Of course upon my arrival on Christmas Eve there were no boxes but a young lady whose name I don't remember advise me to return on New Years Day as she will communicate again with the receiving department to save boxes for me. Upon my arrival a young lady by the name of Linda came to me with a big smile and she was extremely courteous. She was more than happy to accommodate my needs and also agreed to save additional boxes for me to ensure I had enough for my move. So I again returned to the store to collect more boxes for my move. I have shopped at this location since they opened and I must say I have always been pleased with the services that I have received, but I must say this act of kindness definitely put this group of individuals over the top. I purchased several items that were locked behind a case, so an employee had to unlock them and take them to a register at the front of the store. When I finished scanning the rest of my items and was ready to check out, I asked for the locked items. The employees couldn't find them, and I ended up waiting over 30 minutes while they searched. The whole purpose of Scan & Go is to save customers time, but this experience completely defeated that purpose. Walmart needs a better system for handling locked merchandise so customers aren't left waiting for half an hour just to complete their purchase. It was a frustrating experience that turned what should have been a quick trip into a long and unnecessary delay.

The market has only been open a few weeks now and is currently still building their inventory so make a request if there is an item you would like. Square footage wise, this is the largest Asian market in the High Desert. I ran out of fish sauce which made it the perfect time to visit. They had two brands currently, "Squid Brand" and "Three Crabs." Both are quality brands of fish sauce. I chose the Squid Brand since I have not had this one since childhood. I look forward to using this for cooking and as a table condiment. I perused every aisle. There are also freezers for frozen foods and a refrigerator case for fresh vegetables and beverages. I got some Milkita candy and a package of coconut butter biscuits. Hopefully, more snacks will be available in the near future. I was gifted a bag of A Choy which is an Asian green also known as Taiwanese Lettuce. I later stir fried it with sliced garlic and fermented tofu (foo yee). It was delicious! I definitely plan on returning in the near future to see what other items are available. It is nice to be able to purchase Asian groceries without making the trip down the hill. There is also plenty of parking in the large lot.

La Cocina (The Kitchen) and La Panaderia (The Bakery) were both closed at the time. I'll have to return to try their freshly made savory foods and sweet baked goods.
