Please note, this rating subject to change. On grand opening day, I arrived at 6:45 am. It's so packed I kept driving. After work, I arrived at 4:30. It's still packed but I went in. I'm # 42 in line. Yikes! Waited 5 minutes and left. The second morning, I arrived at 6:45 am and the parking lot is empty. Got 2 apple fritters and left. Now remember, I'm comparing them to AM donuts, the absolute king of donuts in Abilene. I was so disappointed! Compared to AM, they are terrible. The fritters are much smaller, very little Apple taste, and cost 50% more than AM. All donuts are a little higher than AM. I probably won't be returning for donuts, but there is still Baskin Robbins! Having been to Dunkin Donuts all over the country, I wasn't expecting anything other than the usual few flavors. This new location blew my mind. Their donut selection was huge, including custom made themed donuts by the super creative bakers. I got a Shark Week donut and they had the cutest Jack-Jack (from the Incredibles) donut. All the donuts were extremely fresh which was impressive since it was going on 2pm. The cashier, Winter, was so nice, answered all my questions and talked about the donuts with the kind of enthusiasm you'd expect when you have such a great variety. Well done DD. There are so many issues most of which don't relate to the food. The air conditioning is not adequate to cool the dining area. There is always a line and it moves incredibly slow. There is no consistency to help the flow of traffic. It's just not worth it to stand in a long line, sweating for a donut or ice cream! The drive thru doesn't function well either. Horrible experience. Placed an order online , there was an option to pick up in store. I walked in and was immediately yelled at to get out and that inside was closed. I tried to explain that I was just picking up my order & that the drive thru was long . But I was cut off and yelled at again to get out. I then had to go to drive thru to get my order , I tell them I have an online order. The girl at the window then tried charging me again for my order although I paid online. She then gets angry at me and slams my food down , then proceeds to hand me my coffee however it was the wrong drink. I ordered a medium iced pumpkin spiced latte with almond milk & whipped cream and she handed me a hot small coffee. When I told her it was the wrong drink , she slammed the door shut. She eventually gives me a large iced coffee but it still wasn't my correct drink. It was not made with almond milk , was not pumpkin spice and had no whipped cream. I checked my bagels when I got home and those were burnt as well. Overall , my experience was horrible mainly because of the customer service & my incorrect items. read more

I've been here many times. Inside and through the drive through but when I'm with somebody, we usually go inside. Me and my mother were in the mood for ice cream from 31 Baskin Robins. BR is the other half of Dunkin'. We parked and walked to the door to find out that the inside is closed. Well, there's just a certain experience you get when you're in the mood to go inside. It's just a moment to slow down and relax. It a lot different than feeling like you're in a hurry like you do when you drive through. So, here we are having to go back to our vehicle. Very disappointed that they're still not allowing people to go inside. Since that day, I have gone back a couple of times but it was for a coffee drink. As for the ice cream, I don't care to have to get that to go. I'm going to start going to Stone Cold Creamery to get my ice cream. I can go inside over there. read more

Gross! First thing we noticed was the trashcan behind the counter overflowing so badly that banana peels and other trash were falling out onto the floor of the bathroom hallway. Multiple staff just standing around and there didn't seem to be anyone in charge. We watched one staff serve himself a sample, others fixing their hair and pulling up their pants. Despite the improper food handling we ordered a dozen assorted donuts. None of the flavors were good. Tasted like stale bagels with icing. The coffee and donuts were delicious but the customer service ruined the entire experience. This was our first time to ever go to Dunkin'. We had a large order and the cashier taking our order was in a rush even thought they weren't busy. When we got to the drive thru window the cashier took the money and slammed the window shut without saying anything, didn't tell us what our drinks were and rushed us while we tried to organize who's drinks were which. They didn't say anything polite and kept rolling their eyes and sighing because they were so annoyed and impatient. Not worth it. What happened to you???? Couldn't wait for you to finally come back to Abilene. We live on the Northside and had gone to the one on N. 1st. a lot over the years. The other shops we have here cannot hold a candle to what we used to have at Dunkin. I'll just list some of the differences between the old and new Dunkin. 1--All the donuts years ago, were crispy outside but tender inside. These are soft, YUCK!!! 2--The donuts used to have a good taste, these are tasteless!!! 3--The powdered sugar ones and the other ones that had powdered sugar on them, had a lot of it, and it was REAL powdered sugar. DO YOU THINK WE ARE STUPID AND DO NOT KNOW WHAT POWDERED SUGAR IS???? I'll tell you what it is not!!! It's not a very thin sprinkle of a sort of off white, non-sweet, tasteless CRAP!!!! 4--Before, they would rival any donuts a good shop or home baker could make. Now, they are near the bottom of the pack of bad donut shops by using a cheap mix, the wrong frying medium and the powered sugar issue, at the least. 5--The other writer was correct about the small, terrible, non-apple fritter. 6--When ordering at the drive-thru, don't tell us you have what you don't, and give us something we didn't want. We got two vanilla frosted instead of one glazed and one chocolate frosted. Two Bavarian cream instead of one and no lemon filled as ordered. If I could give you minus a lot of stars, I would. FINALLY! REAL DONUTS ! REAL ICE CREAM! AFFORDABLE COFFEE! AN APP WITH REWARDS! The long-awaited return of Dunkin to Abilene is the best thing that has happened to the city this summer! The employees and managers are friendly, the quality is on par with Dunkin anywhere else in the country. I wish the parking lot was bigger but other than that - ABSOLUTELY AMAZING and WORTH THE 10+ YEAR WAIT ! I will NOT be going to ANY other overpriced breakfast sandwich, coffee, bagel, donut or ice cream shop in Abilene EVER AGAIN! This place will put them out of business and you know what, good. Donuts are good but 99 cents per donut is s little too expensive for me. And they have a really small choice of donuts. Waited and waited for them to open and I am so disappointed. Their coffee and their food is on point, exactly what you'd expect. But the drive through is so poorly designed. A backup of 4 cars puts people into the street, and the curve to the window is too narrow. Also, I was there on opening day and even though I got the free coupons, I was very disappointed in how poorly organized it was. There were two doors and no one knew which ones would open first. There was no "line starts here" sign of ppl out front to see who was the first 100. Someone devised a numbers system and they totally ignored it, letting people who walked up last minute take from those who were there for hours.
