Supposed to be Boston Kreme. Half-filled and frosting. ‍

Really Dunkin', just really?! As if the picture I attached wasn't enough, I feel compelled to write this review. National donut day.....so I ordered a Boston Creme Donut. When I bit into the donut I got no filling. Second bite was the same. Third bite I found out it was frosting filled instead of creme filled. Seriously? I ordered one damn donut!!!!! One word, shameful. (See attached picture).

a picture of a donut with sprinkles

I ordered a dozen of the Pink Strawberry Frosted donuts, a classic donut. Instead I we were given sad, gloomy (pink?) Halloween donuts. I can see why they're hiring.

Stopped by today and the Donuts were extremely stale. Service was ok but I won't stop back by.

Waited over 30 minutes at a fully staffed restaurant where they were not even making food, just sitting around.

Their iced lattes are delicious, and so are the items on the breakfast menu. The line moves fast and my order is always correct.

Slowest Dunkin' in America. Watched the employees talk and drink their own Dunkin' drinks instead of making my food.

I guess I wasn't very clear on what to expect after looking at their website before my visit. I much enjoy the Artists' Guild shop at Goodyear Cottage on Jekyll or Glynn Visual Arts on SSI and I had the impression that this would be Brunswick's version of those handmade art stores, but it wasn't. There was a paint-your-prefab-ceramics class going on in the back studio and people gathered around a table in the cafe making a craft or something. I know these are popular with certain people but Build-a-Bear type ceramics are not for me. The store portion is laid out much like an Anthropologie vibe, made to look like everything is precious and "deep." Merch was more crafty than artsy, like Etsy as a shop, with Etsy prices. All artsy-looking commercially produced goods or handicrafts rather than actual art--I saw no OOAK items in the shop, nothing actually handmade either unless the bead earrings were handmade on a loom but again, identical duplicates of them. It seemed like everything had to be a certain matching aesthetic and be a similar BoHo Brooklyn "Beige Mom" style. Brunswick can be diverse for those who embrace it, so the store name "Makers BWK" is a little misleading in that sense. When I think "Southern" + "art" I go to folk art or Gullah crafts, memory quilts, face jugs, etc. I get it if that's too traditional and established for the under-35s, but Brooklyn BoHo? I guess it's a novelty this far from NYC. Also, as you can see in my pictures, there was no coastal art representation for the Golden Isles. Unlike the Artists' Guild shop at Goodyear Cottage on Jekyll or Glynn Visual Arts on SSI, it just seems like there is no sense of locality infused in any of the products Makers BWK had. They mention goods from Haiti online so I appreciate if those are Fair Trade but there was nothing to explain what was local. The craft market candles? The mass-produced sketchbooks? Jewelry, candles, soap, cards, sketchbooks, random snacks... again, not OOAK original art. It is what it is, and good for those who like it. It's artsy craft market stuff. It's just not for me and was frustrating to waste time to visit when online it seemed depicted as actual art for sale.

I love this store and the story behind it! The owners are amazing and their journey is admirable…read more They have a delightful shop with many local items and items from Haiti. A great addition to The Pier Village area of St. Simons Island. Located close to the pier itself…read morewhich is great for breakfast lunch or dinner. There is ample parking normally but during events or peak times may be challenging. The restaurant decor is nicely appointed with the interior walls being bare brick & ceiling having exposed beams . Roughly 8-9 tables of 4 inside along the wall, 7-8 spots at the counter & 5 tables of 4 outside which has coverage from the sun as well as 6-7 chairs on the side walk area that you can enjoy and adult beverage. During the Winter they have 4 heaters outside nicely spaced to keep you warm on cool evenings. The service was excellent. Sam our waiter/server was attentive and refilled drinks as well as made some recommendations. I had the Black & Blue Wagyu burger w/cucumber salad. The burger was very juicy with burger sauce (mayo, ketchup & mustard combined), tomato, lettuce and bacon. Excellent!! My friend had the Shrimp Po-boy also with cucumber salad. The shrimp were fried and placed into a French roll with Tatar sauce as well as lettuce and tomato. He said the shrimp were hot and were cooked perfectly. The cucumber salad is a cream type salad with ample amount of cucumber slices and dill. If you live on or are visiting St. Simons Island, this is an excellent spot to try. The menu has a good variety of food items to select from as well as various sides & beverage choices from coffees to iced tea/soda to wines & crafted cocktails. Bon appetite'!

Wow this place is fantastic!!…read more Donuts are one of my favorite foods in all the world. When traveling, I love looking for the top rated donuts thru Yelp! At Dulce Dough Bakery, every donut I tried was incredible. The cinnamon brioche donut and the maple brioche donuts were our favorites. My husband had the jalapeño, bacon, cheddar cathead biscuit with the addition of eggs, bacon & cheese. He wants to go back tomorrow for another one!! Coffee is served in jadeite mugs. They also have fresh squeezed orange juice. When my friend was commenting on the homemade juice, the guy making it brought us a small glass of juice to sample! We had some fancy, high end meals while visiting Sea Island. This small donut shop has been the highlight of our visit!

I had to get my order to go this time but the seating area was lovely. The young lady at the register where you order was patient and helpful. It was very difficult to choose, but I had a king cake , glazed and sugar donut. These are not your typical donuts...very hard to describe, but I love it. So much better than the other common stores. I also got a brioche bun and loved it. It's made from the same dough as the doughnuts and I could eat them every day with no problem. Awesome! I tried to go last week on Monday morning, but they were closed. I'm so glad they still had choices left, as when they sell out of an item you have to wait until next time. These are hand made, not mass produced and it really makes a huge difference! I will return for sure!!!!!! I understand now why everyone raves about them and I will be joining the group too.
