Donuts - amazing! The best way to describe them is a sweet croissant. It's a yeast donut with multiple layers. We've tried the maple bacon, honey glazed, blueberry, turtle for the sweet ones. Okay, I am very conflicted. Donuts are really good and staff (for the most part) are trying to be nice, but the professionalism and operations makes me think twice. We got there about two hours prior to closing and the donuts (usually in two cases, labeled per section) were already condensed into one case. This made matching the donuts to the description very difficult and the staff member would have to repeat this to nearly every customer, including me. We ask about the sandwiches and one staff says, oh I'll have to check if my colleague will still make those. Fortunately, the other staff said yes, but two things here 1. Since when were products sold on a staff-needs basis and 2. They were out of many options for the sandwiches even if they could make them. This made this process quite frustrating and I ended up not ordering one since all the options I had wanted were not available. I also ask about the coffee options, including the seasonal cold brews. Staff express a sort of confused face and show me what looks like an instructions sheet for staff use to make the drinks. There seems to be some fumbling and confusing looks. Donuts though, they were quite nice. I wonder if with a bit more organization and process, this could become a go to. But for now... it remains off our breakfast/ brunch list. read more

I come here once every couple months. I decided to buy some donuts for the guys on the Job and then a separate box for Myself. She decided to inform me that more than two dozen donuts is considered a catering order. I wanted a doughnut. No, I NEEDED a doughnut. I first went to Krispy Kreme but they were closed for remodeling. I hopped across the highway to Dunkin' but there was a sign on the door stating that they didn't have enough employees for counter service and to use the drive through. The line was wrapped around the building. Maybe someone was telling me that I didn't need doughnuts. Of course I didn't listen. I finally opened up Yelp, and it didn't disappoint. There was another doughnut shop not too far down the road. I headed for Parlor Doughnuts. I followed Google Maps down Clinton and turned into the parking lot. I didn't see the shop right away - it was behind the building, sharing a parking lot with Yellowhammer brewery. Upon walking in, I was met by the wonderful aroma of fresh doughnuts. There were two cases filled with all kinds of unique, decadent varieties and several looked even too pretty to eat. I was quickly greeted and offered samples - "try them all" I was told and of course I did. The doughnuts are pricey - over $3 each so I ordered 4 - to be fair, they were huge. I also ordered a couple of keto doughnuts for a friend. I tried to stay more on the basic side - with a churro doughnut, the cinnamon vanilla, bourbon caramel and the standout of the group, the coconut cream. They were a little dry but a cold glass of milk helped out immensely. We cut each doughnut in half so we could taste them all. In all, between the two of us, we were only able to eat two doughnuts. Note to self, make sure to use a storage bag for the leftovers. We left them in the box overnight and that cold glass of milk couldn't conquer the dryness. The shop was looked clean but the floor was so sticky in areas that I stuck to it. I really liked looking at the antique cameras on display. I'm glad the other shops were closed - now I have a "real" doughnut shop to enjoy! read more

I was nearby getting my apple cider needs met at Pizelle's and figured...might as well try the most hyped donuts in town, finally. This location is part of a small chain. The store is located in Campus 805, more towards what I consider the "back" of this very popular hangout venue. During the daytime, at least, parking is not super challenging, and as far as donuts are concerned, you're probably not coming at 8 PM for those, so no worries there. The inside is spacious and airy, rather modern looking. The selection of donuts was looking a little ragged/worn down but I did stumble in at like 1:30; I'm sure it's more impressive in the morning. I didn't see any of their seasonal flavors on display but maybe I needed to come earlier. Other than donuts, they have a few other menu items like coffee, breakfast sandwiches, etc. I didn't need lunch and the donuts looked big enough to share so I limited myself to an order of one to split with my husband for dessert later that night. I selected the Reese's style donut, which came with chocolate glaze and a generous drizzle of peanut butter. The employees were fine! The girl who helped me had a very low/quiet voice and I honestly struggled a little to understand her but from what I did hear she was nice and got the job done! Now these donuts aren't really like standard donuts; they're more like the very trendy cronut or whatever portmanteau suits your preference -- it's a croissant/donut hybrid. This works great for me as I prefer a croissant texture to the insanely sugary spun air texture of the average fried donut. I was surprised at how much moisture this donut managed to maintain since we didn't eat it til before bed at around 9 PM. Pleasantly surprised it really wasn't stale at all. I liked the amount of peanut butter. It was quite sweet but not nauseatingly so. However, it did have a strange aftertaste; I'll attribute it to the chocolate but I'm not 100% sure. Not completely unpleasant but it's a shame it didn't end on a high note like how it started. I'd be curious to return and try other flavors to see if the aftertaste is chocolate glaze related or not. I'd try one of the cinnamon sugar type donuts next. Aftertaste or not, I prefer these to Krispy Kreme and could definitely see myself purchasing again if I needed donuts for a gathering or something. read more

We discovered this place in Destin, FL and man it doesn't disappoint. I like the fact that the flavors are consistent at both locations. The doughnut, which is a croissant, is very moist and buttery. All I can say is YUM! I was skeptical about whether I would like a cronut - I was very wrong and sad I hadn't tried one sooner. They were light, sweet, and doughy on the inside but are more filling than you realize. The choices are mind boggling. The staff is wonderful and the food is amazing. I wish we had one here in Adamsville/Savannah TN. I could totally see people eating this up here. Wish I would have bought a coffee cup because we were searching for breakfast on the 4th of July and they were the only ones we found open. This review is for the vegan/gluten free donuts only. The store itself was clean and attractive and the regular donuts looked great though I didn't try them. I went here specifically because their menu listed gluten free donuts. If you're considering the same, run away. This is not the donut shop for you. The donuts crumbled when we tried to pick them up. I don't know how they managed to do this but somehow and the texture of the donuts is simultaneously gooey and dry and crumbly. It's almost like eating wet sand. The donuts appeared to be baked in a mold and are not fried donuts. 100% do not recommend if you're in search of GF or vegan donuts. I am a connoisseur of gluten free donuts and have done extensive field research (that is, I've tried them all)...it is possible to make delicious GF donuts but Parlor Donuts has not yet mastered the art. read more

Went to Huntsville for a quick trip and read about this business having great donuts. I decided to drop by and it did not disappoint. These donuts are unique in their yeast texture, the size and the flavors they offer. I ended up coming back and got more to take home to my family. So far I have tasted the Strawberry Shortcake, Vanilla Carnival, and Campfire. All have been great. Breakfast tacos had so much cheese that they were soggy and dripped grease. Had to microwave our larger doughnuts because they were also ice cold. I question the freshness of this place. When I asked if they were still serving their savory foods, I was told no, that they had closed the kitchen and cleaned up already - mind you, they close at 4pm. I was really disappointed because I didn't just want sweets for lunch but I ordered some donuts and coffee anyway. Later that day, I coincidentally ran into their regional manager in my neighborhood. I was carrying my box of donuts, and she asked me about the service I received. I was honest about being bitter that they had stopped serving breakfast and was notified by her that they were NOT supposed to stop serving their savory foods before closing. As an apology, she offered me a coupon for a free donut, which was very nice of her, and it is good to see that their management cares about their customer satisfaction. Hopefully, the next time we go to Parlor, the issue with shutting down the kitchen before closing will be resolved. - **While their donuts are amazing, expect them to be mostly sold out after the lunch hour rush. Just as we were leaving they then set out several more trays of all the things that had been missing and I really wish they had set those out sooner because I would have bought more. - Paper cups I was going to give them 3 or 3.5 stars, but because the regional manager tried to make it right for me, I've bumped their rating up a little. We came here once in the spring and during thanksgiving visiting family. The ambiance is very modern and chill. We came in and they were making more donuts at the time. Their customer service was exceptional and the donuts are delicious! It reminds me of my most favorite donut shop ever (Blue Star in PDX). We will come back every time we visit family. read more
