I got Rick's number from a neighbor for an emergency job to fix my undermount sink that fell into the cabinet below. At first, the experience was great. He came on short notice and we had great rapport, but ultimately Rick finished the job but got adhesive everywhere and damaged the sink in the process. He promised to replace the sink and didn't charge me. First he promised to order the sink himself, didn't respond for a while, and then I had to order it myself after over a month went by. He promised to reimburse for the sink. Then, we agreed to two separate times for installation and he know showed without explanation. It is now five months after the initial attempt at installation, and I still have a damaged sink and no reimbursement for the replacement. You cannot trust that Rick will deliver on what he says he will, and working with him will only lead to unnecessary frustration.

I live in a complex that regularly uses Fixed's services. My HOA asked if I would agree to have employees from Fixed come into my unit to investigate a leak in the unit 2 floors below. After making arrangements to be home for the appointment, they had to reschedule. I wasn't able to rearrange my schedule again and so made arrangements for a building staff member to let the employees in and stay with them throughout the visit. The staff member reported to me that they ran my washing machine and paused the cycle around a dozen times and concluded that the leak was not coming from my unit. My washing machine never worked again after that. My property manager contacted Fixed to ask them to come look at my machine. They refused. She asked them to reconsider and they sent an email saying they would send someone out, but that if they determined it wasn't their fault, I would have to pay for "it". I assumed they meant a new washer, not the visit itself. The email was full of typos and grammatical errors - not exactly clear communication. I assumed this was a courtesy visit since I let them into my unit as a courtesy and they are the preferred vendor for my complex. I had a GE technician come out who said there is no way to prove that Fixed didn't break my machine. A couple months later I got a bill for $85 from Fixed for their visit. This after spending nearly $1,000 between a new washing machine and the GE technician visit where it was confirmed it would be more expensive to repair than replace my washer. Not only am I and the building staff member fairly certain they broke my machine, now they are charging me. My property manager went back and asked them to drop the charge and they refused. Talk about salt in the wound.
