Came here today after a long time of waiting to try this place. I actually only stopped in because this is the first time since it's opened that I have seen no line out front! (I usually walk my dog in this strip, so I see how busy this place can get.) I am glad that I made these donuts a part of my cheat meal today. First and foremost, let me start by saying that I applaud them for trying their best to enforce social distancing. It's definitely taken a lot more seriously here than I have seen at other places. An employee regulates who goes in and out of the building, and there are chairs spaced far apart to indicate where you should be standing. Only a limited number of people are allowed in the store at any time. The menu is pretty expansive and there was so much to try, but today I only got two donuts. I got the boardwalk donut, which is a glazed donut with Oreo crumble and a vanilla drizzle on top. I also got a donut with vanilla glaze and Graham crackers on top. Both were very good! The donuts are handed to you as you wait outside the store. To describe their donuts, I would say that they are deliciously warm and fluffy! A warm donut is an altogether unique experience compared to the big-chain stale and cold donuts so many are used to. I would definitely come back to try their milkshakes and donut sundaes. I can only imagine the amazing pairing that a warm, fluffy donut makes with cold, creamy ice cream. I have to note that a lot of shops don't survive long in this strip, because often times they do not suit consumer desires (Verizon, Uptown Cheapskate, etc. which have all had to close). I have seen so many shops shut down after a short time. But I forsee many years of success with Duck Donuts at the Langhorne Square Shopping Center. I was very excited previous to this locations opening, so me and my fiancée got there as soon as we could, and they exceeded our expectations! We got a mixed bag of donuts (1/2 dozen) which you can choose yourself, breakfast sandwiches, and coffee beverages. The sandwiches were warm, fresh, and the donut "bun" complemented the sandwich perfectly. The donuts were, as my fiancée said "dangerous". Incredibly warm, soft and loaded with toppings placed with care. The coffees were exactly how we ordered them and tasted better than the sugar water or overly burnt coffees you get at the local chains. In addition to the amazing food, the owner was front and center ensuring social distancing guidelines were being upheld by the staff and patrons. I went to a store in the same shopping center as the donut place. I figured I'd try them out...went in and told the lady it's my first time here what do I do...she had a one word answer...pick..they had so many choices that I told her this might take me a minute..I was getting six...I was the only person in there other than the two workers...they looked miserable...the whole time I was choosing my donuts the lady looked like I was interfering with her day...not a smile ...no help...no thank you nothing except her one word..pick...same thing with the other woman. We hired Mildred and her team to be a dessert vendor at our wedding reception. She was easily a dream vendor to work with. Her and her team made everything so simple for us and took a lot of the wedding stress off of our plate. From the very start of the process, she was a complete pleasure to work with. Our initial conversation made us feel so comfortable choosing Duck Donuts and I'm pretty sure she was even more excited than us to help with the event! Her team at the event made such an impression on our guests that they would not stop talking about them. Mildred even included to-go boxes for our guests to take donuts back to their rooms/homes! Her team was incredibly professional and ensured all our guests were taken care of, which is difficult when you have close to 300+ people. They made everything easy and we couldn't of been more thrilled. The donut wall was such a great attention getter and they even put our wedding hashtag on it! Visited Duck Donuts for the first time this morning and discovered I'm not a fan of warm donuts. While the flavor is thoroughly enjoyable the texture is mushy. Customer service here is amazing though! Staff is friendly, patient and thoroughly answers all questions. And the manager comes outside to interact with customers while we wait for our donuts to be freshly prepared. This type of interaction with customers is lacking these days and is greatly appreciated. I ordered 3 dozen donuts last week, and came back for 4 dozen this week. Last week I asked for plates so the kids could pick a donut and sit down to eat it. This week I was told I couldn't have plates! I asked to speak to a manager Amy who said no. I asked Amy to call Mildred the owner. Amy said no because Mildred was on vacation. We've spent over $160 in less than 2 weeks and I can't get plates for 50 kids?!? (The Dollar Tree sells 24 plates for $1 but I know Costco and bulk ordering is much cheaper!) So we tip and even had a hard time getting extra napkins both times! This is RIDICULOUS coming from the woman who's on vacation!
