My husband called me in tears from the parking lot because all he wanted after the first half of his hard shift was a Dunkin' Donuts coffee on his lunch break the barista watch the door gets slammed on his face. It's a hit and miss store. Their coffee is too watery for my taste. I have to order extra shot of espresso from time to time, because it is quite bland. Donut choices are not many. I'm not a big fan of the accessibility of this location. It's on that awkward Bissonnett Bellaire intersection so if you aren't traveling west on Bellaire it can be difficult to get to. It also does not have a drive thru and the parking lot can get crowded. There is not space between the register and the front door so the line typically forms to the left of the register. This makes it difficult to read the menu/make selections prior to reaching the counter. The service is okay but nothing to brag about. I've never had a bad item from here though. I do wish on my latest visit the avocado was spread on both the top and bottom slices of bread. However, the sandwich was tasty. The tomato and bacon had great flavor. read more

I love this location because I can get my bag of Dunkin' whole beans to grind. Some stores only carry the ground bean bags. I grind my own at home and use a French press. I ONLY drink Dunkin' at home. It isn't bitter like Starbucks coffee. The in-store hot and cold coffee choices are fantastic, they have delicious donuts and hot breakfast foods like bagels and breakfast sandwiches. I am always embarrassed by sweets in the morning.I am from Japan. I was raised with weird breakfast such as raw egg$rice, fish, miso soup and funny natto-beans. But these are very healthy. The dining room tables, floors, counters and even the food prep area were practically spotless. I consider that to be a major plus since this place generally stays busy. Just tried coffee latte you have option of having it with sugar or without it. I had it with no sugar and it is one of the best ones. I also ordererd apple fritter and ate half to save for later. It tasted good. Next time I will ask for it warmed up. There are tables outside and inside. The tables will accomodate up to four comfortably. Though if you want to meet as study group or study on your own it is a little difficult. The tables will accomodate your laptop but there no conevenient outlets. If you have a 13 inch laptop, you can fit your college book on the table. If your laptop is larger then that's all you can have on table. You can do light work or school assignments. However if your trying understand what you are doing it will be difficult to concetrate because of all the foot traffic. I wore earplugs and was able to last 2 hours for school work. read more

I am from out East and grew up with Dunkin' Donuts. 35 years ago we used to enjoy them with grandparents. The donuts are as good as they ever have been. I am also impressed with the new items such as the interesting refreshers and the toasts. Service is always good. To me, dining out at my favorite restaurants is a novelty and has been the greatest extra treat that I give myself over the 5 decades I have been alive! I have always loved restaurants of all different foods across the country. It deeply affects my pride and just honestly hurts my feelings and makes me feel very small when I encounter a rude service person who acts like I am nothing. However, the fact still remains that I am a customer. I matter. Today when the last member of the team called out "strawberry refresher" I was happy and exclaimed meekly, "me"! And it was met with a rude and dismissive "okay" with a get the heck out of my hair and my sight demeanor. What a way to start my morning. Verbal words can hurt. Rejection hurts as well. And the "you are a bother to me" sort of demeanor I was given at the end of the visit was not worth the food items. Like I tell everyone, I have worked in the industry for close to 30 years. Since 1993. I have worked every job from dishwasher to FOH. I have spent the majority of my life serving food to customers in all types of settings including hospital settings and fast food. Working in hospitality continues to require friendliness and kindness and empathy. Rude service continues to make dining out an inconvenience. Nobody wants to be insulted when they are paying for a product or a service. It is rude. It is disrespectful. It is hurtful. And the general public and the majority of us nobody regular nice folks who have worked our tails off in the workforce for decades, we would just rather not bother. It is quite ironic in the hospitality industry how inexperienced service professionals are so indifferent to the meekest customers and cater to the most demanding ones. They are super friendly to everyone in a genuine way. I was not able to visit here yesterday and experienced a coffee withdrawal while working. I visited THREE other Dunkin locations throughout the day which were closer and neither could make a a simple menu-coffee order worth a S#!T They each gave me cream in a cup with a few drops of coffee when I asked for coffee with cream. This is one of the many places from the Northeast that I miss. I don't know why there are so few Dunkins here. I have to say that I am not a fan of donuts. Not your typical glazed, that is. But I love Dunkin Donuts cake donuts. The coconut is a fave of mine. They are light with a good texture and so yummy. What I REALLY love here are the pumpkin muffins and the blueberry muffins. My friends and I always argue over Shipley's vs. Dunkin.... coffee hands down wins for DD and the overall look and feel again to DD. I have been to lots of DD's in the Northeast where they are as common as Starbucks, so I know what the coffee should taste like. For some reason, the coffee here doesn't taste the same as the other locations (and I've been back to this location many times because there are not many DD's inside the loop). It's not bad coffee, it's just not the same. One afternoon I came in here and ordered a decaf and it was served warm, almost cold. I asked why it was not hot and their answer was since not that many people order decaf, they keep it in a thermos so it wasn't hot anymore. Uh, that's not acceptable.
