Starter was a little on the worthless side (a kid) - a five-some went out in front of us - one guy was walking and wearing a tee shirt, and he didn't have his own bag. That's the reason for minus one star. Thankfully, they only played 9 holes. The cart lady Jules was really nice. We ordered hot dogs at the turn and she delivered them to us on the 11th hole. After trying to find many places we could donate to, Habitat for Humanity was on it when we called.. Our pickup crew was Darell and Lil John..I have to say they were two of the nicest guys I've ever had come in to my home.. Kind, polite and happy to be here doing their job.. God bless them because the table we were donating was solid wood.. It was beyond heavy and awkward in so many ways for them to remove from the house.. At one point I did offer an AX that we had in the garage..(just say'n) But these two men were determined to do their job and they did it in an exceptionally happy powerful way.. I was truly impressed.. And they made a great team as well.. After the first of the year when we move upstairs to remove items, I will definitely be calling and asking for them to return.. But this time I will have cookies or brownies or lunch made for them.. They deserve it.. Thanks guys...

Oh well, they'll have energy drinks, hah. After leaving a bunch of balls in the water we headed back in the clubhouse for late lunch and drinks. I was doing dry January so it was Gatorade followed by shots of pickle juice for me. I just learned that the land here was once a settlement of Mocama people. After them Don Juan McQueen had a slave plantation here. When you are on the course along the marsh, it is cool to think of how historical this land is and the people who once lived here thousands of years ago.

There is a gym with tennis courts, a pool, and a soccer field near the front of the community. There is practically anything you could ever need in the gym and I think it is a great recreational facility. There is also a clubhouse that has its own pool. The clubhouse is great for private events since it has a wonderful view of the golf-course. I've personally attended several college and graduation events here and was always impressed. The golf course is lovely and lush. It is surrounded by beautiful scenery. One of my favorite holes looks out over the inter coastal. Overall a lovely place to live and hangout!

This is despite not being a diver. But I am a snorkeler! In fact, the next time someone asks me my hobby, I'm going to say, "I'm a snorkeler." I have never heard that before. I bought some snorkel equipment and headed to Florida Springs. You know what kind of fish I saw there? Me neither. I just know they were little colorful ones. I also saw many of Bob's friends, many of which said hello. As far as the shopping experience goes, A+. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Highly recommended--even if you only snorkel.
