He said my piano sounded low but didn't lecture me about being a bad piano owner. Compared to other tuners, he doesn't loudly pound the piano while tuning. Semei tunes by ear, listening for harmonic beats. He used to work for Tom Lee tuning pianos, and he also tunes pianos for competitions and recordings. I can't wait for him to come next year after my piano stabilizes when he will adjust my piano for tone. I believe they were avoiding call. I received the rudest, snarkiest, reassurance that they would arrive at 2pm that day. 2pm rolls around and no truck. I call them and received no answer or call back several times. I finally got through to someone by 3pm, no truck had arrived, the person behind the phone told me they would call their movers who are in the truck and call me straight back. I never received a phone call. I called many times more, only to have someone pick up, sigh, and then hang up. I really do not suggest using this company. I've had to call every other moving company in the area and luckily someone is able to move me on Saturday. These guys, and when I say 'these guys' I mean Tom and his crew from the North Van office of The Piano Movers, did an amazing job. They showed up when they said they would, they brought everything they needed to protect the piano (first a layer of clear plastic cling wrap to protect the finish of the piano, next came the thick moving blankets and finally another covering of cling wrap to hold everything in place). Tom and two of his helpers quickly packed up the piano and had it out to their truck in less than 10 minutes. All the guys were friendly and helpful and exactly what you want when you want a piano mover. They moved with an almost military precision and when it comes to something as delicate as a piano, that's exactly what you need. Highly recommended.

When I inquired about it they said they sent it back, never to be seen again. Rickenbacker replacement pickups can be ordered. Another time I bought a new Firebird and it had fret sprout and they said they would fix that. It seemed to take forever and when I finally got it there was a ding in the back that wasn't there before. I brought in a keyboard for repair and they lost the case for the soundboard that was installed in the keyboard. When you bring something in for repair, bring it in bare bones, no strap, strings accessories in the case or they might lose them.
