Sausage, egg and cheese between two donuts with a maple drizzle and crumbled bacon on top. My wife ordered a cinnamon roll donut and a regular sausage, egg and cheese sandwich on an English muffin. The sandwiches took a long time. Two orders of donuts that came in after us went out before our food was up. Their donuts are made to order, not just grab-and-go. We finally got our food and now in a time crunch, ate as quick as we could. My donut sandwich was decent. The donut was a little bit of a let down. It was just a plain, unglazed donut. It did have the maple drizzle on it but otherwise it only offered a bit of sweetness from the dough. It didn't really feel like it was a donut sandwich, just a different shaped bun. The sausage, egg and cheese were hot, typical of a fast casual breakfast sandwich. My wife's sandwich was also decent. Hot, melty and filling. Her cinnamon roll donut was really good though. It was served warm and had all the characteristics of a fresh cinnamon roll. The cold brew coffees were really good. They had a strong coffee taste. We ordered ours with almond milk and my wife had a salted caramel syrup in hers that offered a great flavor. I loved the bacon one-Mom was all about the cinnamon. We split the lemon with sprinkles and it was spring in a ring-so bright and sunshiny. We're only halfway through the six, but I'll update you as we taste more. I paid about $15 for the half dozen. You can watch them decorate each one (so fun! All those tubs of frosting/glaze!) and their boxes are adorable. The staff is so personable and warm. I felt so welcomed. What a bonus on a tasty Tuesday. I'd come back just to chat again with them! The patience of these associates as they answered questions, gave us ideas and after probably 10 minutes we decided on what we wanted. Probably the best donuts we have ever had in our LIVES! For it being just wanting two donuts we walked out there with 6 in a box!!! The donuts were warm, soft, fluffy and yet not greasy at all. Great customer service! I felt welcomed as soon as I opened the door. This was my first visit to Duck Donuts. Inside is set up so nice and I loved the decor and merchandise for sale. Amazing and delicious is the only way to describe Duck Donuts. This donut shop is dangerous if you have a sweet tooth like me! When we walked in we were greeted with a smile. The process of how they are made was explained to us being we knew nothing about Duck Donuts. They start with their vanilla cake. That's the base of all of the donuts. The donuts are made all day long by an automated process. You choose your toppings. You can choose to create your own donut with their many toppings or you can choose from their preset favorites menu. There are no filled donuts available. For example, jelly filled or cream filled, but I don't believe you will miss them! My husband and I chose from their menu. I went with Key Lime Pie Pop which was Key Lime Icing with Graham Cracker Crumbs & Marshmallow Drizzle. This donut was delicious! My husband chose their Blueberry Frost Pop which was Blueberry Icing with Powdered Sugar. He said it was delicious as well. After you choose what kind of topping you'd like, your donut is made in front of you. When you receive your donut, it's fresh, hot and delicious! The only negative thing I have to say is the shopping center is extremely busy. Parking is difficult right in front of the shop. It has been over a year since seeing the placing of the Duck Donuts sign at Bloomingdale Square near Jeremiah's Italian Ice. We all patiently waited for it to open. Well, it's finally here! It was my first Duck Donuts experience. Everything seemed to run smoothly at 6:00 am on a Sunday. There was a little wait while they set everything up and mixed all the icings. These full sized cake donuts are made to order. They ice and decorate them right in front of you. All I can say is to just be patient. You'll be rewarded with delicious donuts. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The owner was there making sure everything was running smoothly. There's lots of seating. I had originally decided on getting the seasonal barista box that is full of all kinds of coffee flavors. My mind changed quickly when I saw the size of the donuts. A half a dozen is plenty for us. There's only one base donut flavor, and that's their signature vanilla cake. You can make your own donut by selecting a coating and topping, or you can go with the fan favorites menu. I selected Peanut Butter Paradise, Maple Bacon, Chocolate Covered Strawberry, Sunrise, The Beach, and Blueberry Pancake. I've only tasted a few so far. My favorite is Peanut Butter Paradise, but they are all wonderful flavors. The iced caramel macchiato with sweet cream is also very good. The wait time is the only negative thing I can say. I'm good with it because I wasn't on a time crunch. Give yourself at least 30 extra minutes if you're on your way to work. I'm sure the wait time will improve over the next couple of months. Parking in front of the store may also be an issue. I'd park over near Third Watch and walk over to it during high traffic times. It can be a mad house getting in and out of that plaza from Bloomingdale at the traffic light. I'm just happy it's in my neighborhood. Their cake donuts are amazing! They have pre-curated menu donut options or you can design your own from their list of toppings and sauces. I ordered an iced latte with their cupcake flavor. We have been waiting for this donut shop to open for a while! So glad it's finally here! We first had a taste of Duck Donuts in Atlanta, and we loved it so much. We went at around 8:45 in the morning on a Sunday, and I was so glad we did because there was already a line and we were already AT the door. The people behind us were waiting outside. Service was quick though once your order is in. They have several people completing orders, which really helps move everything along. We ordered coffees as well and I picked out a cold brew without anything added, which paired well with the sweetness of the donuts. Okay so, donut time!! The best one for me (out of the 6 we got) was the sunrise. I love sweet/tart combos and I really enjoyed the flavor.
