We tried several pastries and cake (sugar donut , chocolate cake, cheesecake, and a custard filled tube) and they were all delicious. We also had the Rican sandwich and that was flavorful - a sweet sauce, pressed bread, perfectly cooked meat. The coffee was pressed and very smooth. We were lucky that they had fresh bread pop out of the oven while we were waiting and they sold us a loaf (usually available only in the morning). It was a clean restaurant, very casual, Puerto Rican music playing. The service was excellent. They were very nice. We will definitely stop again.

The breakfast sandwich was HUGE and had thick cut bacon, fresh avocado, and was made to order. The donut was sweet and savory and the iced coffee was refreshing! I saw that they have coffee flights and a large array of lunch items as well. They even have an area with dog items (homemade donut treats, clothes, toys) and their patio is dog friendly! Aubrey, the young lady that took care of me on my visit, was expectational , friendly, outstanding, customer service and patient. Visiting from out of town after a 5k in Sandy Lake, PA, on my way to Astubula OH and in need of bread , and sweet treats for adopted family visiting. I ended up spending under $12, for assortment of cookies, sliced Italian bread, two turnovers and a peach muffin, and decorative cookie. Defintly, im sure a favorite for locals, and can understand and agree. Conveniently located in a plaza, well worth it, glad I discovered this gem. As always thanks fellow Yelpers.

I stopped in and got a dozen doughnuts from the very friendly owner and they were GREAT! Inexpensive as well. As I sat waiting for my food, I saw a few people come in who were greeted by employees and other patrons by name. I chose French toast, scrambled eggs, two bacon and two sausage. It was pretty decent, but I think I should have ordered the waffle, since it's in the name of the restaurant. They had specialty waffles also. The staff was nice and helpful. These folks make insanely good pastries that originated in Croatia and Slovenia. Not only are they…read morefresh and tasty, they remind me of my mother, who's been gone for over 30 years. Every holiday season, she put a clean tablecloth on the dining room table, and spread flour over it. She then rolled sweet roll dough into a layer that covered the table and was so thin it was translucent. She then spread a mixture of brown sugar, butter, and finely ground walnuts over the dough. The tricky part was rolling the dough into a cylinder ( I helped with that part). The reward was a fragrant roll with many layers. Butter Maid is exactly like what my mother made, plus they have flavor choices she never dreamed of. The prices are very reasonable, and regular customers get great discount. A plus is that you can buy a cookie donation for our military troops!
