Sent priority mail from CA to Duluth and USPS site indicates sorted for delivery on 12/13... its now the 23rd. I called on several days for HOURS at a time and got busy signal. One time got someone to answer, picked up, indicated its not lost just have not found it yet and will call us back w/in the hour. NO CALL back. Called for hours several days in a row and someone picked up and placed us on hold for 40 minutes and we gave up at 5:05 PM. LOUSY USPS service. No way to follow up on this via email or personal contact. LAST TIME I use USPS for priority items. I would give it no stars or a negative if I could/ Should have looked at yelp reviews before sending it here. Would have used FEDEX or UPS instead... apparently a serious problem w/these folks. read more

The post office keeps returning my packages back to the sender!! Why??? I have no idea

I had an issue with a missing package and the postmaster went out of his way to help me locate it. It was missing for about two weeks and I kept checking the post office and every time, he was so friendly and helpful. When the package finally showed up, he kept it on his desk until i was able to go pick it up. I am very thankful that I was able to work with such caring people. read more

So while I've only been renting my home since August 23rd, 2015, and it is now only October 19th, 2015, in less than 3 shorts months, I have already had 3 issues with the United States Postal Service Office that runs the routes from the McClure Bridge office in Duluth, Ga. First issue: A certified letter was sent to me on September 3rd, 2015 from South Carolina which is a neighboring state. Typically, it should only take two business days for a piece of mail to travel one state over. Well for days I waited on the certified letter to arrive in the mail, and for days the letter never showed up. Finally, I asked the sender to please track the letter to determine when it's located. Ultimately, we found out that the letter had been sitting in another post office and never delivered to my home. The first attempt at the letter being delivered to my home was on September 14th. So I raise the question... Why was the letter not delivered to my home and allowed to just sit at a post office, an incorrect post office for my area I might add. Secondly, I had someone overnight an item, to me on September 28th which we were told that the item would arrive by 2 pm on September 29th. So 2 pm on September 29th comes around and the package has still not been delivered to me. I tracked the package and it said that it was delivered around 2:22 pm, but the irony behind this fact is that I had been home all day and went to the mailbox to find that the package had NOT been delivered. By this time I'm very annoyed because I needed the item being delivered immediately. So I call the post office and spoke with Antonio who dispatched the driver on my route, and found out that while the item was scanned and said to be delivered around 2:22 to me, that the package was still on the truck with the driver. Thankfully Antonio asked the driver up return to my home to ACTUALLY deliver the package, and the arrival time of 30 minutes that was quoted for delivery, turned out to be more like 2 hours. So the irony in this... A package that was said to be delivered was not delivered as indicated. Had I not called that day and need that item immediately, there's no telling if I would've ever even received that package. So my third issue which has me the MOST upset and prompted me to even write this message is that I am now missing THREE packages that has been said to be delivered to me on October 7th and October 8th. I've been patiently waiting on these packages since I ordered them in the beginning of October, and I just assumed that they were in route, however, on October 16th, something told me to track the packages, and low behold, the items said yet again that they had been delivered, yet I have not yet received the package. On October 16th, I called a 1-800 number for USPS to open an investigation to locate my packages, and on Monday, October 19th, I received an abrupt voice mail from someone at the local post office stating that my packages are showing that they were delivered and left on my front porch, and that USPS are not responsible for my package. So as I'm listening to the voice mail, I am baffled because I do not believe there was a real investigation or attempt to see if my packages are actually in that, or ANY post office for that matter, yet I just feel as though they are going off of what the carrier who runs my route has stated. But if you just read the two issues that I mentioned above, you can understand why I believe a true investigation and further attempt to find my packages should be looked into. So here I am again, speaking with Antonio who is trying to explain to me why he is sure the packages were delivered and that the carrier for my route on these two days that my packages were to be delivered is some how so efficient that an error couldn't have been made, however, I find this hard to believe, and all I am asking is that someone search the post office thoroughly or call into neighboring post offices to help me to track my package. While I am certain there are no-package thieves in my neighborhood, the only inadequacies I am dealing with is the Postal Service failing to do their job with delivering my mail and packages. And the mention from the Post Office is not plausible, because I've sent placed multiple orders that have been left on my front food and they are still there waiting on my when I arrive home. At this point, I'm highly upset that I am having to take matters into my own hands to attempt to have the online companies resend my order, when the issue is not with them, nor me, but the postal service employees being inept at doing their job properly. As a consumer, I pay my money for items and to have them delivered, and all I am asking is that the post office actually delivers them to me as it is stating it is... I don't think that is too much to ask! Ultimately, I don't want much nor even an apology, I simply want the packages that were said to have arrived to me weeks ago that never arrived. read more

My granddaughter's birthday card ( which had a check enclosed for her to shop) was returned to me 13 days after I mailed it stating " return to sender, not deliverable as addressed". I called the Duluth Post Office, after many rings someone with a very heavy accent answered. She placed me on hold for about 30 mins, so while I was waiting ( getting more & more frustrated I looked up the reviews for this PO -and they were pretty awful. But fortunately, a lady name Camille answered & made up for all my negative first impressions. She was very professional, kind, and empathetic. She affirmed that the address was valid and listened to my complaints, without interruption, about the earlier wait & disappointment about taking so long for my mail to come back etc. She advised me how to return the letter and what I needed to do to make sure that my granddaughter gets her "late" birthday card. Let's not be so quick to write off "all" postal employees here and at other postal facilities. As a former postal employee I know that these are very dedicated and fine people who do their very best to get it right. Expect great service and give respect and you will get it back 99% of the time! FYI: Mr Postmaster lets get schemes back so that clerks and carriers know where mail should be delivered. I am very disappointed that I have another year with the Duluth Post Office before I can close my P.O. Box. This post office's customer service is the WORST! I paid my Post Office fee online, my box was closed, and the postal worker tried to argue with me while I was showing her the receipt of payment. I try to conduct all my business at the Kiosk, because I have been treated extremely disrespectfully. My mail is rarely in my P.O. Box as shows on the front sign by 11a.m., and the times I have gone inside for assistance the ladies that work there are slow, play on their phones, talk to each other while the lines are growing, and refuse to answer basic questions. Last time I went on a Saturday January 30, 2015; one of the workers locked my friend out as she was trying to send a package to her mother. We went to another Post Office and were treated appropriately. The ironic thing is, my father worked for the Post Office for 35 years and loved it. He would roll over in his grave if he saw how terrible the postal workers are. read more
