To be totally transparent, I honestly am not the hugest fan of donuts, so my opinion may not be the most informed. There's plenty of room to park and I like that they stay open a little later than many other places that offer donuts. It's more spacious than I thought it would be inside and there are a few tables to sit at. The trash cans looked a little full and one table had some sugar spilled on it but other than that it was clean and warm. Donuts are displayed in a case by the register. There were a LOT of choices and I remember it being mostly unlabeled so I kind of had to guess based on appearance. There was a menu on the wall but one couldn't necessarily 100% reliably match the listed items to their counterparts in the case. Not a huge deal, but would be a positive change imo to add labels next to the actual donuts. Anyway, I wound up with a chocolate cake donut, a blueberry cake donut, and a chocolate glazed regular/fried donut with peanuts on top. The woman operating the cashier was supremely pleasant and really made my visit - she was just so warm and friendly. She threw in a couple donut holes, either as a kindness or perhaps because they were nearing closing time anyway. Regardless, the were appreciated! I brought the donuts home to my husband and we ate them for dessert later. He likes fried donuts more so he got about 80% of the fried (I wanted a little bite lol), I ate the blueberry donut, and we split the chocolate cake donut and donut holes. The holes were airy and had a nice vanilla flavor. The traditional fried donut was a little dry and the glaze a little waxy, but the peanuts were a nice addition. The chocolate cake donut was heavy and the sugary exterior was crackly in a way I didn't particularly love, but it was tolerable. The blueberry cake donut was my favorite part, as it was fluffy and not overly sweet. Again, I tend to be kind of hard on donuts because they're just not my favorite treat, so definitely give them a shot and see for yourself how you feel about them. We ordered three different types of donuts to share between 5 people. We loved them all. The business also gives a discount for first responders and military! My only suggestion is to order some not so sweet donuts, like cinnamon toast, to balance out the sweet ones. Highly recommended.

Saved some to drop off to our daughter & now she & her husband are planning on going there this week! I can't wait to go back. And service was awesome!!

The young person (woman) decided to help me, she was silent (didnt speak a courteous word.) I was asking about the Easter cupcakes, she simply demanded "which ones do you want". She then proceeded to put the selected cupcakes in a carry out vessel and crushed the lovely icing into the top of the clamshell. She never even slowed down to see what she did. She then went away for several minutes while I was trying to checkout without cupcakes. Once the first (helper???) actually brought the cupcakes the checkout person turned them on their side. This causes the icing to just slide off of the top of their respective cupcakes. So basically, Edgar ruined my wifes Easter surprise. I won't visit this business ag!

This business started as a pop-up at farmer's markets and such and grew to a brick and mortar. This little bakery and lunch spot is across the street from the credit union, conveniently off Whitesburg Drive. If you've ever been to any of the neighboring businesses (eg The Wine Cellar), you'll know parking is a challenge - not a ton of spots, and many of them requiring sharp angles to enter and exit. The restaurant looks a little like a small home and has a nice fenced in patio in the front. It looks like the owners are still working to put the finishing touches on the inside, but it's still cute and welcoming. There's a medium sized dining area with a window so employees can pass your food to you. A beautiful display case shows off the yummy baked goods. There are also several cold cases with prepared foods, to include appetizers, entrees, and desserts, for grab and go meals. Would be great for football games or easy entertaining! I've been twice now and staff has been sweet and helpful both times. The first time, I ordered a pan of macaroni and cheese for a Thanksgiving gathering. My in-laws don't do mac at Thanksgiving but I love it. However, I was too short on time this year and so when I saw LD's very reasonable pricing, I hopped on it. Pickup was easy. While there, I impulse bought a pumpkin cake roll because I didn't have enough pumpkin in my life. The mac and cheese was simple but well executed and went over nicely at Thanksgiving. Reheating/baking was easy, the time provided on the instructions was correct, and no mess made. No leftovers either! I really enjoyed the pumpkin roll but husband said it had too many pumpkin/fall spices for him. More for me. ;) I came again this week because I'd been wanting to actually have lunch here. They have simple breakfast and lunch items (breakfast burritos, paninis, sliders, etc) and I was excited to give it a go. I ordered the pimento cheese grilled cheese. I'd hoped for a side of macaroni salad but they were out so I wound up with Miss Vickie's chips instead. I also got a trail mix bar for a snack later because I can't ever resist those types of goodies. My sandwich came out promptly: pimento cheese and bacon griddled on jalapeño cheddar bread. The staff member apologized for it being messy, which it certainly was lol; I had to get a fork to eat the plummeting clumps of pimento cheese. Messiness aside, I enjoyed the sandwich. The pimento cheese was appropriately gooey and cheesy. I wish the bacon had been a little crispier but it was an ample amount. My favorite part was the bread; the jalapeño flavor was subtle but there and it was the perfect texture for a panini. The trail mix bar I had later was packed full of goodies and also yummy. Give this local business a try sometime! I especially love them for the ease and convenience of their take and bake goods.

Also pleased with the selection for breakfast: croissant or biscuit sandwiches, donuts, pigs in a blanket... I wanted a big breakfast so I chose two of the pigs in a blanket made with full size sausage dogs. Then I also couldn't pass up the face-sized cinnamon roll for just a $1.50 which I planned to save for later. Sausage dogs were very good and filling. Croissant roll tasted freshly baked. Believe it or not I actually saved the giant cinnamon roll for my next morning's breakfast. It was still very good but tasted more like a donut than a cinnamon roll dough. Reviews from friends on the donuts have also been all thumbs up!
