La Cocina (The Kitchen) and La Panaderia (The Bakery) were both closed at the time. I'll have to return to try their freshly made savory foods and sweet baked goods. Bought some veggies, jackfruit, tortillas, chips, shrimp + fish ceviche, and a few other items. Prices were very reasonable. Staff was pleasant. Check-out was quick. We will be back to shop for more. I was also super impressed with the different selections of Furikake. Most places just have 1 to choose from but I saw at least 5 here. They were a bit on the pricier side but super worth it. Service was also great. The lady at the cashier was super welcoming and friendly as well as the guy stocking the shelves who was very helpful recommending different products. The food came out quickly and was plated beautifully with both lemon and lime wedges. I was asked if I would like a mild, medium, or hot salsa. I chose the medium one but it had only just a little hint of a kick. It was a good tasting accompaniment for the seafood. The beer batter was crispy on the fish. There is plenty of shredded cabbage and a good crema on the tacos. Fish was very fresh and clean tasting. The grilled shrimp was seasoned well but were small and a bit dry. I would probably try the beer battered shrimp next time. Potato taco was crunchy and the filling tasted good. Altogether, the food was very delicious and left me feeling light. Service was very welcoming and friendly. Bar and dining areas were inviting and clean. One of my favorite songs, The Smiths' "There is a Light That Never Goes Out" was playing on the stereo so that was very nice while dining. I will certainly return to try the other items on the menu.

We were ready to cash out and asked for the check, after we got the check we told them we wanted another taco each and another round of beers! A little friendliness goes a long way, and it would also be nice if personal conversations between staff were kept away from the dining area since customers can hear everything. That said, I stopped by tonight about 30 minutes before closing (I felt guilty, sorry y'all ), and Emilio took care of us. I'd never seen him there before, but he was friendly, welcoming, and checked on us throughout our meal even though he was already busy with the closing routine. We weren't trying to be high maintenance--we were just hungry and excited to eat--but he still made us feel taken care of without overdoing it. Great service like that stands out, especially when it's close to closing time. Hopefully some of his coworkers can learn a thing or two from his approach because it really makes a difference in the overall experience. They recently changed their hours and now open after lunchtime, so I waited until 1:00 PM when they opened. I called ahead to place my order, and "Mark" told me they wouldn't even start preparing it until I arrived and paid. If that's the case, what is the point of placing an order over the phone? I arrived, paid, and then waited another 30 minutes for my food. When I finally got back to the office, I discovered that my order was WRONG. On top of that, the food was made extremely spicy and was completely inedible for me. I called to let them know about the issue, and once again spoke with "Mark," who simply told me, "That's how that order comes." No apology, no attempt to correct the mistake, and absolutely no concern for the fact that I had paid for food I couldn't even eat. After being a repeat customer for three years, this is incredibly disappointing. The customer service is seriously lacking, and this experience was enough to make sure I never return. I'll definitely be sharing my experience with others in the High Desert so they can make an informed decision before spending their money here. Three years of being a customer, and this is how they choose to treat people? Never again.

My family is actually from Louisiana so I'm always skeptical but the seasoning was on point and the crawfish was not overcooked!!!!! No personally and in Louisiana the fish in po'boys are catfish not cod but I think that choice is based more on the location this restaurant is in. Honestly that's the only critique I have on the food it was very good. Back to the service Mark wasn't out server but he help the table next to us and I hope they tipped well he was on it.
