Corrected caramel craze iced coffee..take 2
    Peggy W.

I done a mobile order of this caramel craze drink I always order, grabbed it and left and we were down from time to get gas...I took a big swig and it was gross, it was unsweet coffee with milk in it. No caramel no sweet anything lol. I had hubs take me back. I got the manager this time and told her it was unsweetened iced coffee and had no caramel at all in it. She was kind enough to remake a correct one and they have been redeemed! I will go back there when in the area!

New location in front of the Home Depot and left to Marco's Pizza.

They are open. Grand opening this past week! This might not be big for most people, but people traveling through Scotsboro, AL every morning will appreciate an added breakfast stop and coffee option!

Visited for lunch on Thursday and was unfortunately sorely disappointed…read more I arrived at about 12:45 and found a fairly full parking lot. The lot is a little torn up but not too bad. It's easy to get in and out. Walked around to the front and stood in the entryway for a few minutes. Didn't know the protocol since it was my first visit. Eventually, a waitress said loudly from the drink machine to seat myself, so I selected an empty booth near the kitchen. There's a lot of seating inside. I'd say the restaurant was about 1/3 full. Idk where people park when they're at capacity lol. Waitress came over and somewhat incredulously asked if I was by myself, which I confirmed. She pushed a scrap of white paper in front of me and told me to circle what I wanted and she'd pick it up. Eh...okay. It was a limited menu of meat + 3 combinations. They advertise breakfast till 1 as well as burgers and sandwiches but none of that was on there. However, the waitress' demeanor can only be described as frosty, and fortunately I was okay with my choices, so I kept to myself. But a part of me was kind of curious about breakfast for lunch. Alas. She returned with my tea wordlessly and swiped up my slip with my order. I circled a fried chicken breast with "potato patties" and fried okra. The sweet tea was the best thing I had and I enjoyed drinking it while I waited for my food. No refills or to go cups were ever offered though. I will grant the food came out fairly fast...but it also came out cold. Well, the chicken and potatoes were approximating room temperature, but the okra wasn't even lukewarm. My grouchy waitress also didn't give me any silverware and ran off before I could ask for any. I had to hunt down a different, only marginally less grouchy waitress so I could eat my food with a fork. It's a shame the okra was cold because it had a hint of potential; the breading was sort of cornmeal-y and might have once been crispy. As it was, it wasn't good at all -- the cold okra got slimy. The chicken was passable but also not nearly hot enough. The breading also needed more seasoning. The potato patties were...not patties? I was expecting something like a Jojo (small crispy potato round, thicker than a chip) or at least something circular lol, but instead I got two scoops of a sort of whipped potato casserole. This would've also been alright except it was lukewarm and, even worse, absolutely replete with still-crunchy large pieces of onion. Couldn't get a mouthful without them and left with much smellier breath. The one redeeming factor other than the tea was the bread basket: two yeast rolls and a hunk of cornbread. The cornbread was awful (bland and dry), but the yeast rolls were soft and warm and about the only food item I legitimately enjoyed -- even though, once again, my waitress left me hanging with no butter. I really couldn't wait to get out as I felt terribly unwelcome, so as soon as I ate what I could stomach I went to the marginally less unfriendly waitress and paid at the register. The price was decent (~$15 before tip). I did still tip, but I was salty -- legitimately some of the worst service I've had in a long time. I'm forgiving of long wait times and forgotten stuff, but I really don't like callous attitudes when I do my best to be pleasant and accommodating. Definitely wouldn't return. 2 stars because the food was edible and the place was clean enough. The hunt for a decent lunch in Scottsboro continues.

The overall feel of the diner was an old school classic mom and pops place. If you are looking for a local joint with good food, this would be it. We went for breakfast, it was great.

There's an easily accessible parking lot and the interior of the restaurant is impressively large, so it was easy to accommodate our whole group. It has a little bit of a warehouse feel still honestly, not too much of a coherent "theme," but it was clean and that's about all I personally require. Of note, there's a salad bar, which I know is a somewhat rare dining feature nowadays sought after by many people. Several in my party were thrilled to see it. Service was decent, definitely a little on the slow side though to be fair such a large group certainly might've been overwhelming. They did a good job making sure all our checks were in the correct order. Friendly enough, though noncommittal when it came to making recommendations or describing dishes in more detail. Overall, acceptable. I remember chuckling because someone asked about the chicken tenders and whether they were fresh or frozen and our waitress replied she was pretty sure they were frozen. Definitely appreciated the honesty lol though it's a bit disappointing to hear. Anyway, we ran the gamut on food, it felt like -- little bit of everything. The most popular order was definitely the Philly sandwich; that's what I got. Other orders included the endless salad bar, the smash burger, the fettuccine Alfredo, spicy cauliflower, and I think one person even got the oysters. I would say the food was also just okay. Due to the size of our party, I didn't hear comments from everyone about every item. Again, the salad bar was super well received. The smash burger was good, too, or so I'm told. For my Philly cheesesteak, I thought they skimped a little on the meat and what meat was there was tough and super thin -- reminded me of Steak-Umms. Despite the other toppings, it just wasn't as rich or flavorful as I expect of a cheesesteak. The fries were frozen then fried but at least had a nice little sprinkling of seasoning, salt, pepper, etc. The person who got the fettuccine alfredo was pretty unhappy; there wasn't much chicken in it and she said the noodles were beyond overcooked. She didn't eat even half of it. Overall, I'd rate this place as pretty average across all dimensions, with some strengths and some weaknesses. The salad bar and large, welcoming space were definitely the highlights for our party.

We enjoyed our friendly service and the food was great. Our first time here and we will return.read more

It wasn't busy at all so I got to chit chat with the friendly barista. She helped talk me through a few drink options and I decided on a brown sugar latte. The drink was so good I had almost finished it off while waiting for my blueberry scone. Not that they took long, I just kept sipping! The scone came out hot and covered with icing. Highly recommended if you have a sweet tooth. It was a little too soft and ended up being very messy (grab a fork if you order one). The coffee shop itself had good vibes with a modern/minimalistic approach. Lots of seating if you have a big group or just need a place to work or read. I'll definitely be visiting again if I come back this way!

Kind of a classic hipster coffee place vibe. Coffee, tea, and chai available on the menu with non-dairy options for a small charge. I had a seasonal item, the vanilla chai, which was perfectly creamy and not too sweet with a touch of cinnamon and mulled spice. The grilled chicken Casear wrap was amazing - crisp lettuce and the perfect amount of dressing to keep the meat moist without a soggy tortilla. A little on the pricey side but very refreshing for a cute lunch date or catch up.
