Takoyaki
Laur L.

Love the drinks, not crazy about the food. Get you a big bubble tea and food somewhere else in the food court or nearby restaurants. The ramen was underwhelming and the takoyaki lacked octopus. But the boba? Phenomenal.

This was surprisingly good! They serve up appetizers, tea, and ramen out of a kiosk in the food court at Westfield Brandon Mall. They have quite an array of different ramen bowls such as tonkotsu, shoyu, miso, vegetable, shrimp, ad chicken ramen. They also have their signature Kawawa ramen that has a kimchi broth. That's what I selected for lunch today. It's spicy and topped with pork belly chashu. They can make it spicier upon request. My bowl was the perfect spice level for me. The noodles are thin and cooked perfectly (not too soft). The seasoned soft boiled egg was executed well. There are many brick & mortar restaurants that still use unseasoned hard boiled eggs. This egg puts them to shame. The pork belly and everything you'd expect in a ramen was there. They serve it in a covered sturdy bowl that is perfect for takeout. They serve it hot. I think the only criticism I have is that they need bigger spoons for the broth. Unless you don't mind drinking from the bowl which is the traditional way to do it. If you're not into ramen, then they have other options. I haven't tried any of the appetizers yet. However, I'm very interested in trying the takoyaki and the salt n' pepper popcorn chicken. They both look delicious. They also serve boba tea drinks. So far I've had the Pineapple Passion Fruit and the Supreme Mix Fruit teas. Both are refreshing and come with fresh fruit. The mixed fruit one actually had chunks of watermelon and slices of orange, lime, apples, and strawberries. I was blown away by the fact that they automatically give you a long plastic fork so that you can pull out the fruit from the cup. What a great idea! I've never seen that before. They have many other drink options and many toppings. The service was great! I can see myself getting takeout from this place in the future. It was really good for not being a full service restaurant. I'm looking forward to trying the tonkotsu ramen next time as well as the appetizers I mentioned earlier. It's so good to finally have a ramen/boba option at the mall.

Chicken dumplings

Complete waste of money and time, I just spent $30 for lunch and unfortunately my experience was quite disappointing. The Tonkotsu ramen that I ordered was simply terrible. The ramen is of poor quality and stuck together and the broth was tasteless. The pork slices were super thin. I ate about half of it and threw the rest of it away. Additionally, I tried the Passion fruit tea with boba, but even that fell short of my expectations. The tea drink was ok, but boba pearls were overly chewy and lacked any sweetness. I came at 11am, start of day so you would think they have plenty ingredients for the food they sell but not this place. I tried to order the calamari but they don't have any. So I ordered the salt n pepper popcorn chicken after the cashier confirmed with the cook that they have this. After I paid, while waiting for my food they tell me they don't enough popcorn chicken for a full order, so instead changed to chicken dumplings, which is $6 on the menu, I paid $8 for another item that they don't have. Overall, I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a delicious and satisfying meal. The poor quality and tasteless ramen, combined with lackluster boba tea and unimpressive service, make for a disappointing dining experience.

Passion fruit tea with Lychee jelly! Amazing!
Peter H.

The boba and fruit test drinks are almost freshly made and they use REAL fresh fruit! I only the Passionfruit Tea with Lychee and it was delicious! It wasn't overly sweet, and the flavor of the tea was definitely pronounced! I almost order the Ramen and it was delicious as well! The noodle was al dente and the broth was flavored just right, and the pork belly was on point! Definitely would recommend!

You know i used to go to the mall a lot. Like A Lot! But sense i been sick? Maybe roughly 1-2 times a month. Hell the workers at my regular stops would flip out when i would show up. Thinking i moved and all. I seriously wished i knew this hidden gem was here all along! Sense i am still recovering. I been able to visit more. So today I chose this boba tea and ramen shop for my dinner options. Went with the Taro boba, i have to do it always. It is ritualistic by now lol. It is my favorite flavor! They tan out of all the appetizers P_P they have the Takoyakis i want! But not today. I will crawl into a ball n pretend I'm a potato now. O_o ....... Ok done, end of tantrum. Lol every time i find them at a shop? They always out. Might as well date someone who make them. Or or or, learn to make em. Lol i also added the Tokontsu ramen bowl. Only reason i did it, was to do an honest comparison with the other ones i had this year so far. I will update the review at home. I want to share half with my mom. I been working all day! But the boba? It was actually real good. Less chunky than the one in Tsaocaa, but just as flavorful as theirs. The tapioca balls are nice and smooth. The staff was doing an amazing job! The booth is heavily bombarded every day and on weekends? Its like they got the cure for covid lol it may not give you super powers? But i bet you it will make your joyful from the sweet notes and delicious flavors. I dod take a sip of the broth, it was very nice to. Alas ill get home n eat n ill update after . See ya laters!

I was absolutely blown away by this place!…read more I was staying at the hotel next door and didn't feel like getting ripped off by Uber Eats, so I decided to venture over to the small plaza next to the hotel. There were several spots there, but this one immediately caught my attention. Small, tucked away, and with the words "Sushi" and "Ramen" on the sign. That was all I needed to see. I walked in, picked up the food I had already ordered, and headed back to the hotel. I was too tired to sit down and enjoy my meal there... maybe I should have. Maybe next time? The ambiance is great! The wall art was fantastic, and it felt like a small izakaya straight out of Japan. The place was full, which says a lot considering it's pretty far from the touristy parts of town. I had the Shoyu Ramen and it was fantastic...comforting, rich, and full of flavor. They better not change a thing about that bowl because it was perfect. I also tried the calamari legs appetizer. Crispy, perfectly seasoned, and the dipping sauce was amazing. I'll be in the Brandon area again in two weeks, and I can't wait to go back. I'm getting the same ramen bowl and will definitely try a sushi roll... or two.

My order was ready ahead of time. I only got a little snack on this day. I decided to try out the crab Rangoon, and I'm glad that I did. It was fried perfectly, and had a good flavor. In some of them, there was little to no crab meat. I am still glad. I tried this item and I will get it again. I hope to try more items on their menu.

The Ramen is okay, but it just doesn't hit like before. The restaurant was a laid back vide with Japanese inspired themes and music in the background. Our server points us to our table and hands us menus to start. We always start out with an edamame appetizer and then go ahead and order the ramen. My partner got the spicy tonkatsu and I had wanted to do the "make your own ramen" option. I really wanted wagyu but didn't like the toppings it came with. So I just made my own, though it was very costly to add more toppings, so I just chose 2. Overall, the experience was okay. It's not the worse ramen place I've been to but I'll probably only swing my when it's out of convenience
