When you walk in there are several tables with tall chairs. The middle has some regular sized tables and chairs and then towards the back to the left is the bar. The rest rooms are on the right. The space was crowded when we arrived with a mixture of locals (who the staff seemed to know) and presumably other Blaze attendees. The Tavern space has definitely been there for a while, but the new wood on the ceiling and the overall condition of the bar shows that it has been renovated over the years with care. We were seated very quickly and our waitress was very good about answering our questions with a smile. I wound up ordering a personal sized pizza with mushrooms. What's interesting is that my dish was perhaps the most middle of the road. I think the sauce needed a bit more flavor. However, everyone else at the table got some awesome dishes. One person got a crab chowder which was savory and a bit spicy. Another person got the Lobster Mac n' Cheese and let me tell you, they do not skimp on the lobster!
