Acai bowls needed some more sweetness in the Acai. The bowl was plentiful and the fruits were fresh, I just needed some more sweetness in the Acai. The place has fresh cooked food as well as juices and a lot of healthy options, I will give them a try when I'm in the area again.

Amazing value for this area. The dollar to food ratio for this part of town is solid. You wouldn't travel here to have it but it's a solid sandwich.

    Empanadas, smoothie, omelette

First off the do luggage storage here through an app/website called bounce. Very reliable and trustworthy. Second every single time we came back or passed the store it was busy which let me know it must have been pretty good. We came back and ordered a smoothie, 2 empanadas and an omelette. The prices are pretty decent as well it all costed me about $30. The omlette came with spinach, tomatoes, cheese he ordered avocado to go with it, and they put it inside Cuban bread. It was pretty good when I took a bite and different I never thought to eat an omelette sandwich style. I ordered a chicken empanada and a spinach and cheese one. I liked the chicken one because it was different. It kind of reminded me of a samosa, but in an empanada, but the spinach and cheese one I was a little disappointed, I thought it was going to be way better than what it was, the cheese wasn't melted and the spinach overall was just not to my personal liking. But the smoothie was great I almost ordered another one. It was a tropical blend It's a small store but it smells like fresh fruit in there and minimal seating. 10/10 Definitely one of the places I have to visit Everytime I go back to Miami

"Dulce Cafeteria" - come for Desayuno (Breakfast) at ALL hours and the most delicious Café con Leche (ask for Almond Milk!)

This is a simple bar-stool-seating-only place that is not at all Cuban as I was led to believe on Yelp but it's got some healthy and distinct offerings plus, it's somewhat affordable in the South Beach area. The BEST reason to go here is to have one of the lovely female staffer's (from Guatemala and Honduras ) prepare you a "Café con Leche" (hot coffee with milk)! Ask for it to be prepared with "lay-chay-day-Ahvain-ah" (Oatmilk),,its DIVINE! The only negative is that the owner charges an up-charge the oatmilk. NOTE: In the center of this simple spot is a case of baked empanadas and a Colombian bun known as "Pan de Bono", I ordered two with two eggs and a medium Café con Leche for breakfast and it came to a little over $12. I'd have this simple but filling breakfast every day if I lived in the area. The pan (bread) is exactly what the Brazilian people make but they call it "Pao de Queso". I also tried their Spinach and Cheese Empanada - the server said it was "baked, not fried" but many of them had "bubbles" in the dough indicating otherwise. The empanada dough was dry and boring - stick to the "Pan de Bono", people. This is also a spot to get a variety of fresh juices and smoothies. There's a steady stream of morning customers as that is what they do BEST and they serve breakfast all the time! The small steam table offering lunch meats and staples like rice and beans was already set up when I arrived there at 8:30AM, so that's a big "no" for me. There are sandwiches but nothing too creative there, mostly meat-based. Not my speed, but perhaps it's yours. This place is open until the wee hours and while it's too brightly lit with fluorescent lights, and uncomfortable metal bar stools, the mujeres (women) behind the counter will warm your heart! I hear the owner is from the Middle East and the workers say that he treats the staff very well. Now THAT'S some I can bite into and support!!! Hoping they'll soon have outdoor seating!

YES YES YES!!!!! Even the two friends who have not been exposed to Latino food say YES YES YES!!! This place is a stroke/heart attack/diabetic coma waiting to happened! My purpose was for going for a shake and pan de Bono. But they had carne asada, two types of rice, two types of beans, stew chicken, some type of sancocho and yucca. But I saw the breakfast sandwiches they were making for other patrons! Damn damn damn! When I tell y'all that store was smelling so good, my hips just started exploding on their own LOL. Even the customer service was the bomb! Little mama was fully pregnant and working. Baby girl please make sure you get some rest. Everybody was friendly and more than willing to help you figure out what you wanted if you weren't exposed to it no food. Yes I'm definitely returning!

Adorable little don't miss coffee spot in south beach. Right down the street from our hotel and a welcome break from the tourist strip. I only had a coffee but I could tell that this is a local favorite. Plenty of people in here and workers were all a buzz. Very authentic feeling. I only got a colada coffee but they all seemed like a delight. The food looked good depending but the price was quite steep. That's common for the area but I was not interested in paying $10 for a coconut or a smoothie.

What's left of a green smoothie and beet juice.

Amazing smoothies and fresh juices. These ladies are amazing! Super Friendly My wife ate breakfast here every day while we were in Miami. They have incredible empanadas and croissants, pastries, etc.

Great spot for breakfast, lunch or a late night snack. The smoothies here are so tasty and fresh and they have many different options. The prices are also very reasonable for south beach area aswell. I definitely recommend it!

I was in the neighborhood to get a badly needed haircut while visiting from the Bay Area for work and next door on the corner on an otherwise unassuming street is this solid legit Cuban sammie and coffee place. Locals galore sitting outside sipping strong Cuban coffee and eating Sammie's and empanadas. Who am I to argue with the locals. They definitely steered me right on this one. The Cubano was stuffed with moist roasted pork and ham with pickles and melted cheese. The spicy garlicky green sauce that comes with it could make an old shoe delicious ! The coffee was spot on and that roasted pork and plantain empanada also hit the proverbial spot. All in with tax and tip for $25 I was stuffed full and now remarkably fluent in Spanish ! Esta bien Las Olas Cafe ! Muy muy deliciosa !

Located a couple of blocks off a major road (Washington Ave.), Las Olas Cafe felt like a hole-in-the wall neighborhood joint - a team of off-duty police officers were enjoying their dinner inside the restaurant, and families were eagerly lined up at the to-go window outside the restaurant. As I waited in line to order, I perused the menu, which included breakfast items, coffee, and a variety of sandwiches. Even though there were only a couple of customers ahead of me in line, each meal was made-to-order before the next order was taken. This meant that the staff prepared about half a dozen coffees, a couple of smoothies, and several meals before it was my turn to order. When I finally placed my order for a Cubano sandwich, I waited about 20 minutes for my food to be prepared. My sandwich was served piping hot, and I eagerly took my food to go so I could enjoy it at the beach nearby. Despite the wait (about an hour from the time I arrived at the cafe despite the short line), my food was delicious. The sandwich was stuffed with crispy shredded pork and ham, and a generous amount of mustard, melted cheese, and pickles pulled it all together.

I love those Cuban steam tables at bodegas and this had like thrice the selection. Ham Cachito: Technically Venezuelan, not Cuban. It's like a long dinner roll stuffed with chopped ham. It's a pretty awesome way to start the day with coffee! Cheese Cachito: As advertised, this variant has melted cheese instead of ham. Didn't feel as substantive or tasty, so definitely feel the ham version is superior. Papas Colombian: Also not Cuban, obviously. it's a huge ball of mashed potatoes stuffed with spiced ground meat and deep fried. Kinda like a Latin take on kibbeh. Very hearty and yummy! Cuban Papa Relleno: This is Cuban. It's got kind of bread crumb texture for the shell. The inside is still pasty mashed potato and nicely spiced ground beef. Not as big as the Colombian. Cheese Tequeño: Love these little cheese sticks. Crispy twisted dough on the outside and a nice squeaky cheese inside. Pan de Bono: A simple cheesy roll. Great with coffee in the morning. Colombian Cheese Empanada: This is such a unique empanada. It's got a crispy deep fried yellow corn shell and lots of salty mushy cheese inside. A constant favorite of mine. Venezuelan Cheese Empanada: A chewy shell with melted cheese. Not as good as the Colombian, but still tasty because cheese. Arepa: Not quite the same as freshly made, when the cheesy is gooey. But it's still got the signature corn and cheese taste. Beef Meal: I got the slices of pot roast, yellow rice (with more gravy on top) and plantains. Good size portion, so I was able to spread it across two meals. The sauce is what set the pot roast aside from pot roast you might make at home. So many nice flavors! Pork Chunks Meal: Cubes of pork that seem slow cooked and then deep fried for a crispy exterior. The deep frying also helps cook off big bits of fat. So the result is a superior pork experience. I got the fried rice, which had some nice bits of ham and egg in it. Also some beans on the side, for an extra boost of protein. Steak & Onions Meal: One long thin slice of steak. It's actually reminiscent of pot roast, except it's heavily marinated and quickly cooked. Surprisingly not tough. Goes well with the onions. I got the "brown rice" which was more like white rice colored brown due to the beans; much better than actual brown rice.
