They can come off a bit standoffish at first but nothing could be further from the truth. Rob spoke to all 4 people ahead of me and even knew some of them by name and things going on in their lives. On this visit I had a cup of Chicken Gumbo and a Turkey Sandwich. The Gumbo was full of sausage and veggies and had a nice flavour to it. The sandwiches however really are the star of the show here as Chuck pointed out. The bread was so fresh it was still warm. And the turkey piled about 3 inches thick. I opted to add cheddar cheese for the bargain price of $0.50 bringing the price to $6 for the soup and sandwich. An unbelievable bargain! Not only would I recommend Riley's bakery but would consider it a necessary stop if you visit Cornwall. You won't be disappointed.

When we reached out to discuss this with the shop, they were reticent to accept responsibility before ultimately offering us 25% off toward our next purchase at Fairy Sweet. As you as you walk in, they acknowledge you and ask if they can help you find anything. I know this is a typical practice but they actually seem more sincere. The establishment is clean and easy to walk through, even with all of the items you want to look at. The cost of the fruit cake/cherry cake is worth it as many of the ones you get at the grocery store are the same price but not exactly the same quality. They even have an option that is more round and looks like an actual cake- that was very tempting too. Hopefully we can stop by again during another visit to Huntingdon.

Their cake is so moist that it cannot be sliced properly. It reminds me very much of a well known "unbaked" cake made in USA. To me, not worth the premium price.
