsequent anticipation I had. Unfortunately, although their donuts were good, I most assuredly wouldn't get up at 6am or wait in line for one. On an individual note, the best was the Boston cream with plenty of filling and a firm (not airy) cake. I'd have to say, I enjoyed this donut the most. I'd give it a 9 on a scale of 1 to 10. My favorite donut is usually a frosted chocolate cake. Jupiters was good but definitely not the best I've had. Score it a 7. The sour cream as well as the chocolate frosted were average at best with both coming in at a 6. All were good but none were great. I must admit, I'm spoiled by the fresh-from-the-oven old fashioned donuts I enjoyed as a child at a place called Tices Farm. The smell and taste of those donuts still resonates with me after all these years. Perhaps those memories assure no donut place will ever live up to my initial donut experience. But my search will go one for that one donut in a million.

Naturally, we had to grab a dozen when we back earlier this year, and their donuts were just as good as we remembered! (And have left me pretty spoiled; I haven't found a donut in the Midwest I like even half as much.) Whether you want something simple or fancy, Jupiter has a donut for you! My most favorite is the red velvet (as a red velvet purist, their donut tastes like the real deal--it's NOT just chocolate with red food coloring). Their old-fashioned donuts come in second for me, while my kids are obsessed with their apple fritters (which are delicious, but HUGE!). I highly recommend grabbing a box for your next morning beach trip (though if you're a coffee snob like me, you may want to grab one somewhere else; their coffee is just okay).

The cappuccinos were surprisingly good, though I was hoping they'd be served in real porcelain cups instead of the standard paper ones--it would have matched the ambiance better. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the setting. The breakfast sandwiches and donuts tasted dry and stale, with little flavor or authenticity. The bacon, egg, and cheese croissant in particular was disappointingly bland--more like flour-dusted cardboard than a fresh, flaky breakfast sandwich. Maybe we just caught them on an off day, but overall, the atmosphere outshone the food by far. All pictures were borrowed from the website.
