The servers behind the counters are not the most friendly since they are always very busy and very rushed....there are only 3-4 tables, so it's best to eat at the counter or do take-out. Everything you get here is delicious...prices have doubled since pre-pandemic times to now...still a bargain for American standards...check it out...great bakery...

However, things took a turn when our server arrived. I asked if they had menus in both Spanish and English since I'm fluent in Spanish, but my boyfriend isn't, and having an English menu helps him. Instead of a simple answer, the waiter chuckled, mumbled something I couldn't understand, and placed a napkin holder with QR codes on the table, saying all menu versions were available online. Unfortunately, all the links led to the Spanish menu. While that alone wouldn't have been a major issue, his dismissive attitude was. After that, he ignored us for over 10 minutes despite my attempts to get his attention, so we eventually left. It was a disappointing way to end our time in Seville, especially considering how many fantastic restaurants in the city offer both great food and service. I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

What a pleasant surprise to find Salt and Sugar in the middle of Sevilla! After walking around the…read morecathedral and old town, it was time for a much needed break, because man, this town is huge! Alas, handy dandy Yelp saved the day (as it always seems to do) and directed me to this cute little pastry shop hidden between the windy streets of Sevilla. The shop is small with only 3 tables inside and some seating available outside. It's super cute too with a french aesthetic, pastel walls, and jars of pastries sitting right in the middle. We were lucky enough to snag a table at 5pm and ordered right away as I was excited to try their apple cake (recommended by Yelp) which was suprisingly an apple tart! My dad who joined me during my unofficial tea time ordered an espresso and cheesecake as well. I was very happy with the offerings, as I could say that I haven't had a better apple tart, even in France! It was flaky, not too sweet, and a downright beautiful pastry with apple folds in the middle! The cheesecake was great too with a homemade marmalade on top. The pastries blew me away and if you're looking for a nice place for a break of even a quick morning option that isn't typical to Sevilla, come here and you won't be disappointed at all!

Located within 5 minutes walking of the Alcazar it makes for an easy stop in before or after visiting the Alcazar. Everything is served on mismatched china in the courtyard of a Spanish home (cool right?). However, there is where my gushing stops. Service was very poor on a morning that wasn't busy (from the looks of it). We had to ask twice for our orders to be taken (language barrier wasn't the issue), the food was mediocre at best. NOT real churros by any means. They had a weird almost plastic taste to them and the chocolate was very watery with no flavor. The tortilla de patata was also very dry. Not rushing back by any means.

On our trip to Seville we saw this place and out of curiosity wandered in. What a great find. 2…read moreyoung ladies from the US wanted to bring the food and coffee that you only find today in elite farm to table American coffee houses to Seville. The coffee is great - organic, sourced from either single sources or a co-op. The owners were captured by Spain's use of fresh ingredients, but disappointed that they couldn't find the same coffee that they had experienced growing up. In a city full of amazing food, Torch made me break one of my standard traveling rules, never go to a place twice. And to be clear, it wasn't just the coffee. The breakfast gourmet toast was so good, we came back to grab a sandwich for lunch. If you care, they speak English and have an English menu. Don't miss this gem!!!

That exact situation occurred when I visited Torch Coffee Roasters. When the barista saw I was about to snap a picture, he asked me if he could redo it. I compromised. I did not get another drink because I did not want to waste the one I got. However, I agreed to take a picture of his next latte for another customer so I had a more representative example of his skills. In terms of my latte, the presentation was subpar but the substance was very good. The texture was smooth and the taste had no hint of bitterness. Torch Coffee Roasters also had the most space of the coffee shops I tried in Seville. Accordingly, definitely get the latte to stay if you are not in a rush. The latte art is excellent if you do. If you are visiting the Seville and looking for recommendations, feel free to message me through Yelp and I can share my itinerary/ recommendations, which includes my Yelp reviews. Bread..freshly baked...filling the streets with its wonderful scents...count me in!…read more It was not my intention to stop at Crustum as I was on my way to a local market, but the scent of fresh bread sucked me in. Not the largest shop, but an easy one for a grab and go scenario, which was right down my alley at that moment. English was a little rough, but getting what we needed was simple with the old point and pay system. The bread itself is your typical bunch that you would expect to find at most bakeries (With a few added extras), but what makes Crustum a tad different is the art of their bread. A lot of it has beautiful designs baked into them, while this will not sell me completely, it does add a nice touch. As for the pricing, very affordable as it is not located right downtown, so more of a locals pricing than anything. As for the flavors of the bread I bought (No clue of the name), it was quite good! Easily could chalk this up as a hotspot to hit if I lived or visited Seville again!
