I absolutely love 22 Moons and the owner, Debbie. The food and atmosphere are top-notch, but what really sets 22 Moons apart from other establishments is the service. Debbie and her team do such a great job in accommodating different diet types (I am a vegetarian), and do a fantastic job of explaining the food and teas. When my mom, husband, and I were here in March, we especially loved the Irish cheddar soup and the thin mint scones. We immediately booked again for May and we are looking forward to it so much.

My first impression was that the outside needed a lot of work. The "yard" area had seating, but everything was messy and dirty. Upon entering the building, the first thing I noticed was the smell of mold and mildew. Within 30 minutes my allergies acted up horribly. Our room was set up nicely, with 2 pots of tea for the 6 of us. We started out with a soup which was good. Next came the tray of sandwiches and desserts. There were 4 different sandwiches for each of us as well as 4 different desserts. All the food was very good. We were the only ones there and service was scant. The tea was ok, but for me it wasn't hot enough.

The 22 Moons Tea Room is located in Valrico, FL in an unassuming white brick house. However, once you step inside, you will feel transported to Victorian England. All of the furniture and decor are antique or vintage items. Each room of the house has been converted to a private tearoom for guests. Note: You do need to pre-pay for Afternoon Tea when you call to make reservations. When we arrived, we were shown to our private tearoom just for our party. I did peek into the other rooms, and they were all decorated just as beautifully. On the table already were the teapots with warmers for the two featured teas of the day as well as honey and sugar. The host/owner came in and told us that the two teas were a Rooibos Kentucky Bourbon tea with caramel and vanilla notes, and a fruit-based tea with hibiscus and berries. My friend asked for cream for her team and the host just reminded her it wouldn't be great in the fruit tea as it would curdle - my friend has already experienced that first hand so appreciated the reminder. We both loved the Rooibos but weren't fans of the fruit tea - more on that later. Then came the first course, which for the July menu was Potato Cream Soup with a Lemon Savory Scone (monthly menus are listed on social media and sometimes the website). It was served in a two handled bowl, which was typical for cream soup in the Victorian era, so I really appreciated the details. Both the soup and scone were delicious. Next came our tea tier which had the tea sandwiches on the bottom and then desserts on the top. The bottom tier was Chicken Salad Croissant, mini Quiche, Cucumber Sandwich and a slightly spicy pimento cheese cornbread scone with pimento cheese spread inside. You could tell that all the items were homemade and looked lovely. We enjoyed all of these, and I loved the texture of the savory scone although the inside was a bit too spicy for me. The top tier was a Chocolate Cupcake filled with Peanut Butter Mousse, a mini cheesecake in a phyllo dough cup, a Coconut Chocolate Rum Ball, and then a Sweet Fruit Scone with Chantilly Cream. We were getting full at this point but soldiered on and these were all delicious as well, especially the cupcake. The Chantilly Cream was of course more like whipped cream than clotted cream but still had a great taste with the scone. At this point, we had finished the Kentucky Bourbon Rooibos tea and hadn't seen a server in while so peeked out of our room and then found a server and told her we needed more of the one tea. Our host came back in and asked about the fruit tea, and we said we weren't big fans. That's when she said she could bring us a different type of tea since they had several. We wish we had known that earlier, but we were already done with our food and just wanted another cup before we headed out so declined. Next time, I will know to ask for a different type of tea if I don't like one of the featured ones. As we were about to leave, I asked if we were all paid up and was told that the food, tea and tax was all paid. When I asked specifically about gratuity, I was told that was at our discretion. My friend and I then both scrambled to pull together our cash to provide a tip. I'm not sure if usually, they provide an invoice/bill and then we could have paid with a credit card? I guess we can ask next time or ask that the gratuity be included when we pay up front. This was a lovely tea room and the food was great and we will be back.

I am obsessed with 22 Moons! I've been here plenty of times over the past couple years, and every single visit turns into a memory I'll treasure forever. They don't just set the table for gorgeous tea and drool-worthy tiers of treats... they set the table for laughter, deep talks, and those "remember when" moments you'll carry for years. The service? Absolutely top-tier--warm, attentive, and somehow making you feel both like royalty and an old friend. Every single room is its own little magical world, each with its own personality and charm. It's been a minute since I last visited, but I'm already plotting my return (and dragging a few friends with me, of course). They've added so many new things I can't wait to experience! If you're on the fence about booking--stop. Go. Now. Your future self will thank you.

The food was phenomenal and the tea was perfect. Everything came out quickly. We were checked on often. The inside is super cute. I can't say enough good things! We came during February and the cucumber sandwiches were heart shaped for Valentine's Day. Not just the overall shape of the sandwich, but even the cucumber inset into the bread was heart shaped. So much thought went into the food! We will be back.

My favorite tea house. We go for a lot of holidays and birthdays. Each holiday has a unique and delicious menu This visit was st. Patrick's themed menu. All holiday menus come with a welcome cocktail. This one was iced irish coffee. Made with a mocha tea and spiked with Jameson. Topped with whipped cream. 10/10 amazing. First course. Soup and scones My favorite was the ale and cheddar soup served with Irish cheddar scone and Irish butter. Soup was rich creamy loved the beer cheddar combo. Second course: Irish cheese plate. Three different types of cheese to sample. Third course: shamrock watercress sandwich and traditional Irish corned beef tea sandwich. Desserts: chocolate pot de creme with shortbread. Layers of whipped cream and chocolate on the bottom layer. Lots of flavors. 10/10 Steamed bread pudding. Served flambeed table side. Beautiful presentation. I highly recommend trying this place. Great for any occasion. It makes the holidays especially nice.

I was there yesterday for afternoon tea with my girl friends and we loved it! The food was amazing and service was attentive. Everything was done so we had time to socialize and enjoy the moment. Well done 22 Moons! Oh, and the tea was some of the best. They were also able to accommodate a guest who needed a caffeine free tea.

Excellent. Will return with my mom and sister. Food was good, filling and unique. Owner said it's all natural, just what I need!

Had a nice tea time with a small group of friends on a Saturday afternoon. The hosts were attentive, the servings were small & scrumptious, and we were given 2 teas (Buckingham Palace tea and a Green Chai tea) to enjoy with our small bites. This was a non alcoholic setting in a small open-door private room, which was more appropriate & quaint to enjoy the atmosphere and conversation. All the vintage items in the room is available for purchase, which put an interesting spin on how you appreciated the setting. It was a nice experience, but docking 1 star for higher price of $45 per person. I think a reasonable business price point would have been $35 per person, especially given the small amount of finger food. Regardless it was a nice experience and we didn't feel rushed to leave, which was definitely appreciated. So the magic answer is.... Yes I would return again, but only for a one-off experience if it was for a baby shower or some special occasion. One tip; careful on the non paved parking area. I was wearing short heels and the terrain (despite the ragged walking blocks) was a little rough. Hopefully they improve that one day, especially given the nicer atmosphere inside.

Camellia's Tea Room gets a 5 star review from me. My mother also approves it. This was a gift to mom for Valentine's Day and she loved it. First of all, the tea room is located inside the 22 Moons antique store off Lithia Pinecrest. Not many people notice it as they drive by because it's difficult to see the little signs along the fence from the road unless you're stopped in traffic. I live in this area and didn't know about it until former Yelper Rachel L posted about her experience. Thank you, Rachel!! It's by reservation only so you do need to call in advance. The owner of the antique store also owns the tea room. You can find their business hours on their Facebook page. They also post special menus in advance like the one we had this weekend for Valentine's Day. My first visit was to the antique store which is beautifully decorated. That's when I learned more about the tea room. I even bought a few batch teas. The Thai tea is my absolute favorite blend. I made some at home in a latte form. It is amazing and I'll be going back to buy more. I also liked the Lavender Earl Grey, but I forgot that I am allergic to lavender. I can still drink it but it does wreak havoc on my sinuses. I love the taste. What can I say? This Saturday's experience was nothing but pure elegance. I do agree that it was a bit pricey but it was a special occasion. You pay in advance when you book it. The meal included a champagne cocktail (Cherub's Cup) which was made with strawberries. I had a couple of glasses filled as I couldn't pass it up. There was a vichyssoise which is always served chilled. It was served with a small herb cheddar scone with 2 pats of a herb garlic compound butter. All were delicious! The main course was lobster thermidor inside a soft brioche bun along with slices of filet mignon cooked medium rare on a toast point with a dollop of horseradish sauce. It was a great presentation! I also loved the Camellia's slaw which was made with shaved cabbage, brussel sprouts, and carrots in a homemade strawberry vinaigrette. I need to learn how to make this. I could eat that slaw everyday. The last course was dessert. It was a cup of white chocolate mousse mixed with berries and white chocolate chunks. It also had a white chocolate bark with cranberries and pistachios. It wasn't overly sweet which I liked. It was unique. The lemon French macaron was also a big hit. The perfect sweet ending to the meal. I'd say everything about this experience was unique compared to your traditional tea rooms (and I've been to many). Everything was served individually on beautiful vintage china. You get 2 pots of tea. There wasn't a choice of teas for this one since it was a set tea. We had Strawberry Sunrise and Black English Breakfast Tea. Both were very good, but I liked the black tea the best. I liked that there was honey along with the sugar. That was a nice touch. I did miss having the traditional sweet scones with lemon curd and rose water jam. That's why I need to book another visit. They have a Sweets and Tea one for $15. I read in the Osprey Observer that they also make a coronation chicken salad sandwich. The owner's family recipe which I definitely want to try. I'm so glad that we have a tea room that is nearby. I was so sad when the Tea Cup closed, but now I'm happy that another spot has opened. Mom was super happy, and that's all that mattered to me. It was a very relaxing time together. Highly recommended!

All of our goodies, pastries and finger sandwiches and teas! Yum!!

Are you feeling like a power bowl, a coffee, a vape, a matcha, Kratom, kava....it's all here! Not only is it here, it is delicious and served up by an awesome team led by a very cool owner. I have always disliked matcha (and I've tried it all over the world...) I mentioned that to the owner and he said "Nooooooo- you've not had it made the right way!" And he gave me an awesome education about matcha. Even shared the one he was making so I could experience it the way God intended....with an "ahhhhh" , a smile, and a chocolate cold foam mustache! Perfection! It didn't taste like dirt, it tasted like a chocolate covered strawberry in liquid form! We intended to pop in for a coffee, stayed for a coffee, a matcha, an education, and the cool vibes put out by the folks here. They actually talk, smile, laugh and joke with their new friends (aka. customers) which is a very nice change from some places you go these days. They have a guitar for any artist to play and many drink options like kava tea, loose leaf, coffee, smoothies, beer, sodas and more! The barista/bartender Zoey was super sweet! She answered all my newbie questions and recommendations. I tried their iced latte with coconut and caramel which was DELISH. The coffee was smooth with a strong flavor which I like, but not bitter.
