It's no mystery that Starbucks is by far my favorite stop for coffee and other selections that are spontaneously dictated by my cravings for great coffee. I have visited literally hundreds of Starbucks' location since they've come into existence and although they all seem to be pretty consistence with the quality of the products they offer; the service, quality of the product, wait-time, cleanliness and accessibility of the location are the five points I will rate all of them on going forward - so to make the point I've recently incorporated a rating system based on this short list to calculate the rating of the locations I visit. I feel all these criterions are controllable by the corporation, the franchise owner or store manager. Service - 3 Stars Quality - 4 Stars Wait Time - 1 Stars Cleanliness - 4 Stars Accessibility - 1 Stars Rating - 2.6 Stars The excessive wait time was only tolerable because going inside was less painful than the drive through although the parking options are horrendous the drive through blocks you in no matter the parking space you choose during busy times. read more

It is a Starbucks after all, so naturally I'm going to give it a high praise. The food and service at Starbucks are simply second to none in the upscale coffee market. I went to this location with a group of friends and family, and we all ordered different drinks. Everyone was really satisfied with what they got, and the barista's did an awesome job. The space is self was laid out really nicely, and including an outdoor seating area, which was a nice touch - but in the heat of the south who can sit outside until October. If you find yourself on the island, this is a must stop. read more

Stopped by on our way back home at the end of our vacation. Three of us each ordered cold brews with cold foam. The drive thru line was pretty long, but we all needed coffee for the 3+ hour drive ahead of us. The line moved slowly, but we finally got to the window and were handed 3 drinks that we immediately noticed weren't cold brews (I order a cold brew with cold foam almost daily at home, so I know exactly what it is supposed to look like). My fiancé mentioned we'd ordered cold brews and the woman snapped back "these are cloud macchiatos. What you don't like them?" We were kind of taken aback, since it's not a matter of taste, it's a matter of not receiving anything close to what we ordered. We said sorry but we didn't want the macchiatos, we wanted the cold brews, and gave them back to her. The woman was clearly irritated and told us to pull forward while they remade our drinks. We sat and waited another 5-10 minutes before another girl came out (who looked incredibly pissed off) and handed us our cold brews. She sarcastically asked if they were ok before walking off. There was never even a "sorry for the wait" or "sorry about the mix up." Honestly, if the girl had been even remotely pleasant or apologetic, I wouldn't have even thought about writing this review. If I could give negative stars to this location I would. Their customer service is atrocious and their management and training needs some major improvement. This was hands down the worst Starbucks experience I've ever had. I was honestly so irritated with how we were treated that I didn't even think to check to make sure that my app wasn't charged for the more expensive macchiatos instead of our cold brews. I come to St. Simon's Island multiple times a year but would never, ever go back here. read more

This Starbucks is probably the worse I've been too! I order my drink that EVERY Starbucks has gotten it right on the first or 2nd time! But I come here and this woman makes my drink the first time, I taste it and it tastes like a black coffee! 2nd time she makes it there is literally no coffee in it! So I'm angry and have no more time to waste on a woman who takes too long to make a drink and can't even make it, I have to leave! I've been to almost every Starbucks in the East Coast and almost every Starbucks in Texas, and this is the only place where the person making my drink can't make it right and takes a while to make it. Pulled off the side of road because there was a rather large loogie in my Starbucks Iced Caramel Macchiato. I spit it onto the lid of my cup because I sucked it out of the straw, I was shocked. I had just left the drive through with my four kids. Some of the loogie was on my hands and stuck to the back of my throat. After a few minutes of composing myself on the side of the road and all the while my kids looked on in complete disgust, I headed back to this Starbucks with the loogie. I entered the store my hand still trembling with disgust at the thought of someone's bodily fluids in my iced caramel macchiato. I confronted employees inside the Starbucks. They suggested it could not have happened because they all had masks on. One employee went on to suggest that perhaps Starbucks changed their caramel recipe. Not even a sincere acknowledgment of my plight. They asked, "what do you want?", well for starters an apology, a new drink, some sympathy! They offered, perhaps the hot espresso hitting the caramel changed the consistency. Went by this morning at 8:15am and ordered 4 pumpkin cream cheese muffin and after waiting behind 15 vehicles I got to the window and was told they only had two, disappointing and forced us to go to a competitor. When I took the two muffins out of the bag, they were stuck together and all goodie together. Such a good product but extremely poor delivery. I am a loyal customer who comes every day. I finally got a full cup of gold stars and when I tried to use my reward for a free drink, I was told that it had expired! What a slap in the face. It's like the ole bait and switch. I didn't realize that I was supposed to tell them about the reward, I thought it showed up when they scanned my card. I also didn't realize that they expire so quickly. What a way to make a loyal customer feel gipped. I have really enjoyed coming here. What the server should have done is given the tea to me anyway and then explained that next time I need to be aware of the expiration date and she could have shown me where to find it. I spend about $200 a month here, what would that have really cost them to do that. Poor customer service training, learn the big picture. :( read more

Always liked Starbucks. Good product, well trained, and courteous staff, pleasant atmosphere, clean and tidy premises. The only objection might be the volume of the music at this location... Even when it's clear that most everyone sitting inside is either working, or studying, on their laptops, or conducting a business meeting, one often has to raise one's voice to be heard... I've never thought the concept of $9 cup of coffee would really work when I was working on my MBA and to see Starbucks closing stores didn't come as a shock. I'm not a coffee drinker but would oblige my co-worker to stop here for breakfast so we did. I ordered a water and a cinnamon roll. The one in the display case was covered with cinnamon so I was surprised when mine came out and had zero cinnamon on it. I took it back and the girl tried to tell me that it was correct so I showed her the difference of the one in the case and she said that it was because the sugar had melted. I guess she doesn't know how hot you have to get sugar to melt it, and that my cinnamon role being luke warm this really didn't jive with what she was trying to sell me. The bottom line was that the food in question was dry, bland, and not at all in appearance to what was in the display case.
