Here's what I learned from ordering donuts here. If you don't eat them immediately they aren't good. Because they are freshly made and when they hand you the box they are warm, it's best you eat them right then. By the time we got home, they were mushy on the bottom and weren't very good, which was unfortunate. There is a huge variety of donuts to choose and they all looked fabulous. read more

Disgusting, I asked for a refund, and the girl looked completely clueless. I ordered donut holes, and I proceeded to watch her make regular donuts and ripped them into pieces. It was the most unappealing disgusting thing I have ever seen. I was getting them to bring them to someone at work, but I'm not bringing them ripped up donuts they look ridiculous. I want my money back. She said she did not have any donut holes ready the only reason I go here is because they're the only place that opens up at 7 AM by me. Coffee was also disgusting. I've heard of Duck Donuts before and was excited to try them. This location is a really nice area of Lakewood Ranch. Lots of shops and activities for visitors and locals. They had a lot of options to choose from for donuts. I didn't realize they make the donuts hot and fresh when you order. They add the toppings and glaze when your donuts are warm and delicious. I loved all the rubber ducks around the store. It was pretty darn cute. The strawberry shortcake, peanut butter, and maple apple cider donuts were so different as you can't go to a grocery or bakery and get fresh hot donuts right when you walk in. They were delicious though so good! Right outside they had tall tables and corn hole set up. Will be back whenever I'm back in Florida! read more

Our first serious foray into cake donuts. We got a mix of 6 frosted, blueberry, french toast, glazed and filled. Not complaining about the decadent treats, and they were yummy, especially with a milk dunk, but I definitely prefer the yeast version. read more

The donuts were BOMB!! The service was okay. Not really greeted and the kids working didn't seem too excited about working there (I was expecting some pep and welcome to their new store, maybe also asking if a customer has been there before and if they needed any help or explanation). But, did I say the donuts were delicious?! You order the donut (customizable or off the menu) and your donut is not made until you pay. FRESH. A bummer was the store is very small. Since it was cold and drizzling we had to take the donuts to go, although we really wanted to just sit down and eat them fresh out of the cooker while they were hot. We visited this location on a whim and were glad we did! After a short wait we got warm, fresh donuts. The maple bacon is always my favorite. This place is an easy choice for a quick dessert you didn't know you needed. You won't be disappointed to take your donut next to the water and enjoy the view. Always love coming here and getting a treat when I'm in the area. Their donuts are super good and always a little warm that it is very hard to not eat at all in one city if you are in the area to stop by and get a fresh donut. If you're looking for a shake, I ask them to make it extra thick because sometimes it could be a little bit too hot for my taste. First time at Duck Donuts yesterday--location was awesome, staff was super friendly, and the donuts? Oh man, they looked dangerously good. Like, "forget your diet and live your best life" good. Buuuut I'm trying to be responsible (ugh) so I just ordered a sugar-free vanilla oat milk latte. Sadly, the latte was a letdown. I actually walked back in because I thought they forgot the espresso. Turns out they didn't--it was just really, really... gentle. Like the kind of latte that whispers instead of speaks. If I were rating the drink alone, it'd be 2 stars. If I were rating the staff and vibe, easy 5. So we'll settle in the middle-ish with 4 stars, mostly because the donuts looked like little circles of joy and I have high hopes for next time when I cave in and try one. Will I go back? Absolutely. But next time, I'm getting a donut and maybe a stronger coffee--or at least a latte that yells a little by adding 3 more shots of espresso - at least. read more

This place is amazing! It's not just ducks and donuts! I had the best iced caramel macchiato! They even offer oat milk and almond milk. Their breakfast sandwich is so delicious I'll never do drive thru again. Bacon egg and cheese on a hot donut was like eating French toast. Everything is so good here, my favorite is the breakfast sandwich with the maple drizzle and bacon topping and their coffee. The donuts are always a hit and never a miss, I really don't think any combination of flavors you do will be bad.
