My sister-in-law knew about this place and it was on her to-do list for the trip. All the donuts hit the ball out of the park in 3 ways: great names to embody many innovative varieties; visually colorful and stunning, like designed for an over-the-top cartoon; and taste great! (Admittedly, I didn't taste every one, but just what my sister-in-law and I had.) Their "Mangue Pas Ça" (translating to not that mango) had a Mango glaze and was seasoned with sweet peppers, lime and sea salt! One variety resembled Key Lime Pie, another Watermelon, another Crème Brûlée, and the Caramel Instagraham.. well even had a Biscoff cookie perched on top. You'll also find they make "D'oh Nut" Donut a la The Simpsons! La Beignerie's selection includes several of their own ice cream choices that were equally appealing... but let's stick to the donuts. For anyone who likes something sweet, it would be hard to not find a La Beignerie donut option that would be mouthwatering! Being a fan of the tea, I chose their Earl Grey flavored Phileas Fog, with its Cream (vegan of course) filled center. Awesome! My sister-in-law chose Crème St-Denis, basically their Boston Creme. Yummy! Of course getting in on the (you can quote me on this trend) "Pistachio is the New Hazelnut" explosion, La Beignerie also makes a Chocolat Dubaï version! Their Blueberry Cruller also looked enticing. Btw, noted online that you can also order donuts with a colored filling to help with a gender reveal party. The staff was super friendly. La Beignerie's storefront is tight for space, but they had a little covered seating out front. Drank a coffee there as well, but just ok. That being said, stick to them donuts!!! La Beignerie's donuts... Oui, Oui!!!

They have the best flavor and are not heavy or overly sweet, which is the best thing about them. Same with the ice cream! Their label is so cute too. Great for photo ops!

I am admittedly not the biggest donut fan, but my husband & son are. We met a local family who said…read morewe "HAD" to try these donuts, so we made our way over. We originally planned to get 2 donuts, then we walked in and saw the selection - and decided to get 6 donuts (why? We did not need 6 donuts - especially ones this large. But yet....). Then the super nice guy working the register gave us 2 for free because it was our first time!!! There goes my waistline because these are donuts I DO like. Some are way too sweet for me, and we unfortunately got 2 glazed instead of 1 glazed and 1 original, but even I couldn't stop taking bites. If you like donuts, it's absolutely worth the trek to get them. They're closed Mondays & Tuesdays, so plan ahead.

A true gem in Montreal. Our guide brought us by this place on a bike tour of the city and what a treat! If you have the time, it's definitely worth a stop, if for nothing else to see the dripping glaze on the donuts. FOOD: Great selection of donuts - primarily yeast. Glazed donuts with great toppings or even plain. We tried the Brownie donut, the Lemon donut, and the Maple Bacon donut. All were good. Really good. SERVICE: People here were so nice and the portions are HUGE. Easy to get to go or eat right there outside the shop. Not any place to really sit, but you don't want it dripping on you anyway. COST: Very reasonable for what you get. Truly worth it.

We stopped in on a Saturday and it was definitely busy lots of people studying, chatting, and enjoying donuts, which honestly just adds to the vibe. We were picking up a box for a friend's event, and of course I couldn't resist grabbing a few for myself too. The space is still just as cozy and charming. I love the mismatched furniture it gives the café such an authentic, relaxed, slightly hipster feel, like you could sit there for hours. It was also decorated really sweetly for Christmas, which made it feel extra warm and inviting. As for the donuts... there's so much variety. We tried a mix of flavors including passion fruit, Boston cream, cheesecake, tiramisu, framboise, and a caramel butter one all fresh, soft, and generously filled. It's honestly hard to choose because everything looks good. Pricing is also great for sharing or events: * 6 donuts for $20 * 12 donuts for $36 Perfect for bringing to a gathering or treating yourself to a little variety. Still a great spot years later cozy atmosphere, fun flavors, and a place that feels just as welcoming whether you're grabbing a box to go or staying awhile.

We finally made it to the actual bakery!! The donut display…read morewas mouth-watering - the pastries were huge, with chunky, fancy toppings. We decided to go for a box of 6 despite the girl's warning that the donuts are best eaten on the day of purchase. We got the Boston, the Cheese-cake, the Boston Pistachio Cherry, the Bourbon Bacon, Chocolate and the Apple and Spices, along with a chocolate chip cookie. We sat on the bench right outside to taste them. That's when I realized it would probably be better to come earlier in the day, as the donuts were getting a tad dry. The ones that had less icing (Cheese-cake, Chocolate, Boston Pistachio Cherry) had lost some moisture and were very doughy. But the Apple and Spices, which was fully glazed, retained its wonderful consistency. The Bourbon Bacon was more bacon than bourbon, but overall flavor was quite nice. The Boston was a bit underfilled (there was an empty pocket), but the custard itself was very good. The chocolate chip cookie was ok. I appreciated that the donuts were not overly sweet. However, given the thickness of the donuts, some of them (e.g. Cheese-cake, Chocolate) could have benefited from a bit more icing).

Most flavours are topped with oats, which distracts from both the intended taste and texture but the base flavours are pretty decent. Unfortunately however, the prominent taste to all the ones we tried is the same : Bread. Not fried dough. Just bread. And they don't come cheap at 20$ for a box of 6 and 39$ for 12. (that 1$ savings makes a difference). Furthermore we ate most of them the same day but possibly due to the high density, they tasted stale. Either they are not made the same day as advertised or their freshness fades very quickly. We figure there's a good reason for the suggestion on the box to warm up before eating... And lastly, we ordered in advance to ensure (we were told) that we would get the flavours we wanted and for some reason they still did not have the keylime pie donut and took it upon themselves to replace it with a second Boston cream. They also replaced the unavailable previous monthly donut with the new one ( we ordered September 30 and picked up October 1st - makes sense) without asking us what we would like to replace it with or if we had allergies (which we do), or if we just plain don't like Pumpkin Chaï (which we don't). Speaking of allergies - make sure to ask beforehand as there are no details about ingredients on the website. We would've liked to give @cremy.patisserie the benefit of the doubt for this misunderstanding especially since they are so highly rated but we did not receive a call back for explanation as requested.
