He is confused about the type of water line I have and didn't demonstrate a basic understanding of the differences between PEX-A and PEX-B. He then quoted me $850 in labor alone to cut out a small section of PEX and install the valve--even though I would be providing the Moen Flo device myself. To "justify the price", he claimed the system would need to be "programmed," but my own research shows that the Moen Flo does not require any special programming during installation. Charging that much for a job that should take well under an hour felt unreasonable and misleading. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere for a plumber, and STAY FAR AWAY

They looked at the current situation and suggested a repair instead of replacement cutting the cost of their quote in half. They ended up spending less than an hour and saw the hardware I was going to replace later and instead opted to install it as part of their quoted rate. Today was one of those rare rainy days in Texas. Not only did they leave a clean workspace, they took the time to wipe the floor on their way out to clean up the little bit of rain that had followed them in.
