All I have to say about these guys is wow!…read more Needed a job done that a couple other companies said they didn't think they could do. When I called he said it was probably "a draft," Rubbish - never had this problem with the old tank. Either the tank was faulty or the installation is. I would not only hire him for work in the future when I need it, I would also recommend him highly to friends.

By the time he called back though, the builder for my new duplex already decided to go ahead with the plumbing work without hiring Colin to do the diagnostic first. However, Colin was VERY nice and knowledgeable on the phone with me answering my questions even though we are not hiring him/paying him for anything. Spent over 10 minutes with me on the phone just going through some potential causes for issues that I am experiencing. Even though we did not end up hiring him for the job, just from that phone experience, I would definitely feel comfortable and recommend him! Thanks Colin, you just earned a customer! :)

5 years ago, I bought a Navien combi heater unit from them and in those 5 years, I've had them come…read morein 4 times to service the unit. On 3 of those times, they were extremely inefficient and wasted a great deal of time by doing the following: - calling their manager to get instructions on how the unit worked - bringing an instruction manual and spending several hours reading it ( later we found out that this person was a trainee and was learning on the spot ) - during the lengthy maintenance service, we'd peak in on them and noticed they were just sitting there staring blankly at the unit for over 15 minutes!! Like he was praying to the Navien gods or something!! Basically, we got the impression that they would take an inordinate amount of time servicing the unit in order to charge us an excessive amount for an anual maintanence. Each time they visited us, the service cost was around $500. On one occasion they had to do a special descaling process on the unit and that costed $650. We were really suspicious of why a 5 year old unit would require such costly maintenance ( our prior unit was 30 years old and only required servicing 3 times in that time span ), so we called around to other companies in the area and got a quote from them and none of them were quoting us anywhere near the amount the Good Gooys were. Just be very careful when they send over a "specialist" to take a look at your unit. They may be sending you an intern and even when they do send an experienced repairman, they seem to have a minimum service time that they'll spend looking at your unit regardless of the condition the unit is in. Don't be surprised if they charge you $500 to wipe some oil stains off your unit and quote you for 6 hours of work. EDIT: I just added proof that I did in fact purchase a system from The Good Guys as well as an invoice for one of their visits.

On install day, they told us we couldn't install in one of the rooms because the window was too high to the ceiling and there wouldn't be enough clearance. I referred a friend and they told my friend I would get a referral bonus but never ended up getting anything so that was disappointing. But I would use these guys again because they sell Mitsubishi air conditioners and do a good job.

***Update 12/2019*** I really like this company and Rick in…read moreparticular, since he did such great work for me last year. But this year.... not so much. If there's one thing I have a hard time dealing with, even more so than mediocre or poor service, is being ignored. I worked in customer service for many years, and IMO, there's nothing worse than a company dropping the ball and ignoring their customers. If they're busy, just say so, so the client can seek out help elsewhere. If they don't know the answer to the problem or are unsure if they can commit to the job, just say so. I am honest and direct with people and I expect the same in return. There's nothing worse than being ignored, and waiting for calls from companies that never come. That's what happened with this company when I reached out to them this past October, when I had a leaking sink. I texted and left a voice message for Rick, (I left a few messages, actually), and he eventually did call back, apologizing for the delay, saying he was crazy busy. He asked me to send him photos of the sink's hardware and valves, which I did, and I said I really wanted this sink fixed before December, when my kids are in town for the holidays. He never got back to me. I left a voice message again and another two emails, saying hey, if he's too busy for this job, please let me know so I can find and hire another plumber. Just let me know. He never got back to me. My kids are now in town and, you guessed it, my sink is again leaking (after being okay for a few weeks, when I just tested it a few times before the kids visited) and I now even have some water damage (just caused in the past few days). I still think this company is great, if you have a big job I'm sure Rick would prioritize it. And they really do great work. But if you have a smaller scale job, I'm not sure you'd even get a call back. Even if you're a returning customer.

We really wanted to install in floor radiant heating even though it was a big ticket item. Rick from Peak to Peak came up with creative solutions to manage the cost and after living with it for a while, I can say that we are thrilled with the results. Rick is always available and responds immediately if we need something tweaked. He truly stands behind his great work. I cannot speak highly enough about Rick, not only his skills but also his fantastic work ethic and to top out off he is such a great guy. Everything was done exactly as promised and his estimate was bang on. He was very easygoing when it came to making changes. Not only would I highly recommend Peak to Peak, but I will absolutely use them again, and again.
