I went to Winco in apple valley on 4/12/26 I bought over 100$ I food (which is easy to do. I got 4 packs of oxtails costing 19$ each approximately 80$. I went back to Winco on 4/13/26 because when I opened one of the packs I found it to be spoiled. Upon returning 3 of the packs, I was informed that meat could not be returned as it is a loss for the store. I was given a gift card for the three packages The Manager and the lead cashier. I have lived in the High Desert for over 20 years and the Apple Valley WinCo is by far the dirtiest grocery store I have ever been in. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The food belts at the check stand are never, ever clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Im at the store several times a week and the belts are so discusting I have to ask the checker to clean it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Today my husband and I were at WinCo and again the belt was ridiculously discusting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We asked the checker if it could be cleaned she states that she didn't have anything to clean the belt with. I asked the checker mext to her and she refused to let me use hers. I then called the manager to assist. He could care less. All he did was make excuses instead of trying to fix the problem. I just bought the chicken meal with Mylinda at the deli, she wasn't very nice also noticed she was treating me very differently from a customer who happened to be white next To me, she was being rude and went as far as to give me the ugliest chicken pieces, but to the other lady she was extremely polite. The Jess Ranch Winco is Not Following Covid-19 Precautions. I am a loyal customer at Winco; however, last night on 8/30/2020 @ 8:15pm I observed a customer walk-in, walk through the store without any MASK on. This was very concerning. I observed her in the Dairy Dept and I ended up behind her at the check-out stand, and of course no one said anything about not following the stores posted policy. During this Covid -19 Crisis it is extremely concerning why people do not take other people's lives seriously. And, why the WinCo employees do not uphold the stores posted policy. I asked the clerk what do they do when a patron doesn't follow the posted restore requirement, and she stated, "I Don't Know". Wow, this demonstrates another systemic problem, no employee education with loose policies in place. read more

I had to update my review after shopping here. The produce is squishy and molded. It must be a terrible place to work because the employees are pissed off and rude all the time. Today in the parking lot I'm coming into the store and some young dunce collecting carts (brown curly hair) just shoves all the carts in front of me and a bunch of other customers so we had to just stand there and wait for him and his long line of carts to go by, then he starts violently shoving carts into his collector. I really can't believe that they don't have fresh hot food. I came in yesterday and purchased some hot wings. But when I got home they were hard and stale but because of COVID-19 I wasn't going to return them but I had a change of hart.when I came back to the store the customer service rep told me to go back and get fresh wings the guy gladly said ok. But the other worker was going to put them back in the case that is when I told him that I purchased them yesterday and they were stale.
