The Best churro that I have eaten, good service, first class attention and coffee with milk that I recommend 100% .

So many options for a churro! First you pick your shape (log, loop, mini loop, bite size, bowl shaped, or ice cream cookie style). Do you want it filled with Nutella, dulce or cream? How about dipped in chocolate or icing? Then there are toppings and the option to add some soft serve. Sure, it doesn't cost a dollar like at Costco as other reviewers preferred, but come on...this is a delicious extreme churro for those that may have a outrageous dessert craving at 10 pm! I love it. Today was my second time visiting DULCE. The churros are really good. But both times I find the people who work there to be cold. When it was my first time there, which I told the worker, she just said ok. She didn't explain anything to me. Fine. The churro I got was great. I went again today with my 2 year old and a friend with her 2 year old. Same thing. The worker didn't even welcome us in or say anything to us. She had never been there and the worker never asked, smiled, thanked us, or explained a thing. Again, food was good. But we felt unwelcome and we were the only customers in there. Also, for you parents, there was no changing table in the bathroom. I can get Bavarian filled churros at many places that treat the customers better. I will say the food is delicious though. I just don't think I will be back with my family or friends with children. read more

To be honest this place is off the chain! I thought it was going to be an average place that just got a lot of hype but it turns out that they have the best churros and the atmosphere is good. It's well worth a try. But if you come once you'll probably come back three more times that week. read more

Update...Owner responded to my post only to try to make my post sound false but, I have no reason to make false claims doesn't benefit me in any way. I use Yelp to help me choose places to patronize and if someone had the same experience I would hope they would post Good or Bad. We live in a social media world. Everyone has a different experience. My bad experience is just as important as a good experience. Customers can form their own opinion if they visit. Exaggerating what happened is just dumb. No one was yelling or making a scene. Owner should probably look at the other low scores and respond to those people too as they seem to have the same issue at different visits... If I could give this place a NEGATIVE score I would. First time visiting store, girl at front taking orders was kind and quick. The guy cooking the churros did not have gloves on and had a rubber ring on his finger that he used to handle churro batter. We watched him make the churros and were bothered by the no gloves but let it go. He tried adjusting the washer at the bottom of the churro machine several times, after showing his coworker who had gloves on that his hand was hurting from wrenching on the washer she handed him a dirty rag which he used to try to loosen the washer. After getting it loosened he continued to make churros with no gloves. My mother was at the window asking him where his gloves were when the Owner appeared next to her on a rant about no gloves needed per Health regulations. She tried to explain to him that the issue was cleanliness in regards to using the dirty rag and he continued to get upset and tell her no that didnt happen. He was obviously embarrassed as he was trying to quiet her from expressing her concern. On our way out the Owner was waiting outside and he was addressed again. He told us he owned restaurants and he knows about Health Codes and he was upset she was saying anything in front of his customers. My response was We Are Your Customers we gave you money for a product we have the right to express our concern about the dirty rag and cross contamination. He wanted to continue to argue. I told him go look at the dirty rag and then decide if he really thought it was okay and take this as constructive criticism and move on. He did not care, did not apologize. We will not be going back. My churro bites were burnt as the guy spent alot of time trying to fix the machine and the other three churros were raw in the middle. Great concept but need to work on using gloves when handling food to make customers comfortable and Owner needs to work on keeping customers rather than driving away paying customers with his combative attitude. read more

Customer service! The girl at the counter was more interested in talking to her friends about when she was getting off work than taking our order...barely acknowledged we were trying to place an order. Very slow to make a simple order (not busy) and got the orders wrong! Overpriced for what you get. Welcoming from the moment you walk in. The young lady at the cash register definitely makes a good first impression. Her friendly attitude made a first timer feel comfortable ordering. Something about the simplicity of the ice cream choices and toppings made ordering easy and well worth the wait. Nothing beats a fresh churro but more so when it's in the form of an ice cream sandwich. Will definitely come again. read more

Went for the first time today and was pretty excited about it bc I've been wanting to go to The Loop in California and haven't had the chance yet. Went with a few other people and ordered the churro bites with ice cream and the loop with strawberry glaze. When the bites arrived, it was very good and fresh. It was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside with lots of cinnamon and sugar! Fast forward 20 mins later and still waiting for our loop order. I went up to the blonde cashier and stated they forgot about the order and rushed to have it out. When I saw her prepping the churro, she was pouring the glaze with her bare hands without washing first and after touching the cash register. The churro also doesn't come as a traditional churro with the sugar/cinnamon, just the bread itself and was explained that the sugar wouldn't stick with the glaze... Was pretty annoyed by now. She did offer to give me something on the house but didn't even care at this point. read more

My favorite place to eat churros !! I ordered the churro filled with dulce de leche. The texture of the churro it's super soft but at the same time crunchy . I tasted the difference at the first bite . The dulce de leche taste like home made . Their prices are super affordable . The place is fancy and the environment super clean. Was so excited to try but disappointed with value. I am all about ice cream with just about any dessert and I love churros. I was sad at the sight of the menu - $3 for a churro, $1 to add filling, 50 cents per topping or dip, and $2 for ice cream. Every little thing was extra cost. I was feeling the basics tonight so I just got the churro in ice cream. Extremely disappointed that the only ice cream flavors were vanilla and chocolate soft serve. The ice cream turned out to be very ordinary quality soft serve you could get from any cheap buffet. It was not creamy at all and the vanilla even looked slight translucent. The churro was delicious though - very hot, chewy in the inside, and crunchy on outside. I paid $5 for my basic combo when I could have gotten better and bigger soft serve and an equally delicious and bigger churro from Costco for $3. Unless you want all the extra fillings, dip, and cereal coating, this place is too much money for something super simple and attainable elsewhere. My husband and I had been dying yo try churros and ice cream, we happen to be out in Gilbert and i pulled up yelp to see what we'd eat and this place was one of few ones. We decided to skip dinner and go straight for dessert. Well let me tell you that's something we wouldn't regret. The churros are amazing, you can see them frying them. Warm freshly made churros with cold ice cream, amazing! Definitely recommend this place. It was a little pricey but def worth it. I hope they'll open a location in Phoenix. read more

The prices are very fair. But I would say that it is always packed and as a result their quality tends to slip and their consistency is not great. They cook their churros all in one pot so there isn't an easy way to have exact cooking times for them. As a result my Spaniard was was tougher than my friend's loop. Hers was a great texture. The chocolate sauce I thought would be actually hot melted chocolate. Instead it's this icing and they dont give you enough. read more

When I took that first bite of the Dulce Churro I almost started crying because it reminded me of what real Churros are. Also just fell in love with the ambiance of the cafe because of how it made you feel like you were at home eating with some family and friends. I was excited to come here because I had heard good things, but unfortunately I was disappointed. It was packed when we arrived, and it took at least 10 minutes to place our order. There were only 2 people working. 1 girl working the register, giving orders to the fryer, and handing orders to guests all at the same time. You could tell she was stressed out and working her tail off. The wait I didn't really mind because I expected the churros to be worth the wait. I ordered churro bites with chocolate sauce. Unfortunately, the young guy frying the churros in the back has the oil in the fryer up way too high. The churros cook fast on the outside and look like they would be done inside. But because the outside has browned so quickly, there isn't enough time for the inside to cook. All of my churro bites were 100% raw dough on the inside. It definitely wasn't appetizing to eat raw dough. The chocolate sauce was pre packaged, cold, and plasticy. It was impossible to dip anything in it because it had formed into one big chocolate mass. There was another man running around who seemed to be the manager and or owner, he seemed rather frantic trying to get the line shortened quickly. I would've rather waited longer and get fully cooked churros and than wait less time and get raw dough, alas. I had high hopes for this place but I think they could benefit from more staff, more fryers, and lower temp oil. I understand they just opened so it could just be growing pains. Wanted to try this place that people were talking about. Noticed right off that this place needs a food health inspection. The tables are dirty with crumbs and hairs. They had a 8 year old boy washing tables with just faucet water and then washing the garbage cans with the same rag. Then cleaning the counter with the same rag. A worker with long hair was playing with her hair and flipping her hair everywhere and then touching food. A male worker in the back was eating food with the same gloves he was serving food with. Others were there complaining as well about the wiping of the tables with just water and the girl with the hair. After the last customer left the ones that complained the owner went and told the girl to put her hair up and she sat there braiding her hair over the toppings then didn't even wash her hands afterwards.. The female owner was wiping down tables and then would go and touch food. Not once did we see any worker wash their hands. The churros were over cooked. The ice cream wasn't good. For 2 churros and ice cream it was $16. Not going back again wasn't impressed and absolutely disgusted of the non hygiene atmosphere read more

This place was a little hard to find at first because they don't have a store sign put up yet. None the less they did have banners on the corner. Anyways came here on a Tuesday afternoon, pretty quite, nice environment, older man, assuming he is part if owning the business was walking back and forth looking to see what else to renovate. Everything was great, churro, the customer service from the cashier, i even thought about coming back later on that night ! Saw that it was national churro day the next day and they had $1 churro bites, so we went back, and got two loops and two churro bites with all the extra stuff. Again, very friendly and sweet cashier, but this time im assuming another store owner, hispanic lady in a white t-shirt was rude. My main thing about any establishment/business is customer service and well this lady made me leave before i even finished my churro because she just had the nasty look on her face. I believe she ran into someone she knew and just stood around chit chatting, but every now and then she would give me a nasty look. I dont recall doing anything but sitting there minding my own business with my family having a treat, i even cleaned the floor and the table from the little mess my toddler left.
