I generally prefer to get my lattes to stay because baristas sometimes half ass it, especially the art, if you ask for it to go. That exact situation occurred when I visited Torch Coffee Roasters. When the barista saw I was about to snap a picture, he asked me if he could redo it. I compromised. I did not get another drink because I did not want to waste the one I got. However, I agreed to take a picture of his next latte for another customer so I had a more representative example of his skills. In terms of my latte, the presentation was subpar but the substance was very good. The texture was smooth and the taste had no hint of bitterness. Torch Coffee Roasters also had the most space of the coffee shops I tried in Seville. Accordingly, definitely get the latte to stay if you are not in a rush. The latte art is excellent if you do. My favorite third waive coffee spot in Seville. I was in town for a few days and managed to come in 4 times...you could say I was a fan of the coffee. I usually order espresso and/or pour over whenever I go to a coffee shop. Here, I focused on espresso and had them a few different times. Everything time it was pulled well with the machine dialed in correctly for the beans. They were also using good quality craft beans, which is setting them up for success. Had the change to try the latte as well, which was also very good. The pastries were okay, nothing special. On our trip to Seville we saw this place and out of curiosity wandered in. What a great find. 2 young ladies from the US wanted to bring the food and coffee that you only find today in elite farm to table American coffee houses to Seville. The coffee is great - organic, sourced from either single sources or a co-op. The owners were captured by Spain's use of fresh ingredients, but disappointed that they couldn't find the same coffee that they had experienced growing up. In a city full of amazing food, Torch made me break one of my standard traveling rules, never go to a place twice. And to be clear, it wasn't just the coffee. This place is something quite special, in many different ways. I went here after reading all the good reviews on yelp and I agree: it is a great place to study, the food looked amazing (even though I didn't order any) and the service was friendly. The problem: The coffee. Normally, I wouldn't make a big deal out of coffee, but this is a coffee shop, so it's kind of a deal breaker. The coffee was made in a great machine, 5 stars for that, the coffee bean though was quite sour and just utterly weird! Neither my coffee-partner nor me liked it a lot. Still, the bean - according to said partner, who's a professional in that area - is a bean, which you either love or hate, so maybe we were simply the wrong group to taste it! Location: Down by the water, not far from the giant tower. The place: Very spacious, loft-like space, with a super chill vibe. They have a few tables and bar-type seating as well as a big communal table that's reserved for study groups/ laptops. I got here around 10:30 (Monday) and had room to sit down. By 11:30 the place was full. The goods: I ordered a latté and the avocado toast with bacon and was disappointed in neither. This latté has to be the creamiest, most perfect latté that I've ever had. Really. It was perfect - I can't really add more. The avocado toast was delicious - the toast was thin and super crunchy but not crumbly (y'all know what I mean), there avocado was visibly (and tastefully) fresh and the bacon was a great touch. No salt or seasoning was added to this - perfect as is. This is a great 3rd wave coffee shop and I'm sure these are rare in these parts. Service: Good! The clerk let me know it would take about ten minutes to prepare my order since everything is made upon request. Price point: Less than 6€. One of my favourite spots! read more

A different type of craft brew. Torch Coffee is an amazing little shop that sets up right along a great view and a stones throw away from the subway system. A perfect place to stop at to get your day going, Torch offers a handful of freshly brewed options and bring their beans in from around the globe. Service is not rushed and the barista are friendly and personable. Some of the food portions came out a little smaller than expected, but they're so flavorful, you are forced to get yourself another round. Living in Portland, I have gotten used to excellent coffee prepared perfectly with great coffee beans - Stumptown, Ristretto, Watertown Coffee etc... Located right across the street from the Toro de Oro, Torch is centrally located in downtown Sevilla and is close to all the main tourist attractions. They have a nice open floor plan with a bunch of tables to sit at. There are always lots of people in here working or studying or practicing their English or Spanish. The coffee is great and they offer a lot of different beverage options, including pastries and small treats. They're a great place to stop and take a break from sightseeing or walking. They do offer free WiFi, but you have to ask for a ticket with a special code on it. In order to get a ticket you need to order something at the counter. The code gives you free internet access for 1 hour. Overall, great place with a cool vibe. read more

Had just arrived on a train from Madrid and was looking for a brunch spot around 11 am prior to our tour of the Seville cathedral and Alcazar palace. A lot of the surrounding restaurants were either just opening or were serving lunch so we looked up this brunch spot that had good reviews. The cafe is quaint and it was clear there were a lot of travelers there as most people had luggage with them. It also had a very trendy/hipster vibe to it. LOVE this cute coffee shop! The food is delicious and the coffee is the best I've had in Seville. They roast all their beans in house and they have a few different types- Kenya, Ethiopia and Honduras. For coffee we got the V60 iced, and one hot, and a French press. So good! Found this place this past week and I have already been there 3 times. I have tried both the Benedict avocado toast and the Mediterranean hummus toast and they are both delicious. They also have great coffee and their iced chai tea is yummy. Definitely a gem in Sevilla and I recommend going just for brunch/breakfast, coffee, or to study/read. read more

I visited two years ago and loved it. I was hurting so bad for a pour over when my wife and I discovered this place. We spent two weeks in Sevilla at this cafe while I was applying to medical school in the US and ultimately got in. The coffee and ambience was incredible. This is my only summer off and my wife and I are literally just outside of town driving in to make a couple of memorable stops which includes Torch coffee. Get the pour over! Also well situated - we came several times during our holidays because we kept walking in front of it. However, the place feels like a Starbucks copycat, which allows them to post high prices (€3.50 for a Frappucino-like thing, €2.50 for any other kind of coffee except single expresso). Definitely the best coffee I have had on my trip through Spain. Granted, it is a different style, and so much more like my hometown San Francisco Bay Area coffees, but they are doing third wave right. A perfect espresso, made impeccably, with a tangy hint, a clean finish, and a perfect temperature. Deeply smooth cold brew in a cute bottle, and a great pour over too. And their toasts! Mild goat cheese, ripe strawberries and raspberries, with a tangle of mint. A perfectly ripe avocado with just enough bacon and rock salt. If you are in Seville, do not miss this. (And if you are used to traditional Spanish cafes, please be patient - the coffees may take longer to brew, but they are worth it!) Stopped in here today for a coffee and some treats with a few friends and was not disappointed! I loved the atmosphere and the staff were super friendly and helpful. I had an iced almond milk latte, it was delicious. I was a little disappointed they didn't have soy milk but I quickly got over it when I realized they had almond milk instead! I also ordered the pumpkin bread, it was warmed up and was truly a little slice of heaven. My friends got iced dirty chai lattes. They were also quite yummy! One friend got the blueberry tart which was good. But the really impressive and DELICIOUS treat was the tiramisu. It was not a traditional tiramisu but more a layered cream cheese tiramisu. The only authentic coffee shop we've found in Seville! Staff was super friendly, latte (1.8 euros) was super smooth and reasonably priced. This is a great coffee shop that has single origin coffee beans and roasts them on site. I also had an orange juice and "croque monsieur" ham and cheese croissant. I think they microwaved the croissant and there was too much cheese inside, but the quality was very high. The cappuccino had precise microfoam in a heart shape on top. read more
