Went into Vons to get some flowers . Everything was picked over. Went over to ask lady working at the counter (who was busy chatting with friends) when they restocked. She asked rudely if I had a question like I was bothering her. I said yes, do you know what time the flowers are restocked. She said I have been restocking all day. Like I knew this. Went in for some deodorant. It was locked and then pushed the button to get service. Arturo walked by and I asked him for help. He kept walking and ignored me. Came back and asked him if he was going to help and he shook the keys in the air without any verbal response, and went over to another customer. He helped them and then walked over. He is rude and nasty and should not be working in the public sector. With all of the people looking for employment, this young, inexperienced, and angry employee needs to find a different line of work and let someone who understands Customer Service get hired. Went in just to buy fried chicken but it took 40 minutes of waiting for a worker to get to me. Once I finally got it, the chicken was rubber. Store is clean. Large. But I bought my groceries and forgot a can of pineapple. By the time I got back (2 minutes) to the check stand again it became Disneyland. There was 15 plus people in each check stand. Only two lanes open and they refused to open another check stand. I rarely shop at Vons but this store had a recent one day sale on snow crab clusters that I couldn't resist. I usually get crab legs at an Asian buffet but these are a rarity nowadays. This store is very clean, well stocked, and well maintained. The produce section was neatly arranged with an employee replenishing the displays of fruit and vegetables. I found the crab in their frozen meat area. They were prepackaged in bags about 3 pounds each. It was a matter of selecting the bag that had the most appealing contents. The sale price is for their Vons member club. It has been years, if not decades, that I have shopped at Vons but my telephone number was still in their system. That was a relief since the regular price was pretty hefty. The cashier was friendly and efficient. Parking is plentiful in the shopping center lot. read more

I actually love this Von's location. It's the only Von's we have in the High Desert and it is much needed. The store is so inviting because it's always clean with items in their proper place. Produce is the first thing you see when entering the store and it's always so fresh and colorful. They have a wide variety of good quality fruits and vegetables, including organic options. They're flowers are also just as vibrant and at the entrance of the store. I always pick up a soup or two when shopping because there's always a good variety. Meat counters are well stocked and staff is always kind and helpful. This store checks off all the boxes and the on-site Starbucks is definitely a bonus. I love it here! read more

I'm so happy that there is a Vons in Victorville. Unfortunately, on more than one occasion I've bought a cake from here and it has been improperly labeled. The cake label says white cake but both times it was chocolate cake. I'm not fond of chocolate cake but I wasn't going to return it. Plus in the current climate I wouldn't want to return food. Vons, if you're reading this, please label your cakes properly. I've bought two cakes for birthdays and both times the birthday person wanted white cake but was disappointed to find chocolate instead. At $8.99 per 5" cake they're not cheap. Made an Pick-up order with THIS particular VONS, and it ended horrible! I made my order, with the neat first time online order coupon which saved me a LOT of money, I was super excited to make this order. Took a while to pick out all my items just right, double, triple check it, and finally place the order and make it official for pick-up the very next day at this particular VONS. I go to sleep, wake up excited, get text about my pick up slip , so I go print the slip on the computer to discover that I have been charged almost double of what I had payed. They added triples and doubles of what I had put on my order, all over night, what a shock! There are similar stories with both pick-up and delivery orders nationwide. I feel bad for the other horror stories, But luckily I was able to dispute without any losses except time and piece of mind..... If this happens to you, DO NO pick up the order, immediately call or chat with customer support, I believe stores are doing this on purpose or there is a giant glitch in their system, either way many people have been charged and do nothing, or are told it is too late after they pick it up, Buyers Beware. read more

The men in the meat department are very helpful and nice, so are the ladies in the deli Vons has the best deli of any grocery store up in the High Desert they sell variety of cheeses and meats, but I don't like the way they put the advertisements on top of certain items and other items that had nothing to do with that sale. So when I am at the Check out stand I always Make sure I organize my groceries. 1: to make it easier for the bagger. 2: Easier for the customer to put away when I drop it off. 3: to Keep cold things cold, and together. And I always keep meat together so they can go in a bad alone.... Today I had a girl named Alboney or something like that bagging my stuff. Well for one she just grabbed random stuff And put it in bags, it's like I already had it all nicely separated for you. So when I got to my car it took me more time to rebag everything ‍ which we are timed during our orders so that sucked I wasted time. And then on top of that she was so freaken SLOW. I don't know if she was having a bad day, or she just care about her job or what... Like even the cashier was looking at her like pick up the pace.. Everything organized so she could have just grabbed each group and put it in a bag.. I went over my time limit for the order because of her. And on top of that it's a SATURDAY, the weekend before 4th of July weekend. You would think they would have more cashiers. But NOPE. 1 REGUAL REGISTER. AND 1 15 ITEMS OR LESS, That's it . I normally love vons but today really annoyed me. Get it together and maybe train that bagger to speed up a little and how to bag correctly. Up one star for Vons, not only did they come through when both WinCos were sold out of my Nutrageous, but they also have CRONUTS!!!! This Vons in Victorville is AWESOME. All the employees are courteous and very helpful. I was there on Monday, 01/22/2024, during the day. I needed assistance finding some items, and the guy from the meat department walked with me to show me the appropriate isle. Once we got there, the produce guy was assisting some other customers, and it was not in produce or the meat department. I later encountered the produce guy in produce, and he assisted me and was very pleasant, and he even offered instructions on how to cook some of my items. Once I got to check out, the cashier and the gentleman bagging were also awesome, courteous, and friendly. I went to Starbucks in the store, and the lady there was also courteous and knowledgeable, and she assisted me in making up my mind for what I wanted. There was another lady there, and she assisted the cashier with getting her some ice, and she was not working Starbucks that day. (I overheard them talking). I commented to them that teamwork makes the dream work. They displayed great teamwork! I was having a less than good day, and I left out of there in a very good mood, and I truly felt special. I'm a Vons card holder and loyal shopper. In the Just4U app they advertise a $25 store gift card if you transfer a prescription to their pharmacy. The only stipulations listed for this deal are: A) Quantity 1 B) Can't be used for meds converted by Medicare/Medicaid C) Prescriptions can't be transferred from other Safeway locations 30 hrs. after submitting the request to transfer my prescription it still wasn't ready. And they wouldn't honor the gift card since I'm not a: "new customer." Not only does their coupon not stipulate that you have to be a new customer but they advertise a sign offering a gift card for every prescription you transfer. I'm not sure the pharmacy employees even understand this promotion well enough to be offering or denying it to anyone? read more

Some of those issues they fixed quickly so I added stars (bakery still needs work on cake making & stocking fresh baked cake options). However the isles on the other side of the store are now some 60ft long and we can't get out of an isle without walking completely from end to end which is crazy long for a grocery store and makes for crowding. I remember that one time I was searching high and low, every grocery store, for "flaked" sea salt by Maldon... nobody carried it. Vons is generally a really amazing grocery. Unfortunately THIS one is always seriously lacking in most departments. Needs better management definitely. Especially this past year or so it's gone way down. Always lacking decent customer service and timeliness. The deli ignores people constantly and doesn't keep the salads fresh nor filled. The bakery is always a few dry cakes nomatter what time of day. Deli and bakery are what Vons is great for. Not this one... Lines wrap around the store most of the day. If I can rate this experience a -0 Is definitely in order. I was profiled, singled out because I was black, verbally and physically attacked by one mgr and staff member on a routine visit to Vons. I guess you can't go grocery shopping, being black, dressed completely down, with a scarf on your head. I guess I looked like I didn't belong, maybe perceived as a welfare recipient on cash aid so I MUST NOT BE ABLE TO AFFORD ANYTHING HERE, maybe that's the reason I was humiliated, disrespected,demeaned, attacked, had my "PAID" for bags snatched out my baskets and then from my hands TWICE FOR NO REASON AT ALL BUT SHOPPING WHILE BLACK AND NOT UP TO THEIR EXPECTATIONS OF DRESS CODE.. Here's what happened. I shopped, paid for my goods, approached Starbucks and seen an empty basket and used it due to an injury on my shoulder. Upon leaving the store, the basket stalled and wheels locked. I immediately got the attention of the last cashier happen to be a MGR, asked for her to unlock the wheels so I can proceed out the door, she saw me, she helped more customers so I waited, line accumulated at the door. I share with the folks in back of me and signal for Mgt again to get help with basket, I needed it and was having a hard time carrying groceries, mgr finally walks over after a few min. I was thinking great now I can take my basket to the car. Instead, mgr walks up to me, looks me up and down from head to toe, looks at my basket, and I say the "basket stopped" I need you to fix it, instead she says "where did you come from"? Obviously, extremely puzzled why she's asking me this, I said "what do you mean", she said in a more "authoritative" voice and VERY accusatory. I was definitely confused as to why I'm being interrogated and treated this was!!! I mean I simply "flagged her for help"! Then asked me did I come from Starbucks etc. Now I'm thinking what's wrong with this picture, why is she asking me these questions, I just asked for help why am I being interrogated and being made to feel as if I've done something wrong. So I finally say I came from a register down there then she says which one then I say I'm not really sure which number but what does it really matter I am trying to take my groceries to the car? She then looks at me and then looks at the basket and snatches my bag out of the basket her and I get into a tug-of-war over "my paid" merchandise that she tried to take from meand then take out of my hand. As this is occurring I was able to take the bag back from her. I stated "what are you doing, this is my paid merchandise get your hands off of me get your hands off of my things, why are you attacking me? As I make that comment with the bag in my hand next thing you know someone else comes up from behind me and snatches the bag back out of my hand, jerking and pulling on the bag hurting my shoulder. As I'm trying to take a hold of my bag, and I become attacked and Vons causing additional injury to my shoulder. Once I snatch my bag back from the second person I turn around and I started yelling at her with my finger and I said keep your hands off of me. I was so pissed because I just left Kaiser from getting to injections in my shoulder for an injury, currently on modified duty because I'm not really able to drive. I told them keep your hands off my merchandise, what the hell do you think you guys are doing??? At this particular moment I'm still frozen in time, I can't even believe that this happened. I was SO afraid that the situation is going to get out of hand and the police is going to be called for me defending myself. This could've been a tragic outcome if I wasn't in the headspace I was in and basically didn't physically defend myself .? Far too often in situations like this where "employees" overstep their boundaries and create this situation and customer reacts the burden of proof is on that individual and people become hurt or killed by the police for things like this escalating!!! I'm thankful to GOD for the injury because it saved things from getting out of hand.. MY QUESTION TO VONS WHERE'S YOUR MGT AND STAFFS'S RESPONSIBILITY TO DEESCALATE? Are they taught to physically pith their hands on customers or call SECURITY? And then SECURITY's job is to OBSERVE AND REPORT, what the HELL HAPPENED HERE??? Vons you cannot allow your employees to profile, disrespect, demean, humiliate, and assault your customers. I'm sorry that I was shopping while black. Please believe if I was a little old white lady going out the door they would've never ever been a question of this person's character, who they are, if they're legit , anything but because I was black with a scarf on my head and some flip-flops I was made out to be a thief. I absolutely love Vons... I am only leaving a 4 star review because I am so sad that my favorite clerk is moving to live on the beach.... But i am very happy for him. He gives the best customer service by far!!! My children are very high energy ( sometimes throw tantrums) children and he always speaks to them and draws their attention.
